Play Scrabble is the most frustrating unethical site you could play on - how do players switch time left - I had about 7 min left - when my opponent eventually played after about 5mins they had gone done to 1.22 but as soon as they played our times switched over - I got his time and he took mine -this has happened multiply times to be a incident - it is faulty and has a lot of incidents

Frozen screen timed me out , computer manages a 7 letter EVERY time whilst I get all vowels and have to swap tiles twice - very unfair game for actual people

Rating system (ELO) is opaque

Opponent quits game. Software says "You won", rating plummets. Que?

Win 70 games out of 100. Displayed Win Percentage shown as 53%.

This is the second time that I place and submit my move and the game spins and spins until the game times out. Technically I win but somehow it twists the victory and claims I timed out. I don't mind quirks now and then but this is just frustrating with grand master level already skewed to the AI to win (it always goes first, seems to disallow words it has used prior, etc.)

You WILL be hacked on this site, it is a cloned app, and will allow access to your camera and microphone. Up to, and even imbedding a rig kit in your device.
On this site there are interactive communications that are not ai !
Beware! I initially was hacked on Words With Friends and this site & app is utilized by the same individual/s.

It's not perfect but it is a good site to play Scrabble on. Keep your eye on the timer and be aware that people cheat using the Wordfinder option but you can have a lot of fun on this site. The USA version has more players than the British version and doesn't accept zo and ze.

Clearly winning by a noticeable amount of points, still lose game because I put a tile down one second too late before the timer ran out and they game hands the PC opponent 100 bonus points to slam itself ahead

Garbage site

stupid system that allows things that arent even words, and on top of that the computer allows letters that connect to or bisect existing words to add points on without forming actual secondary worlds

I like playing play scrabble.com if you choose the Hard option, you keep getting 4 or 5 vowels from the second round onwards. You may get one ot two high point letters. The computer gets the high numbered letters and in every game it makes a seven letter word. It is almost impossible to score more than 250. I thought I was a very good player.

Keeps crashing. I place tiles which the computer isn't acknowledging (when I submit my word it just keeps saying I haven't) so I refresh and lose tiles along with the valid word I had in place.

So, you hit Start Game. Another player joins. You are the higher rated player so the opponent doesn't want to play and decides to cancel. You instantly lose anything up to 30 points on your rating. You haven't played a word, neither has you opponent - they just quit - and you lose.

There are other traps. For example, a lower rated player takes the lead early in the game so his game score is (probably) temporarily higher than yours. He pulls the plug mid-game. As long as he has the higher score when quitting he is said to have won.
