Plithus レビュー 

I did a short Plithus study on Prolific and was accepted into their July gametest, and nothing but good things to say about the team and the experience.

I linked my Steam profile and was accepted based on my gaming history, but you can also do PSN.

Compensation was generous, and the team was really responsive with help and responding to bugs and quickly released fixes to their platform software when something wasn't working right.

Payment was generally really quick, would happily work with this team again.

I tested multiple games on site in Germany during the Gamescom 2026 week. The organizer conducted the event quite smoothly. They answered every inquiries we had and I could say they tried to go well and beyond to accommodate everyone. I got my payment in full amount as Amazon gift card. Although I cannot say the same for others who used virtual Visa method of payment.

I was a playtester for an offline event in Germany. Overall the experience was good, the Staff was friendly and helpfull and the promised money (around 70€ per 2 hours) arrived around 2 weeks later.

-1 star for overall disorganisation, changing schedules, multiple forms, short notice and payment per virtual visa cards or amazon gift cards.
I would have prefered a direct transaction to my account or similar.
Payment amount for additional interviews was only 10€ and not communicated well. I think the rate is too low, considering the standard rate per hour is around 35€ and the interview took around 20-30 minutes.
I recommend Plithus offline testing nevertheless. I cant speak for the normal App use, as i have not tested it.

I've had a very good experience with Plithus over the course of a handful of playtests, with clear guides on how to set up the launcher and test recording, as well as clear communication on payments. Looking forward to working with them more in the future,

Sehr gut organisiertes Event – meine anfängliche Skepsis war unbegründet

Ich habe am Offline Game Test Event von Plithus in Köln teilgenommen, bei dem man Spiele vor dem offiziellen Release testen konnte und dafür vergütet wurde. Da ich vorher nichts Vergleichbares mitgemacht hatte, hier mal ein ausführlicher Erfahrungsbericht.

Der erste Eindruck

Ich war anfangs, ehrlich gesagt, ziemlich skeptisch. Beworben wurde das Event unter anderem über Instagram, teilweise mit sichtbar KI-generierten Inhalten – und viel belastbaren Hintergrund zum Anbieter hat man im Vorfeld auch nicht gefunden. Das hat bei mir erstmal ein Fragezeichen hinterlassen, und ich bin mit gemischten Erwartungen hingefahren. Rückblickend kann ich sagen: Das war wirklich nur der erste Eindruck, und der hat sich vor Ort komplett gedreht.

Ablauf und Organisation

Das Event war von Anfang bis Ende durchdacht strukturiert. Man wurde direkt beim Ankommen in Empfang genommen und ausführlich eingewiesen – es war zu jedem Zeitpunkt klar, was ansteht, was von einem erwartet wird und wie der weitere Ablauf aussieht. Kein Chaos, keine unnötigen Wartezeiten, keine Momente, in denen man ratlos in der Gegend steht. Gerade bei einem Format, das man vorher nicht kennt, macht das einen riesigen Unterschied.

Das Team

Das ist für mich der Punkt, der am meisten hervorsticht. Das Plithus Team hat sich zu jeder Sekunde Zeit genommen, um Fragen zu beantworten – und zwar wirklich vollumfänglich, nicht mit halbgaren Standardantworten. Das galt sowohl für Fragen vor Ort als auch für alles, was über Discord lief. Man hatte durchgehend das Gefühl, dass da Leute sitzen, die Bock auf die Sache haben und die Teilnehmer ernst nehmen. Genau das hat meine anfängliche Skepsis innerhalb kürzester Zeit aufgelöst.

Vergütung

Auch hier gibt es von mir nichts zu bemängeln. Die Vergütung war meiner Meinung nach sehr gut – fair im Verhältnis zum Aufwand und definitiv im oberen Bereich dessen, was man in dem Bereich erwarten würde. Es gab keine versteckten Bedingungen oder nachträglichen Diskussionen, alles lief so ab, wie es vorher kommuniziert wurde.

Fazit

Spiele vor Release testen, gut betreut werden und dafür anständig bezahlt werden – das Paket stimmt einfach. Wer sich, so wie ich, vom Marketing-Auftritt hat abschrecken lassen: Gebt dem Ganzen eine Chance, das Event selbst hält deutlich mehr als der erste Eindruck verspricht. Ich bin beim nächsten Mal auf jeden Fall wieder dabei und kann Plithus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Plithus is simply fantastic! The platform delivers exactly what it promises. You test new games, provide constructive feedback to developers, and get rewarded for it. The best part is seeing the constant evolution of the testing processes, which demonstrates the team's commitment to quality. I’ve had the chance to test several titles there, and the support team deserves special mention, they are incredibly quick, attentive, and helpful in any situation. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves games and wants to be part of the development process!

The organisation of the offline game testing in cologne was really well executed and it felt very comfortable to do the testing.

Plithus hat im Rahmen der gamescom einen Playtest in Köln veranstaltet. Am Anfang war ich wegen der Steam Connection zur Verifizierung der Spielzeit etwas skeptisch aber da es nur ein lesender Zugriff war und es bereits andere Reviews gab habe ich das gemacht.

Auf dem Discord wurde man immer Informiert und konnte durchgehend Fragen stellen oder Tickets eröffnen. Vort Ort beim Playtest war alles sehr proffesionell aufgebaut und sogar sehr groß aufgezogen. Er fand im Hilton Hotel beim HBF statt. Die Zeiten wurden eingehalten und man wurde mit Getränken und Obst versorgt. Die Auszahlung erfolgte wie angekündigt 7-10 Werktage nach durchführung.

Alles in allem kann ich Plithus empfehlen. Sehr professionell und seriös. Wenn es wieder ein Playtest gibt nehme ich gerne erneut Teil.

I participated in the Cologne Playtest.

I genrally had a great time, staff we're extremly Friendly, we had alot of drinks, food could've been more but they told us to bring our own for long sessions.

Most of the Games were great, payment took a bit, but once processed it went smooth. Very Fair payment and open Communication about every step. They Reacted extremly positive about spontaneous requests and Changes.

Will definetly Participate again, if i get invited again!

This is the first on-site play testing/QA I have ever been part of and I couldn't have wished for a more pleasant experience.

Huge shoutouts to the extremely nice and communicative staff. I'm surprised by how well organized the entire operation already is, considering they've just started out and are already expanding to different regions and whatnot. I'd be more than happy to continue working with them in the coming future.

I have playtested many indie games, thanks to Plithus. It is quite fun and engaging to playtest different games and help out developers with structured feedback. They also have rewards for few playtests which is a bonus.

I started doing playtest for plithus on march of 2026, and although it hasn't been that long, i have done more playtests and received more support when necessary than with any other company that i have worked for in 3 years of playtesting. The community on their discord also has been the most cordial and friendly that i have seen even against game communities. The payment was mostly fast, explanations were given when it would take a bit more time, and the plithus staff give a lot of transparency on any issues or problems that may arise, they are the best!

The entire experience on this platform was very intuitive, everything worked as it was intended to work. The staff was also highly responsive and very helpful for any minor issues that sometimes popped up. The staff felt like they were always looking to work with you and help fix anything, rather than making game testers feel like a mistake would affect their submissions.

I came to know of Plithus through a referral. I decided to give it a try without many expectations due to poor experiences with similar services in the past, with similar promises. I'm happy to say that, so far, I have been pleasantly surprised and my expectations far surpassed.

The process to join and participate in the different tests available has been so smooth and easy to do. There are clear instructions to follow and simple tasks to do. It's not overly complicated nor convoluted. In the eventually that something isn't clear, the staff and community is ready to help. Granted, there have been hiccups here and there, but they have been addressed and resolved on a timely manner. They really have been good to us so far.

Speaking of, the staff. They are a very pleasant bunch more than willing to make everything work as it should. They have been nice and attentive. I dare say working against the clock so everyone can have a nice and pleasant experience here.

The community are a hilarious and friendly bunch. Most of them ready to help you out and do the cooperative test with you. (Special thanks to the mvp that carried us out during that one particular test haha).

As for the rewards, 10/10. They are delivered without unnecessary steps and fairly quickly. In the event that there seems to be a problem, they communicate that to us. If there's a problem with your submission, they let you know as well.

I have been rather satisfied to date and hope we continue to receive this great opportunity in the future. With Plithus, I have discovered many great upcoming games that are promising, that I'm quite glad I have been able to help in shaping them up even if just a bit, and that I look forward to play.

Plithus is a game testing company but really feels more like a community. Staff is so helpful and extremely friendly. I love working with Plithus and would recommend them to anyone that either loves to test games or wants their game tested, very respectful company.

Plithus is a great app for anyone interested in playtesting games. All rules are easy to understand and stated beforehand. I received every payment promised for my reviews and surveys. If you encounter any problems their team is ready to help (best and fastest to reach them on discord)

Hands-down one of the best and most flexible playtesting experiences! I've been "working" (not really work lol) with Plithus since the beginning of July 2026 for their "July Global Playtest Event" and I've had the opportunity to playtest a couple games with them. At first, I wasn't sure how the process would go with them as I've done playtesting before Plithus. Honestly, I can say without exaggeration that the experience has been really great. The process is really hands-off compared to other companies, you're allowed to play and enjoy the games on your own time which allows you to actually appreciate the games that you're trying out and have it be an authentic gaming experience, which wasn't the case with most of the other companies I've done playtests for... Not to mention that the staff is really friendly and responsive and they've managed to build a great community on discord in which you can play and socialize with other people. I recommended Plithus to my IRL friends as I would recommend it to strangers. If you want to be able to play new games before release, enjoy them and get paid, well this is a good place for you.
