Absolute scam

Absolute scam! Keep your money and go elsewhere. They may look fab but you'd only order, not arrive, arrive wrong, and then they ghost you and keep all your money...

I bought a pair of gorgeous salapets, read the reviews and thought people can just Karen's but boy was I wrong.

Ordered them at 9:30am Thursday and paid extra for next day delivery, but Planks didn't dispatch them till the next day (strike 1). Shame I thought as wouldn't have them for holiday but I'd probably keep for next year. They actually didn't arrive till Monday and we were away so didn't get past our local post office, I emailed planks about refunding my 6.95 next day delivery fee and planks somehow blamed DPD when it was clearly a warehouse delay and declined (strike 2). The last day for me to collect my parcel was a Sunday and the post office was closed so I missed the collection window and the parcel has been returned to planks, so I emailed planks notifying them it's on the way back and can I please get a refund on the item (over 100) and delivery. That was 8 days ago since my first email and I've heard absolutely nothing since!!

Strike 3. I'm over 100 down and no equipment to show for it.

If you're reading this Planks, what the hell is going on! Not the only review I've seen you ignoring customers...

Avoid. Customer services not contactable/don't reply for exchange or refund.

My order arrived ok but it is not the right size. I have sent several emails over the last week to customer services, in order to exchange for a garment that is the right size (measurements requested to ensure this) but I have had no reply at all. I fully agree with the other comments here, that there is no response at all from Planks, and the phone number provided to call for help is not answered, not even to leave a message. I have had my return 'accepted' online, and the acceptance email says I should receive a 2nd email with the delivery return label, but I haven't got it at all. They say for any issues to contact them by listed email addresses which I have, multiple times, but still I have had no reply to those. Social Media DM's to the company also just answered by a 'bot'. My email delivery receipts have not been acknowledged, nor read receipts - yet I seem to receive Planks marketing emails every second day in my inbox - go figure that one out. I'm really disappointed - it's a shame this experience has led to a negative review of this company.

I have since been contacted by customer services but they have still not told me how I can return the item to exchange. It seems a fairly simple request but I have followed the process on their website, received acknowledgement, but not to where or how (what is the process?) to return the item. So the issue I have to return an item is still not resolved from my point of view.

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. After wanting to return an item, I got the label printed and went to collect plus to be told the label was invalid. Seems like a common issue looking at the reviews.

I have emailed multiple times after, even tried calling with no luck. I will be avoiding using this company in the future.

Buyers beware. Wrong order sent and ghosted by Planks

I ordered a pair of black Planks x Woodsy pants from Planks at the end of February and paid extra for expedited shipping as I was going to use it for a few trips at the end of the season. It came on time but instead of a pair of black pants, they sent a Camo coloured jacket, which is completely useless to me. I promptly contact customer service and am still waiting to hear back from their logistics team and it’s been radio silence for more than a week. I’ve reached out to them again via email and over social media and still nothing. I wrote a review on their website but it looks like they’ve deleted it — so please take those reviews with a grain of salt. Now 2 weeks later, I have a useless jacket and still no snow pants. Thought I could trust this company but it’s starting to look more and more like I may have been scammed.

Spend your money elsewhere.

One of the worst companies I've dealt with. The fleece itself was cheaply made from cheap, plasticky material and was as windproof as a string vest. After wearing it twice, the stitching came apart and Planks answer to this was to tell me it could be fixed but would take a month! I'd only had it less than a week! On top of that, the customer service is rubbish too. Avoid like a football coach.

Huffa puffa coat XL - Gorgeous

Okay I'm amending my review. Firstly there was an issue with no communication on any social platform which was definately worrying, but eventually it was sorted and I have now received my huffa puffa jacket and it is amazing!!! I love it. It's light but super cosy. Im normally a 12-14 which is the large but I sized up so have room for any chunky jumpers for freezing Finland. Glad I did. Its perfect. So I have now ordered my self some mittens in the sale to go with it. I will be ordering my trousers too from here once I save up a bit more. Thank you. X

Communication and help for returns

After having posted my review on 8 March, Estelle replied and my two orders were dispatched to me. They arrived today (10 March) and both items from the two separate orders have now been returned to Planks due to fit issues - the ski wear itself seemed good quality. I had a problem with the online returns system though - although I got approval numbers for both items, there was an issue with one of the Yodel Collect plus labels - and it is impossible to get hold of anyone (and no reply to my email asking for advice). The items have both been returned (via Collectplus) and the correct/necessary paperwork is inside. However, it has been a stressful experience and I will be happier once both my orders have been refunded as the systems and communication/lack of help when you need it, are frustrating.

No order confirmation / communication from Plank Clothing

This is my first time dealing with this company and won’t be dealing with them again.
I ordered several items from different suppliers on 4th March, all suppliers except Plank Clothing immediately sent an order confirmation email to me. Absolutely zero communication received from Plank Clothing since placing my order, no confirmation of order, no order number. Nothing!
This was concerning for me so I sent an email to them and also called the customer service number provided. The number just goes to voicemail each and every time. I have called around 20 times now. It doesn’t even ring out. I sent a further follow up email and left two voicemail messages requesting a call back but not received any response and still no order confirmation.
Thankfully I paid via PayPal so I have requested that the payment is disputed / refunded. I have also requested a refund from Planks Clothing but not hopeful of getting a response, given their complete lack of responsiveness to my two emails / voicemails.

Received faulty salopettes and customer


Received faulty salopettes and customer service is atrocious.

I received my salopettes from Planks on Thursday 23rd Feb. The zipper on the trouser leg is broken.
On Friday 24th contacted Planks customer service team explaining that due to a holiday I don't have time to wait for an exchange.
I asked for a discount code for free shipping in lieu of the free exchange (I have received this code). I also asked for a code so that I can order the salopettes at the original price that I bought them for (£90 as they are now £120 online).

I have emailed Planks 5 times about this and am yet to receive a reply. I have called Planks and left a voicemail- still no reply. It's now Wednesday 1st March and Planks are still ignoring my emails.

To sum up: Planks have ghosted me for 6 days about this, I am £90 down with a broken pair of salopettes and don't have any salopettes for my holiday this week.

I can only assume that Planks have so much money they don't care about customer service or satisfaction? It would seem that the objective of the Planks customer service team is to loose customers.

You have been offered 2 options: either an exchange (which can takes up to 10 days) or placing a new order with free express shipping and a return of the faulty product with full refund. We also would happily give you a discount so you can purchase the new pair of pants for the same price as you did initially. 

Please note we treat our customer requests from the oldest to the newest, which is why we ask in our automatic reply not to email us multiple times as this will only bring your request to the back of the queue. Unfortunately by emailing us 5 times between Monday and Tuesday, this has delayed our response to you. However, we have replied to your emails on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 

Feel free to reach out again to our customer service team who will happily help find the best suitable solution for you. Please note we can also ship the product directly to your holiday destination to make sure you get it in time.

Good design, better functionality

I've purchased hats, jackets, salopettes and hoodies from planks. The designs are great but the functionality of the jackets and salopettes was perfect for the skiing holiday I just had and I was warm despite the cold temperatures. I have also purchased a few items and used the returns process as I had the wrong size, this was a very easy process.

Super Skiing gear - as cool as functional

While I like the "Drop Cliffs not Bombs" attitude for quite some time already I am leaving this review because apart from the style I want to say that I am using my Good Times bib & jacket for the third winter now - and I love it for skiing (and also for smaller hikes)

Hooked

I stumbled upon planks clothing when skiing in Val dʌIsÚre. We race a dinghy which we named 2Planks. The shop gave us a great discount on some hoodies to go with the boat and I've been hooked ever since. I especially like that they use recycled bottles to make their clothing. I also became an investor the first time round to support the company. It's very refreshing. A lot of the skiwear is transferable to sailing especially the hats!!! I think I have the all.
