Had a great day with Martin completing my CBT the other day. Despite the insane temperatures on the day Martin and Lee went above and beyond to ensure me and the other lad were comfortable and able to complete the course safely. The experience and professionalism they both show is second to none and make learning enjoyable and easy. Thank you!!

I passed my CBT a couple of weeks ago at Phoenix Leamington Spa, I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone else considering life on two wheels. Martin is an excellent instructor who will impart all his years of motorcycling experience on you to make sure you have a good grasp of the basics to make you safe on the road, it was reassuring to have such an experienced rider to help get to grips with clutch and throttle control, low speed manoeuvres, U turns and emergency stops. To anyone else who’s considering learning to ride I’d say, “go for it” once you are on two wheels the freedom of space and mind is amazing!

He was very attentive and knew exactly how to explain the different skills in a way that each individual person could understand.

Martin was very patient an knew exactly what you were getting right and what you were getting wrong which really helped with confidence on the bike.

Great CBT relaxed and informative

I completed my Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) with Lee and Martin at Phoenix (leamington spa). Both very knowledgeable and experienced motorcycle instructors. The whole experience was great. They provide fantastic training from start to finish!
The bikes were well-maintained, and they can provided protective gear. The instructors make you feel comfortable the minute you arrive. They are professional, patient, and absolute experts at what they do. Your safety is always a priority to during every training session.

I began my learning journey with no prior experience riding a motorbike and was quite nervous. All maneuvers were broken down into simple, easy-to-understand steps. Skills are built on progressively at your own pace and reinforced repeatedly with the emphasis on reflective practice. I passed with confidence that i was in control of the bike. I went from nothing, to complete belief in my ability riding a manual 125cc motorcycle. Its been a thoroughly enjoyable journey even in the wind, rain and hail.

CBT day was well-structured, running through the all the elements methodically from classroom basics to practical on-road riding. During the on-road ride, the communication was clear, and I felt completely supported. The feedback genuinely built my confidence and taught me how to ride safely and defensively.

The instructor was very professional and explained everything in a simple, clear way, which made it very easy to understand. I really enjoyed learning from Martin and had a great experience throughout.

Lee the instructor is top draw, knows exactly what he’s talking about. Wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else.

Lee was absolutely amazing, took so much time to help me , was very encouraging and down to earth throughout my whole time at Phoenix, you won’t find a better instructor who cares about his students and teaches you to ride to the best of your ability and not just how to pass a test.

An amazing journey - Lee and the team are great at what they do. Took me from never being on a bike to passing my mod 2 full license in around 4 months. Passed mod 1 and 2 others with no faults. Cannot speak highly enough on how they teach and support you. Anyone wanting to learn, this is the place to go.

The staff at pheonix are first class from the office very helpfull and friendly then the instructors 1st class step by step perfection I really enjoyed my experience

I was retaking my cbt after riding for 2 years and I had learnt more from phoenix in a day then I did myself in those 2 years
I had a nice and easy day with a brilliant instructor who would politely correct me but also let me just go at it to learn something new for myself, I have no faults for this place, absolutely brilliant and very worth the money.

Booking with them from CBT through to Mod 2 is super easy and informative, their customer service team is extremely communicative and very easy to talk to and are always happy to reorganise or to help you find a new slot (if retests are needed for example).

The instructors (Martin and Lee) are a brilliant mix of down to earth homely wisdom and cutting-edge upto date info on rules, regulations, tech and where the best coffee is. They're both genuinely nice blokes with great senses of humour as well. I also felt like they were completely invested in my success the entire time - which was really important to me personally. Even so far as taking the time to identify troubleshoot the smallest details to help improve your riding from start to finish.

A great experience all around - completely recommended for all your bike learning needs.

My personal experience for context was CBT - DAS with no previous riding experience at all - and I've just passed today. Couldn't have been happier with the journey.
