This Company has no integrity, they will charge you without doing any work. Big scam dont get involved.There are lot of others let down by this company as you can see in the reviews. It was a big mistake not looking at reviews before engaging with the.

I am writing this to warn others, particularly seniors, about the deceptive pricing practices of PM247.

I was originally quoted a basic charge of £120 + VAT for a drain unblocking. However, once the engineer arrived, I was hit with a massive price hike to £445 + VAT (£534 total) simply for the use of a pressure hose—standard equipment that any drainage professional carries as part of their basic kit.

When I later queried their advertised "Senior Discount," the experience went from extortionate to outright deceptive. The accounts department claimed they "already knew" I was a senior and had applied a discount from a phantom "original price" of £495. This is a blatant lie for three reasons:

No Age Verification: I was never asked my age during booking or on-site. They could not have applied a discount for a status they didn't know I had.

Fabricated Reference Price: The "£495" figure appears nowhere in my contract; it was clearly invented after the fact to justify the high bill.

Extreme Overcharging: In 2026, the average London rate for drain jetting is between £200 and £280. PM247 charged me over double the market rate under the pressure of an emergency.

I have spoken to the engineer, who confirms the office's version of events is incorrect. I have reported this company to Trading Standards and Citizens Advice for "Misleading Actions" and have initiated a Mastercard Chargeback through my bank.

Advice to others: Avoid this company. They use "bait and switch" tactics and high-pressure pricing. If you have been treated similarly, report them immediately.

Scammed. Same as previous reviewers. Told it was going to cost another £400 (for something I'm sure another company would have fixed in a mo). Avoid.

⁠Response time was good and the pipe was unblocked without any problems. The job itself was quick, though the total price was more than I anticipated.

The blockage was fixed and the technician seemed experienced. However, the process took some time to start due to paperwork and the cost felt a bit higher than expected.

⁠They came out fairly quickly and solved the blocked pipe issue within minutes. The technician used professional equipment and the pipe was cleared. I just wish the pricing had been clearer beforehand.

The engineer was very good. be aware that head office will charge you an initial fee for the call out. They will then add a huge price on to complete the work.
I was quoted £120 to clear a blocked drain. They then tried to charge me an extra £400!

The requested job was undertaken on behalf of someone that we support. It was a particularly unpleasant job and another company local to the area had declined to undertake the job. PM247 attended on very short notice, quite literally rolled their sleeves up and got the issues sorted, no fuss. Communication was excellent, price was very competitive and service was above and beyond what was expected. I could not have asked more from this company and their engineers, absolutely first class service from start to finish.

Substandard and didn’t even unblock the drain correctly still blocked further down the line and backed up 1/2 later. Turned up a day late, supposedly due to all night blockage and charge a call out charge. Asked for £575 to unblock we said no. Turned back up 15 mins later and said they will do it for £200 cash and didn’t even clear the block drain outrages

⁠The team arrived quickly and managed to unblock the external pipe using a flexible rod. The work itself only took a short time, but the price felt quite high for the job. Overall the service was okay but the cost could be more reasonable.

Billed us £450 for a small job, then tried to charge us £2500 to install a water tap and drain. Work they did was substandard and needed another plumber to remedy.

Avoid at all cost.

They failed to come out on th day we booked saying another job overran. The engineer came the next day and they quoted an outrageous price. Engineer left but return to our doorstep 10 minutes later and accept a cash in hand offer £300 cheaper than quoted on the phone. He accepted and cleared the blockage.

All very strange! Guy on phone not overly helpful. Pricing system is nonsense for drain clearance. They quote £120 plus vat to clear drains using rods. However when the engineer turned up he came in with 2 rods and stuck them into the drain, saying they wouldn't work. He said they cannot use more than 2 metres of rods as rods might get stuck inside drain. Pointless, as anyone who clears their drains knows you need around 10-12 rods to go along length of drain! then he told me he would need to get machinery out and that the office would phone me and tell me cost. Office then quoted £410 plus vat. I refused at which point he said I had to pay the £120 plus vat as a call out charge. I refused to pay this too. The engineer then got involved and offered to 'do it privately' for £300 cash. I said what about the call out charge and he said 'just leave that with me'! He did clear the drains and did a good job in about 20 mins and I paid the £300 in cash. Total scam re pricing! I would not use again. Although the job got done and the engineer was pleasant enough, he did leave a mess, traipsing through my house in squelching wet boots. I would not recommend this company.

Is it ok to pay £594 for a 10minute job? I was not at home but on my way I received a call from PM247 to quote 2 hours labour, cutting pipes + specialised equipment to jet wash... I paid as they refused to start without the payment first and I did not want to delay the works... I 'literally' got home 10 minutes later but the 'engineer' was already gone! I have called and asked to review the quote but they are proud of their work and 'reasonable' price... where is common sense gone! AVOID THIS SCAM!!

I have never left a review before but the experience I had with this company was so bad., I felt I had to . They were 4 hours late , initial £150 to stick a stick from the garden in the drain . Then another £450 for a 5 minute jet wash … no camera , as it wasn’t working . I had to have it done as they had come so late., I had no alternative. Today, their follow up call was an absolute joke. I told them I wasn’t happy with the service, could not have cared less . Just a box-ticking exercise. Oh… and only partially fixed it !!! Please avoid.

Dreadful unch of scammers! Trying to charge me £1200 to jet a drain and put cameras down. Tried to negotiate with them and they came down to £795 for about an hours work at the outside.
Avoid them like the bubonic plague!!!!

Cant stand companies who rip people off. These guys were called on a Friday night, to replace a dripping Isolation valve. Unfortunately my friend didn't know how basic and straight forward the job was and agreed to have the work carried out. PM247 charged £400 to change the isolation valve, in and out at 6pm and left the old valve in the sink.

Very ,very sad. I feel I have just been scammed by this company and its upset me .
Called the company for a blockage and quote was £120 for callout ,inspection and simple clearance. Man arrived and did the inspection . Very quickly he said what the problem was ( wet wipes had blocked the pipe). I was then put back in contact wit the office and the price was escalated to £950. They said it needed "specialist treatment and specialist equipment" . I was shocked to find it was such a difficult job to remove a wet wipe blockage.
I paid up. The plumber brought in the specialist equipment. It was a standard flexible drain flail. He quickly accessed the pipe via the flexi on the toilet and cleared the blockage . He then checked all was clear by turning on the bath taps and flushing the toilet a couple of times. That was it . He was not on the premises longer than 1.5 hrs and that included my time on the phone..
This appears to be modus operandi of this company, quote a reasonable price then quickly boost the price up by suggesting the job is difficult. There are many other plumbing companys in bristol and I for one will be using them in the future . You have been warned

Came at the right time with the £120 call out upfront which was great. Fixing a blocked toilet with the plunger and replaced the switch and sealed it up. Total bill £510. Beware these guys are scammers.

Such a rip off, absolutely disgusting amount of money charged for 10 minutes work £402 in addition to £120 call out. Engineer on site 30 mins total. Never ever use this disgusting company
