We have used Emily for 2 of our dogs and cannot recommend her more. She is professional, understanding and clearly has years of experience. After meeting our reactive dog, she spent time walking non reactive dogs around ours, used multiple training tools and helped us with lead positioning. After this Emily discussed where to go from here and then emailed us a thorough report a few days later. Emily really knows her stuff, and we would use her for all of our dogs in the future.

I'm a bit disappointed. I booked an individual session with Emily for £75 which was supposed to supported by messages on WhatsApp for a month (never happened). I turned up with my dog to the training facility, she didn't even stroke him or say hello which was a bit odd. We had a discussion just outside and one of the obvious problems was that my dog cannot lead walk so Emily wanted to show me how to do it, suggested what lead type etc. and it was done by the entrance to the car park on the side... cars coming in and out, around 5m to walk back and forth... It felt as if she wasn't bothered to genuinely help. I thought there would be at least a small piece of land I can feel safe with my dog who is very little by the way. After about 15min of this, she invited me to the counter and discussed things further and answered any questions I had. She gave me access to free dog walking guide on their website. Then a few days later she sent me a report. I needed help with one more problem but had no video so sent to her on WhatsApp later. No response. I think it was a waste of money and I feel like she didn't care about helping out. It's a shame because I had high hopes.

We were so lucky to find Emily to help us train our dog! She listened to every thing we had problems with and helped us out in ways I did not know could be possible! Her knowledge and professionalism are outstanding. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Emily to everyone! Thank you so much!

Group classes have been brilliant.
If you are getting a puppy/have a puppy I can highly recommend Emily’s puppy classes and award groups.
We have completed both the puppy classes and bronze award classes and can’t wait to book the silver award and do some further training.

Emily offers a good insight into the basics of puppy ownership for the best start in your journey. The sessions are great for confidence building (both you and your puppy) Emily is great at tailoring the class to yours and your puppy’s needs and abilities.

We have completed sessions in the day care hall and in the secure field and both have been brilliant.

My puppy has grown in confidence since attending and I feel we are giving him the best start in life through attending these classes.

We will be booking some trick training/agility/scent workshops once we have finished the group sessions. We are excited to see our pups potential and watch him enjoy these sessions.

We having been working with Emily for over two years now with our two dogs. We have had great success but what has been the best thing is how our dogs have grown in confidence and how they are becoming their best selves under Emily’s guidance and support.

Our first dog, Ria, was a rescue from Cyprus, and came with a number of issues stemming from nervousness and a lack of confidence in the human world. Ria’s history prior to coming to the UK was relatively unknown and although a confident dog, the UK human world was a daunting experience for her. Emily worked so hard with us to find solutions to help Ria cope. We had to unlearn 18 months of behaviours that Ria had developed as a stray and then in a pound and re-learn the right way to behave. Emily provided expert guidance on such things as lead reactivity, muzzle training, basic skills (walking to heal, sit, down etc) recall (still not quite got that one!). Also, Emily showed us the importance of doing things to build a trusting relationship by learning through positive encouragement whilst still setting boundaries and rules. We covered trick training (which Ria absolutely loves) and also tried agility which was less successful bit still meant we were actively engaging with her. Because of Emily, Ria is no longer a rescue dog and the connotations that can sometimes come with that badge, but a lovely family pet.

Our second dog, Charlie, is a very different story. We got him as a puppy and he is growing into a wonderful dog. Charlie is a working cocker spaniel on the upper end of energy for the breed, so it is important to harness that energy into specific activities to ensure that the energy does not go into something more naughty. Emily has been supporting me with this through a programme of scent training, drawing on the natural instincts of this breed. Charlie absolutely loves his scent work, he would do it all day if I let him. Each week, Emily comes up with a new way of testing him and making him use his brain. Just this week, I had the best session with Charlie and Emily, I was so so proud of him and how he switched from play mode to scent work mode, working so hard to track down the hidden scent tins, walking to heel so perfectly because he was in “work mode”. IT was my proudest moment as his human. This is all down to Emily’s expert guidance and support.

Whilst it is always about the dogs, it should never be underestimated that a large percentage of a dog trainer’s time is spent training the human. Emily is very adept at this, being strict with me whilst not being harsh, carefully navigating the human interaction as well as the dog training.

I cannot recommend Emily highly enough for practical, no nonsense training and behavioural support that get results.

We booked a home visit with Emily in December as we desperately needed help with our reactive dog.

Emily ensured it was a safe space for us to tell her about our experiences, passed no judgement and listened to us.

Her confidence with our dog was incredible, and she knew what our dog needed.

With a detailed report, WhatsApp support and guidance, the second home visit in February was a lot more positive.

This training changed our lives, our relationship with our dog and there is a much safer and happier future for Bonnie.

I took my elderly deaf and partially sighted cocker spaniel to a scentwork workshop with Perfect Dog Training and he had a whale of a time, learning new skills and he is totally hooked! Now moving him onto gun oil. He's found his mojo again 🥰🫠Thank you

Thoroughly enjoyed the 4 week puppy course with Emily last summer with my Labrador puppy Zara. Covered all the basics such as lead walking, sits, stands, downs and recalls. We also covered a few extras such as impulse control and there were plenty of tips about how to deal with mouthing and various other puppy behaviours.

Takes place in a spacious training building with none slip floor, mats for the dogs to settle on and water in individual bowls. None of the dogs on my course struggled around other dogs but it was useful for each dog to have so much space.

I haven't had the time but I'm looking forward to going back at some stage and doing one of the trick training workshops.

Highly recommended.

Emily is amazing! So knowledgeable and helpful, we are consistently asking questions and looking for advice and she is always there! Our Cavaliers love her almost as much as we do! Cannot recommend enough!
