I was mislead. Went to buy a product on line. Went to checkout. Was mislead by PayPal. Next I know I have an account with them. Never wanted to do any business with this company. Took all day to cancel my account. However I still fear they still have my card and info. Not pleased at all.

Could I give less than one star? They froze my account because I updated it to my married name. Luckily for me, my paycheck is frozen and I can't retrieve it. I've called twice and been hung up on while they place me on hold to "look into my situation". I've sent repeated messages asking to submit any information they need to prove my married name. Not a single response and I have bills to pay. Truly awful Customer Service.

I made a paypal account 2 months ago, i left it to get some old to avoid banning my account (Paypal ban new acc instantly if you make some transactions on it). I made 1400$ of sales in 2 weeks and all went on hold, paypal limited and asked for driver license. i submitted, they asked me for proof of delivery , utility bill, proof of address and even what i sell I submitted all correctly and they allowed me to sell. But after 2 days of it paypal suddenly banned my account with a BS Reason by saying you are selling against our policy, i didnt even made any transactions after they approved my document then why tf do you ban again when you already approved me?

Paypal is fully blind and they say "sorry our AI did this we cant do anything"

Mf wdym AI?, Someone made that AI go ask that developer to make changes on it and fix it so our headache coz of ban gets fix, I will never use paypal again bye paypal go steal money like a thief i am waiting for the day when paypal gets down, a good person buys the paypal company or paypal gets a competitor then YOU WILL REALISE YOUR MISTAKES

Completely fraud. PayPal is a Moronic service.

Althought this is a great concept, their web code is MORONIC. Any and ALL ways of clearing problems require you to "login" which is IMPOSSIBLE when your problem is: Can't login because the company won't send a code to ANY source.

All other solutions = Change password which is USELESS when Paypal isn't sending verification codes to either your email or phone.

I missed $1000-1500 on buys discounts because these jerks wrote code that contradicts it's self and prevents it's OWN system from "solving" your problems.

Let me say this once again for PAYPAL to read: ALL of your ways to fix getting in ask to "login". When the problem is, you can't login it's USELESS.

CHANGE THE CODES OR GET REAL PEOPLE ON SUPPORT AT NIGHT. Don't force people to login to get help when they CANT.

This seems minor compared to some of the comments I have read before posting this, however, here it is. I use paypal for online ordering because I appreciate not having to expose my CC accounts to numerous vendor sites. However, I have run in to a persistent problem with Paypal's software arbitrarily changing my shipping address to a street address that is identical but in a different city and state. I lost one order due to this problem but was lucky enough to obtain a refund from the vendor. 2 days ago I placed an order with another vendor only to realize after ordering that Paypal's software had done it yet again. Their software continues to change my address even though the correct city and state are listed in my account information. I immediately notified Paypal via their cumbersome email contact system, and have received no reply to date. I guess I will cease to do business with paypal until they fix their glitch and convince me it won't happen again. In the meantime, I am forced to try to get this corrected through the vendor once again. A giant and unnecessary waste of time which paypay seems purposely structured to perpetuate.

I used PayPal to invoice customers for custom soap orders. I had CBD skincare on my website, but was not using the platform to sell CBD products. I had a special e-commerce platform specifically to be legit with the CBD products (Square). Just because I had the items on my website they banned me for life on both my personal and business accounts, which is insane. I don't even sell soap or CBD skincare anymore, but I am SOOOOO dangerous that I am banned for life? Now I only sell my artwork, but will never be able to use PayPal or Venmo because they ASSUMED I was using their platform in a way that I was not. They never asked for proof or explanation, they just banned me outright. CBD isn't even illegal, you can buy it over the counter at Walgreens, but I am a threat to society, apparently.

I invoiced a customer and it was noted in 2 locations paying with cc is a 3% fee. he paid with PayPal and the fee was taken out from the start. He paid 1670.64 and left me with 1611.84. I did not know off hand when I transferred money to bank but when i found out I contacted payer and he asked to refund money and would pay a different way. I did and PayPal went into my account and did an e check for the original amount of 1670.64 and left me with 58.80 less than I started with. Of course contacting them is a nightmare and when I did they said that it was in their service agreement. I have had account and have not read service agreement in years but you think they would alert you to not refunding fees before you click the button or a pop up would come up. Not them….

Awful company that seems to think they are answerable to no one. They freeze accounts and keep any money in it for 180 days. Pure theft. Beware, and if you do have any money in the account, move it out ASAP.

I use #3500 of my currency to call you and you guys dont pick up to help me solve my problem with my account. You people are the worst 😭😭😭 how could you do this. To my account

I'm not a seller. So from a clients perspective I appreciate not having to enter my CC details everywhere. Absolutely awesome. I remember once I received a customer service / survey call from Paypal Singapore. This person, I can't remember the name was one of the most kind and pleasant strangers I've spoken to about feedback, suggestions etc. Then they just deposited 10$ into my account for no reason. Wish I could have gotten her a cup of coffee with that. I enjoyed the conversation :-)

Useless!! You wake up one day and find your money has been blocked permanently and you can't use the money. I am so dissapointed with this company not even once!!!!!

Yes I ordered an Rc airplane from banana hobby thru PayPal well long story short I'm out of $180.00 and no plane FedEx said they delivered it was left outside nowi live in an apartment complex in the rough part of town the package should of gotten a signature but it was delivered and I guess stolen PayPal denied my claim and Banana Hobby never even responded to me I have multiple items delivered and FedEx has always knocked or left a ticket that they passed not just left package outside my door in the Hood just makes no sense PayPal doesn't protect your purchases like the stated they do what as joke!!!!!!

Do not trust PayPal buyer protection. Buyers are not protected AT ALL. PayPal works to help scammers and supports criminal activities.

They have taken access of my paypal and hide behind their fake user agreement which is broad enough to justify randomly limiting people accounts and hold their money for 180 days! Don't use

PayPal sent my money I attempted to send my husband to someone else because my husband's cell phone used to be a woman's old number. Now after I finally reached someone live. I was told that the error was because the phone number I put in was one number off from my husband's. I know for a fact I got his number right but they attempted to make me in the wrong. I was lied to again when they told me that they would reach out to the woman that the money went to. How can they allow their employees to lie outright to someone. Longer story shortened I was told that they can't do anything and since I used the friends and family option to send the money I'm the one that is screwed. And now the woman has blocked me from contacting her. But legal actions will be done tomorrow. The BBB will be involved the FCC and local law enforcement also because after searching the woman's name I now know she is local to me.
