My name is Alex Francois
My name is Alex Francois, and I serve as the Manager of the Construction Training Program at One Treasure Island, a nonprofit organization located in the heart of San Francisco Bay. For the past eight years, weâve been proud to have the unwavering support of PK Safety, whose generous contributions have helped advance our mission of creating equitable opportunities in the construction industry.
PK Safety has been a consistent and valued partner, donating essential safety equipment and clothing, and supporting our annual Safety Fairs. Their commitment has directly impacted the success and safety of our trainees, many of whom are entering the workforce for the first time or returning after significant life challenges.
Our Construction Training Program (CTP) is a comprehensive, six-week, 40-hour-per-week pre-apprenticeship designed to prepare individuals of all skill levels for union careers in the construction industry. We focus our outreach on veterans, women, minorities, the underemployed, and those re-entering society after incarceration.
Through hands-on training, mentorship from union professionals, and strong partnerships with local employers and labor organizations, we equip our participants with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to build sustainable careers. Our program isnât just about entering the tradesâitâs about transforming lives and communities.
Thanks to partners like PK Safety, we continue to provide not only training but also a safe, supportive environment where individuals can succeed and thrive.
