Not Basics レビュー 

I specifically waited a couple of weeks to write this review, i have never written a review because I can never be bothered and it is rare that clothing reaches the standard you expect, there’s always something whether it’s the fit or the material etc. I had high hopes for this order based on the previous reviews as it is incredibly difficult to find form fitting, organic cotton activewear and I am pleased to say they exceeded my expectations. I feel confident in my flared leggings and basic T-shirt that I ordered, it fit exactly right, they are double lined so no see through, no vpl, the fabric quality is amazing, I have shouted about this company to anyone that will listen. I am now about to place my second order with them!

Really lovely basics that are also super comfy. I’ve got a few items from Not Basic's in a variety of really flattering cuts and colours. Had a bit of trouble with a code while checking out on the website so reached out to customer service and someone got back to me to fix it, no problem.

Love the clothes and the quality. I was getting rashes and worried about plastic in my clothing so done a total reboot of my wardrobe. Only wish they had more stock! E.g. cardigans, more dresses. It'd be great as well if there were undyed and unbleached options. Or maybe not as I'd be out of pocket 😆

I adore this company and these clothes. I don’t were a lot else since ordering from here twice. The clothes feel great and I can feel good about what is on my body and not worry about adding any toxic load. I’m just delighted to have found place. Beautiful clothing! Thank you 💖

Beautifully soft and comfortable T-shirts and trousers. The materials used are good for the planet (no plastics) and feel great next to the skin.

I rate the quality of not basics, they wash well and definitely not see through. More colours please!!

I have been searching everywhere for a comfy exercise set for Pilates in my postpartum body, and have finally found it here. The material feels so much nicer and more like ‘real clothes’ in comparison to the standard stretchy and shiny suck-in options that dominate the market. I felt it all fit really true to size and I’ll def be purchasing another set as I find myself reaching for this one constantly.

Absolutely love everything I’ve purchased—I’m already back for a second order! The fabric quality really impressed me; it’s thick, durable, and not at all see-through. I’ve had so many cotton leggings in the past that stretched out and became flimsy, but these are on another level. Highly recommend!

1. I love the quality of both items, knowing they are organic. I would have liked the leggings to be slightly less transparent
2. I had to exchange both items for a different size. I am normally a size 14-16 so went with the XL (after following the size guide on the website) in the leggings but they were very baggy so sized down to an L, they now fit great. With the Top I also ordered an XL but couldn't even get it over my head it was so tight. I exchanged it for the Organic Cotton Crew T-Shirt in 2XL which is a size 18-20.
3. It's pretty comfortable to wear even though its tight. I will definitely go up a size next time for more comfort as I like my tops to be more loose fitting.
4. Customer service was good, love that they offer an exchange as buying online is very hit and miss. I would say that their sizing may need looking into as 18-20 was still tight for me. I would also like to see more top styles with a loose fitting. Overall very happy with my purchases.

I like the tops but the leggings have gone saggy at the knees already

1. Quality: seems good, not completly plastic so thats a win.
2. Fit: size guide on the website is waaaaaaay off. My waist measurment would put me in an XL according to that. I usually take a size 12 or medium on my bottom half, I read the reviews and several said they'd gone a size up. So I thought I'd better go for an L. They were huge. Exchanged for a M. Also huge. Exchanged for an S. The S also are a bit too big - I intend to get the waist taken in as they currently drag down, especially if i put something in the pocket or don't have something tucked in. They drag on the ground like its 2003 and the crutch is in the middle of my thighs. But have decided to keep as I've worn them now, like I said I'll get them taken in. For reference I measureed my waist at 82cm, which is exactly what I measured the waist band of the size S to. I suspect XS would be the goldilocks size for a size 12.
3. Comfort: I'm sure they would be comfortable if they fit, but hoicking them up all the time not so much.
4. Customer Service: Spot on, took a while to get all the exchanges, but responsive. Just wonder why they have the sizing so far off.
Online shopping is a nightmare but so is wading through all the plastic garbage in the shops. They are obviously trying to provide a good quality product and experience.

The leggings I bought are very comfortable, quite tight for a size XL, but a lovely soft light weight cotton. In a muted brown shade. The order came in time for my next pilates class about 6 days. I also ordered the crew neck long sleeve top in XL but it was far too tight across the chest and round the neck, I returned it and reordered a boat/slash neck xxl , but the neck was baggy and the fit too tight across the shoulders. The colours used are always not as bright as shown on the website.
Customer service is fast and very friendly. Returns and exchanges and refunds very quickly done. An amazing small but efficient company.

The fit and quality is great, and very flattering! The material is so soft and the colours are great! :) very good customer service and prompt deliveries! Will be sure to continue buying from here - I’ve replaced my whole wardrobe!

Still waiting for my exchange pair of leggings and not heard a peep from the company. Posted the basic pair of leggings back in March & asked for a pair of the wrap front & I’m still waiting in April.

Absolutely lovely quality clothings feels like you are wearing your skin, i would have preferred thicker materials on leggings as they are very thin but thats just my preference. Costumer service its simply WOOOOW i got a reply on WhatsApp during weekend at 1am, keep up the amazing work ill be coming back for more. I also got 2 bodysuit, thats the first time that i wear it all day and still feel so comfortable, thank you so much! Extremely happy with NB , the only disappointment is that white bodysuit it is see trough on me for some reasons.

Arrived very swiftly and securely in eco and minimal packaging - giving me immediate confidence that i wasnt wrong to have chosen their product on the basis of their instagram story- lets face it not all instagram purchases prove as genuine.

And the leggings and t shirts are exactly as described. Really nice quality cotton, really nice neckline finish and nice quality seam finishes everywhere; great fit and very comfortable. Not at all transparent, but not too heavy or thick either. And surprisingly flattering and supportive in all the right places despite not being in the stretchy shape-wear polyester material of other leggings. I was worried the leg length might not be long enough on me - 1'm 5 10 (179cm) as normally a standard length trouser or legging is too short but these are perfect. The crossover waistband is really comfy and nice and they stay in position and dont need endlessly 'hoiking' up as some leggings do. Even during a long workout they did not creep up, bag or slide down and it felt really nice to be in natural breathable material top and bottom! They've washed well too so far. And ive already been back to order several more leggings and t shirts (long and short sleeved) in other colours. Just wish they did a few more colours... perhaps a nice purply aubergine colour could be added to the range?? 🙏

The flared legging is not quite as flattering as i'd hoped. It's more of a cropped flare on my leg length (which is untypically long) and needed a bit of a tug on first wear to stretch from the knee to my preferred longer length for flares that would be more to my heel than just above shin length.

So as a longer than average legged person I probably won't get more of the flared design as they are less flattering on me than id hoped but they are still very comfortable and as i generally prefer things to be loose round my ankles and allow room for thick socks i'm still keeping them as they are practical, comfy and cotton even if not so flattering as their other leggings which were fantastic!

Sooo comfortable and look lovely. Arrived very quickly. Will be ordering more for sure!
