Brilliant
Brilliant idea. Bought a pair of varifocals that went dark in the sun. The staff were so helpful went out of their way to make sure I was happy. So thank you to TR, Keesthi and Angela at Cheshire Oaks.
No customer service department or anyone to help
I love their frames but their customer service is terrible. Iâve twice contacted them through their website and received no reply. I emailed the address in the website and it bounced back as âaddress unknownâ, and the WhatsApp number on the website connected me to someone in the depot who said they couldnât help me. All I wanted was to buy a pair of their glasses! There is just nowhere to enter your prescription after youâve chosen your frame; it just takes you to the payment page. I now donât feel I can trust them, even if it were possible to buy their glasses, because there is no customer service so refunds or exchanges would be impossible to arrange. Gutted and frustrated.

Always very helpful, kind, and really takes time to go out his way to ensure a positive experience. For this reason its the one place I will always return to now anytime I need new glasses. Incredible you can get prescriptions so quickly, with excellent quality frames at such amazing value.

Love the choice
Love the choice of frames BUT Pop-specs need to be more accurate and transparent with pricing. Tinted lenses advertised as an extra £30. First, the graduated tints were not available in the colour I'd chosen (blue), then any blue lens was an extra £40. And it took far too long for the staff at Bluewater to make phone calls, checking on availability and price. Almost gave up.
Disappointed customer with no communication
I came in Leeds White Rose store Monday 1st June and order some varifocals and then came back in on Thursday 4th June to order another pair as I really liked them. In total £390 I have spent in the week. I can't get any update on when either pair of my glasses are ready. I have rung 3 times and 3 different answers. I came to store as I had such a good experience last year when I bought some. This year has a nightmare. I rang today and I am non the wiser. A very disappointed customer this time. I have still not received the email for either pair of glasses.

Both myself and my partner bought our glasses from pop specs. What would have cost me £600 at specsavers, cost me £300 at pop specs. I got mine a year ago. Because I need all sorts of extras, they needed to send my chosen specs off, but even that only took a couple days. My partner went today and the specs were ready in an hour. FANTASTIC

Visited Pop Specs Newcastle yesterday. Sheena and Dameer were super helpful. What great service. Got a pair of reading glasses and sunglasses. I am over the moon with them. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent and quick
Husbandâs glasses took just over 30 minutes at Merry Hill. It wasnât a standard prescription and it was a third of the price quoted by an opticians in the centre. Also done immediately instead of having to wait a week or so and then having to come back. I canât fault the service. Nicky was great, thank you. We will use again and highly recommend.

Visited the Derby Pop Specs. The choice of unusual glasses was amazing. Very helpful staff with no pressure to purchase. It was hard to choose! These were ready in 20 minutes and are perfect. I think they were good value for the sales service and to be able to have new prescription filled so promptly. I would recommend having a look
Waste of money
Spent £315 on varifocal transition lenses for holidays that did not transition. Delay in rectifying so did not have in time. Offered & accepted refund but only refunded £65 as price of transition. Total waste of money as measurements of varifocal all wrong so cannot wear.

Very poor quality
I was pleased to find glasses much cheaper than most opticians and happy with them at first. However after the arm just broke off suddenly with no drop ot knock to them I took them back to the Whiterose store in Leeds to get them fixed. Unfortunately they only guarantee them for 6 months and stated quite bluntly that we only expect them to last that long hence why we won't fix them after 6 months. My 2nd pair I got also has quite a loose arm but still held together but the quality is very poor and customer service none existant

I was going to document the full story but itâs just too long, so long story short the so called optician measured my eyes for lenses, when they arrived they were blurred, after 5 days I still canât see, I took them to my local optician to test them, they were fitted completely wrong, the pupil height, the range, amongst other issues were incorrect in my varifocals, also I saw the plastic coating on top of my left lense had peeled way, very cheap frames obviously. I was told my prescription must be wrong and they are made to that prescription.
So I messaged again to get a full refund as they we not fit for purpose. All they kept saying was repair, replace , I just wanted a refund as they were made so wrong in the first place.
I even had to bring up the law and my consumer rights to reject the glasses and get a full refund.
I took them back yesterday awaiting a long arguement about refund, no a word was said and the wiman whom I saw originally never made eye contact or spoke to me and had another lady deal with it. I got a refund thank fully.
I think this place would be good for single lenses but frames do feel crap, Iâm sure the ones I tried on are not the frame i received, but they got mine so wrong and they arenât that complex.
Also I was mislead by being told that they were Zeis lenses,, trust me they are not.
So just go in with your eyes wide open and donât believe the sales jargon

Going to email HQ as suggested in their reply... I'm sadly having to change my prior five star review. I have ordered and collected my first pair. Very happy with communication and speed. However, second order resulted in a long delay with no firm delivery date. Transpired that they'd lost their supplier. I received a refund. Then on visiting the kiosk I was told they'd solved the supply problem. So I reinstated the order, paying again. Aside from one WhatsApp reply saying they'd keep my updated... I'm now facing having paid for them on the 14th April 2026 and as of today 8th May 2026 my messaging and calls aren't being replied to or answered... No delivery update. No refund as I've asked. Assuming they've gone bust? Will have to drive there and find out. Huge shame that the people running the business seem to place huge onus on their kiosk staff to trade but not to give reliable information. Not impressed. I'm a full time carer so having to cover that person to ensure I can drive kinda irks...
