We are extremely pleased with the office refurbishment completed by Powerpillar Ltd. From the very first consultation to the final handover, their team delivered a professional, well-managed, and high-quality service that truly exceeded our expectations.

Our workspace has been completely transformed from a tired and outdated office into a modern, bright, and welcoming environment. The new layout, finishes, lighting, flooring, decoration, and attention to detail have created a space that our staff are genuinely proud to work in and our visitors immediately notice.

Powerpillar Ltd managed the entire project smoothly and efficiently. Their communication was clear, the workmanship was excellent, and every stage of the refurbishment was handled with care and professionalism. They worked hard to keep disruption to our business to a minimum while still delivering an outstanding finish.

What stood out most was their commitment to quality and their willingness to go the extra mile to achieve the best possible result. The finished office not only looks impressive but has also improved staff morale, productivity, and the overall experience for our clients and visitors.

We got in contact with Powerpillar in December 2024 from the Federation of Master Builders about the full renovation of our Victorian home in East London which included repointing brickwork, insulating, rewiring, replumbing and plastering. When Emmanuel attended a site visit to quote the works, he was punctual and friendly, giving the impression he was professional and experienced. He referred me to his website for a similar period property renovation, this combined with seemingly consistent positive reviews across his profiles reassured me he was capable of taking on the project.
Once the work started in March 2025, his “project management” skills and overall communication was shockingly poor. From the start, his workmen damaged original features (fireplaces, floorboards and skirting and furniture beyond repair) that we agreed would be retained, caused tension between our neighbors because of careless work and was very inconsiderate in regards to health and safety.
I have spent the last 6 months paying to have some of Powerpillar work redone as Emmanuel took no responsibility for fixing these issues. Many of these were very costly including completely repointing brickwork at the front of the house, reinstating window details and stitching brickwork, in addition the drainage was installed at the wrong fall and the drainage was pooling by the building foundation. Powerpillar left a soil pipe exposed underground which clogged up the plumbing and the plastering throughout the property was very inconsistent, rough in areas and bumpy with air bubbles that needed complete reskimming.
These are just a few of the countless issues we encountered with Powerpillar, the only real positives were the Electrician and plumber he subcontracted who were thankfully very professional throughout. His team of builders were friendly but the over quality of their work was poor, but in saying this, I recognise this may be due to Emmanuel trying to keep costs down by forcing them to carry out work instead of hiring someone more experienced.
In the end the work halted as the project continued to run over budget mainly due to poor management, Emmanuel originally quoted 12 weeks for the job and after 6 months there were still lots to complete.

For anyone who is considering hiring PowerPillar for their home renovation, I would sincerely recommend you find someone else who has a proven track record of renovating period properties and ask to visit a recently completed project of theirs. I discovered towards the end of the project that Powerpillar used fake reviews across their profiles and posted projects on their website and social media that they had absolutely no involvement in and when I questioned him, he blamed it on his digital media manager.

Once the purchase was complete, Powerpillar took full charge of the renovation — from structural repairs and rewiring to installing a modern kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, and full interior finishes. This guys did a fantastic job on our kitchen remodel. The craftsmanship was top-notch, and the team was friendly and respectful of our home. There were a couple of small hiccups along the way, but they were quickly addressed. We're thrilled with our new kitchen and would definitely work with them again.

Our home was fully damaged by rainwater from the roof as we were on holiday. We researched and reached out to various renovation and construction companies. The insurance suggested that we work with powerpiller because of their experience working with them previously. We had a leak and were scared it was the underfloor heating.
They fortunately found that the leak was coming from an adjacent bathroom and fixed everything in a couple of days.
They are professional, ho est, on time and nice people, will definitely use again and very happy to recommend them

Emmanuel , Valentino and team were fantastic. Right from the off, we were aware of the costs and timeframes. The job was done to high spec and on time over a 6 week period. Great follow up on the snagging. A delight to work with. 100pc focus on the job in hand.

POWERPILLAR charged £36 to give me a quotation.

They came round an hour late for the appointment.

Took 3 days after the appointment to send me a quote.

The quote was over 4 times the cost of the other two quotes I had for this work from companies that didn't charge for a quote. Average quote was £3250, POWERPILLAR's quote was over £12,000.

My advice to anybody considering paying for them to give you a quote:
Just get a quote from one of the many many companies that don't charge you for one. Then if your experience is bad as mine was with POWERPILLAR, at least you won't have paid £36 for it.

I was ok with paying £36 to inspect the work and provide a quotation. I chose Powerpillar because they are just 1/2 a mile from my property and had good review. After paying the fee and a few emails pleading with them them to attend the property, they finally sent someone to quote for replacing the bathroom flooring, one month later! Powerpillar quoted £1,272 against a second quote from an ace company quoting £725 (no quotation fee). Very disappointed. I did ask to have my quotation fee returned on the basis of my time wasted and a very uncompetitive quote which was 75% higher but I was refused.

Powerpillar have been a God send. They were available immediately and just did the work to a high standard. The process was very professional, smooth and quick from start to finish. Best thing was they turn up on time, no excuses for odd days off , no problems mentioned mid way of the job, any comments taken and actioned with no fuss. Highly recommend them. We had an ensuite fully refurbished. Definitely be using them again. Already have a quote for the cloak room refurbishment.

They came over and gave me a quote. Emmanuel and Claire were very polite and professional. No qualms from me.

Let me start by saying… Wow!! These guys really know how to manage their business professionally and make sure everything is handled with care from the very beginning. After noticing our house is really old and there lots of things to change and several attempts to patch it in the past, I decided it might be time to renovate the house entirely. Powerpillar team managed renovation project and made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. The entire job was within the budget and took only 6 weeks to. Although their pricing was not the cheapest I've been quoted, it was still a fair price and I would choose them again if I had to. Overall, I'm very pleased with our new renovated house and the experience I've had with Powerpillar Ltd.
