Tried Jessops for 6 x 4 prints and impressed with the quality. Did a side by side comparison with a PhotoBox premium 6 x 4 print of the same image - and big difference in quality. Better colours, grea... ãã£ãšèŠã
Ok, so you asked, quite honestly terrible, I keep getting daily emails and recommended adds for last minute offers, orders and Christmas deliveries, yet nearly 3 weeks after ordering I still haven'... ãã£ãšèŠã

Last Christmas I ordered two separate photobooks. One arrived and one did not. In January I contacted Jessops. It transpired they thought only one book had been ordered, eventually finding the second order in their records marked as completed. This year I ordered photobooks early. They have not arrived and the tracker won't accept the order number Jessops gave me. The tracker wants an order number starting with J, followed by 7 numbers. The order number Jessops gave me has no J and 8 numbers.
Jessops, poor customer service.
Gave Jessops one star, because there's not an option for zero stars. Took my Tamron lens to Jessops for a repair, expressly stating to the salesman that I didn't require any other work carrying out. After paying £25, I understood that they would send off to Tamron for a quote and hopefully get the repair carried out. After hearing nothing for around 3 weeks, I called and was informed that Jessops were still waiting for a quote. A few more calls and time without the lens; the quote came back for nearly £500 including work that I considered unnecessary. I declined the quote and asked for my lens to be returned. I then chased this on several occasions including visiting the local Jessops shop. Eventually, my lens was posted to me to be received more than 6 weeks after my initially taking it to be sorted. Ofc, it was in exactly the same condition as before. I explained to the Jessops employee, that I considered them/Tamron trying to exploit me by quoting for work that wasn't required. The Jessops employee refuted this, but it still leaves a sour taste. Peter Jones, if this is brought to your attention, maybe it's an issue that you should resolve insofar, exploitation turns customers away from your business.
I cannot recommend them less
As I write this it's the one-month anniversary of me submitting my order for nearly £100 worth of photo prints. After waiting more than two weeks, I emailed them and received a series of grovelling cut-and-paste emails from someone who may or may not have been a robot, apologising for the delay, which they attributed rather obliquely to "a problem" (wow, I'd never have guessed).
We're now one month and 10 emails into this whole, sorry mess, and the replies have got less frequent, less helpful, and the photos are still not here. Nor have I received any offer of actual help or compensation, past an insistence that it's "being processed". What haunted clown car of a hedge fund has bought and ruined this once-great company? The more fool me for assuming they'd be better in quality and service than my local Boots, who I now bitterly regret not using. I cannot recommend them less.
Jessops Photo provides decent photoâŠ
Jessops Photo provides decent photo services with good quality prints and products. While delivery and customer service can be inconsistent, they do make efforts to resolve issues, like offering vouchers or updated codes for inconveniences. The photo printing and canvas quality are commendable, but their website experience could improve. Overall, an average experience.
Still waiting for order
I ordered a photo book for my elderly parents as a Christmas present. I ordered the book at the end of Nov. After multiple emails and a phonecall to the Jessops customer service team, I still have not received a dispatched email to say that my order is on the way. I am now not looking forward to having to explain to my parents on Christmas day that they should have been looking at their photo book. I am a very unhappy customer.

Went to the new Go Outdoors York where Jessops has a concession and was served by the wonderful Liam. Super helpful man - I wanted to print out photos from WhatsApp on the machine and he guided me through the process so kindly it made the whole thing a pleasure.Great service!

Brilliant service from Jessops. My prints came really quickly and look great. Sometimes the colour is a bit unnatural when uploading images from my iphone but these have come out perfectly and just in time for Christmas! Thank you!

I placed an order for a photo blanket and was pleasantly surprised to receive it ahead of the expected delivery date. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase! The quality and finish of the blanket are impeccable, making it an ideal gift.
AVOID IT
worst experience ever . Delivery date was delayed by more than 3 days , requested to cancel the order and had to wait 2 weeks for them to actually do it . Rude customer service when they answer but most probably they won t . Maybe you think they had a good reputation in the past but NOT anymore .
Failed order
I ordered a photo gift with Jessops Photo on 8 December 2022, which was supposed to be delivered in around 10 days. As of today, 7 March, it has still not been delivered.
No item received and no response from customer services
Took payment for item and sent confirmation email. 2 weeks later I received a refund from PayPal with no correspondence from Jessops. No item received and no response from customer service.
Disappointing customer service
EOS R6 - order J22443011 - I have been a life time customer of Jessops. Disappointed is how I now feel as Jessops have taken payment for a EO R6 and attempted to delivered when I was on holiday and bearing in mind I did advise them I was away so NOT to attempt delivery. So they ignored the advice they were given and decided to make a delivery when I was on a cruise and the camera was not there when I arrived home. They informed me they would contact the Delivey company as itâs the Delivey company who should compensate me HOWEVER no response to resolve the problem and they are not helping. The situation is that I no camera and I paid in full -
Not a fun experience
I was pleased they had item in stock as it has ben hard to source but not for the first time the buying process soured the deal
Firstly on return from PayPal there is no confirmation transaction completed but instead get an email about item left in basket - only it is from a phishing site and they would have you buy it again from them.
They repeat the email later.
And then the courier... While DHL are usually Ok-ish since you have to 'sign' for it in form of a photo being given it - so you are trapped at home all day with 8am to 8pm expected time. At 8pm they tell you it was delayed and will try tomorrow. Day 2 a one hour window so might be real attempt (yesterday just kidding?) Only that hour comes and goes and on tracking page all mention of it is removed.
Eventually three hours later an overweight person gets out of van waddles about without coming to house and would have scarpered if I hadn't dashed out. I expected the imprisonment to last into day three.
A very helpful and pleasant experience âŠ
Nice shop with high end professional photography equipment, I had my passport photo taken and I needed help with my tourist visa, the assistants kindly helped me with my visa supporting documents and I even got on WiFi while doing so, all in all I was in the store for around an hour, it was a very pleasant experience as someone had time for me and that they didnât take payment until their work and my visa was completed, extremely satisfied and have mentioned the store to others, will definitely give them repeat custom. Thanks to the staff in the Meadowhall store, Sheffield.
No Communication
Simple ordering and swift payment taken-Then 3 days with NO communication whatsoever . Then on third day, courier sent tracking and delivery information.
Maybe an email before this saying item shipped? (Fortunately someone was in to be able to sign for the order)
Jessops clueless about where my order is!
I purchased a lens from Jessops. I received a confirmation email of order and they took payment straight away. Then nothing. I kept going to their web-page and checking my order status which said 'processed'. But no delivery. No tracking details. I contacted Jessops. They eventually replied and said "looks like it was despatched yesterday". However, they could not provide me with any tracking details. Their live chat adviser could not find any tracking details. They could not tell me when they would get any reply from their own despatch department. So no delivery. No tracking details. No idea where my order is. This is totally inept and unacceptable. I would avoid buying from Jessops ever. Plenty of other more reputable camera retailers out there.
