CDP Training gave me a hands-on experience with different scanning tools like SCA, SAST, DAST. Course videos laid out by segregating complex topic to small chunks, where the beginners like me can easily digest the topic. They followed REVISE, RELEARN, REVIEW concept in the training. That instilled the encouragement to explore more, it made me to finish the course successfully.

Having an online platform that provisions servers where you can run the commands directly in a real world scenario really helps to solidify what is being taught. The order in which the information is presented helps to build up that knowledge as you start using more and more complex commands and operations, and the level of detail makes it easy to skip through the parts that might be repeated, and have the information you need in the moment that something isn't working. The support team would respond quickly when I would report issues with the content, things like commands that didn't produce the expected results, or information that might not be following industry standard. I experienced a frustration during the exam where the environment reset itself, but the support staff was supportive in providing the resolution needed to get the environment up and running so I could complete the exam within the amount of time needed. The results came in within the 72 hours after the report was submitted and with the help of the notes taken during the labs, I was successful in getting my CDP, which should be an indication that this course is beneficial.

The course covered many topics which was good.

After the expiry of labs, access to lab commands should be given to students. I don't know why the access to commands was also revoked.

More practice sessions and scenarios should be introduced in the course so that students can get a better understanding of attacking comtainers concepts. I would say reduce few topics and introduce more practice sessions. For eg. Incident response and forensics can be removed and instead of that more scenarios on how to attack a container can be introduced.

The certification exam was so challenging that it was almost enjoyable to fail and try again! But fortunately, I didn't fail.
