Console stopped working within a week


Console stopped working within a week of being given as a Christmas present to my young son. Needless to say he was very disappointed. Request for assistance from pocket games went completely unanswered. Extremely unprofessional business.

We’d like to clarify that we did respond to your enquiry with troubleshooting steps to help get the console working again, including guidance around charging, resetting the device, and checking the SD card. It’s possible our response may have been missed, but we certainly did not intend to leave you without support.

Issues like this are often related to power or SD card setup and can usually be resolved quickly with a few checks. If the console is still not working, we’re more than happy to continue assisting and find a proper solution for you.

All people need to report to ACCC

Ordered a gaming console from them for my Son's birthday. It came late but due to Christmas craziness, I let it pass.
Then the console only lasted a day, and would not work after the first charge. Contacted them a few times over the last 10 days and nothing, no reply, not even empty promises like other people received. I have a very upset little boy.

About to put a stop on the credit card payment and all people having issues should report to ACCC.

UPDATE: soon after I posted this, I was contacted by Pocketgames and we are in the process of repairing/replacing the machine. I will post an update once I have a solution.

Dishonest Sellers

Last year I bought a Miyoo from them and one of the games didn’t work. They told me they’d send a replacement SD card, but it never arrived. I assumed it was AusPost and let it go.

This year I bought two R36S consoles for myself and a friend. Both arrived with the games set to German instead of English. I contacted them and, at first, they were helpful and agreed to send two replacement SD cards. I specifically requested express shipping because I originally paid for express and it was meant to be a birthday gift for the weekend. They agreed, and even updated my order status to show express shipping.

Two business days later the parcel still hadn’t arrived, so I contacted AusPost to check the service level — they confirmed it had been sent via standard shipping, not express. When I told Pocket Games, they blamed it on “human error,” but it didn’t sit right with me. It felt like they assumed I wouldn’t check.

I did eventually receive the SD cards today, but I’m really unhappy with the dishonesty and the repeated issues. I won’t be shopping there again, and honestly, I don’t think others should either. Their pricing is inflated, their customer service is disappointing, and it’s concerning that they don’t even check that the consoles games are downloaded in English before shipping.

To clarify, when you contacted us regarding the SD card issue, our team responded promptly and arranged replacement SD cards for both units at no additional cost. We also provided a return shipping label at our expense to assist further if needed.

Regarding shipping, while we always aim to accommodate requests where possible, upgrades to express shipping are not guaranteed as part of replacement shipments. In this case, there was a processing error, which we acknowledged transparently at the time.

We’re glad to hear the replacement SD cards were successfully delivered and that the issue was ultimately resolved. We also take your feedback on board regarding system setup and will continue improving our quality checks.

Our goal is always to provide fair support and practical solutions for our customers, and we believe we acted in good faith to resolve this matter.

Parcel was delivered in an unsafe


Parcel was delivered in an unsafe location and I’m assuming stolen as it was not where it was apparently left. Paid for parcel/shipping insurance as well as through PayPal which did nothing as the seller didn’t care as they’d ’fulfilled their obligation’ which is bullshit. It’s only fulfilled when I get my parcel which they weren’t able to get to me. Rude & unhelpful. Never trusting this seller with my money

After this was raised, we worked directly with Australia Post who confirmed the parcel was successfully delivered and provided delivery confirmation, including photos showing where the item was left.

As the parcel was fulfilled and delivered by the courier, this outcome was also reviewed independently through PayPal, who assessed the case and ruled in our favour based on the delivery evidence provided.

We always aim to support our customers where possible, and in cases like this we rely on the courier’s investigation and confirmation. If there is ever a delivery concern, we’re more than happy to assist in lodging investigations and guiding customers through the process.

My experience with pocket games has


My experience with pocket games has been horrible because I have been a continuous player for awhile now and playing plus depositing money on the game and then I kindly asked for some bonus cash and I keep getting the runaround and I have requested numerous of without and have put money on the games
And it every time that I submit a withdrawal I’m subjected to a review and it seems fair to wait because when I deposit money on the game it gets my deposit immediately and there’s no review for me adding money but I’m subjected to a review to get my money that I have won and asked for a withdrawal I’m seriously considering to write a review about if this game gets my money I need to start reviewing the game before it gets my deposits just like the game when I deposit the game gets the money instantly and I feel like I want my money instantly as well

Product 5, PG team zero stars

Product is great - brings so much joy, memories, definitely worth the money, you will not regret it.

3 starts because the support team completely ignore your messages, SD card they send is so bad it was corrupted after 2h of use. Copy all the bioses and roms, buy proper SD card and instal proper system on this thing you will not regret it.

UPDATE: They replied 1h after I've reviewed their service... I think it would be better for them just to sit quiet, try better next time PG team ... zero stars

Didnt ship the product

Didnt ship the product, doesnt respond to emails. they keep saying it will be shipped, tracking isnt updated ever. Even when they say post has picked it up, tracking isnt updated. Are they lying?

We take claims like this very seriously, however we’ve been unable to locate any order under your name based on the details provided.

We do not mark orders as dispatched unless they have been physically handed over to the courier. In some cases, tracking updates can be delayed on the carrier’s end, but they do update once scanned into the network.

As this review is from 2024 and we have no record of this order, it’s possible there may have been a mix-up with another store or the order was placed under a different name or email.

These guys are honestly unbelievable! By far the best customer service. I was curious about these new retro handhelds. These guys were friendly, gave me the best advice and recommendations for these products. Honestly I can't explain how good this business is and have set a new standard for me. They are a small business but treated me like a friend. If Pocket Games see this, keep up the good work!

A local Aussie business specialising in retro handheld devices! (Fast/Good Customer Service/Decent Price)

I am a retro handheld enthusiast who was trying to buy a Powkiddy RGB30 5 days before leaving for a short work related trip. I tried many different stores but none of them could deliver within such a tight timeframe due to overseas warehouses and logistics. However one Aussie business pulled through and saved my bacon.

Pocketgames.com.au is a fantastic new business which sells retro handheld devices and accessories. The customer service is very prompt, knowledgeable and kind. Their expertise certainly helped me narrow down my choices and informed me on what options are available to me.

Their business is currently small but it is growing and getting better and better. Their website design is very good and user friendly. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed!
