This may be the strangest review ever written. I say this because I may not be shopping with PA nearly as much as I used to.
A little background on the author (myself). I am former USAF AMMO 461x0 (built, maintained, & stored munitions for the Air Force. I have been married 34 years (to the same woman) and have three children in college at the time. I earn deceit money working but am not above looking for a good deal... Oh, yeah my wife doesn't like guns like I do (she hates them).
With my background out of the way I can begin my review of PA. After finding PA online I was awestruck by their variety and would have loved to order my gun parts online (I build and seldom buy whole guns because I utilize what I consider to be the best for my builds. PA wasn't perfect because sometimes the part I wanted was out of stock and I had to wait until it came back in stock (That's what happens when they have the best prices and outstanding service). I don't have a lot of builds, but the ones that I've done with mostly PA parts usually get high praise by everyone except the "I only buy DD, Larue, Geissele, LMT, etc. Professionals that build appreciate the little touches I've put into my Frankenguns. From the FCD parts (A5 buffer extension, castle nut/end plate, Q safety, and mag release), to Geissele (Super 42, 3 gun flat trigger, charging handle, take down & pivot pins, BCG, & CHF 14.5 barrel), to BCM (upper & handguard), to Griffin (A2 lower and BUIS). The small things matter to me to the point that I changed out the front sight post to a tritium one and the cam pin on my BCG to a Lantac domed one. How did I get almost everything that I needed when my wife, who HATES guns and watches our charges like a hawk? PA's storefront in Houston, Texas... and cash(or in my case gift cards from HEB, Lowes, etc.) Groceries and home improvement is EXPENSIVE!
Imagine my dismay when I saved up my cash to buy an optic for my latest AR and being told that PA was no longer taking cash payments. PA, my go to supply line for my man hobby essentially cut me off. I don't understand why they chose to, but I can't and won't ever lie to say anything bad about Primary Arms. The guys at their store font in Houston were always professional, but also friends. I will visit for smaller purchases, but much less frequently, because local gun shops, like the one I just bought my Sig Romeo XT-PRO for $82 dollars more than I could have gotten it at PA for (that's almost a Unity Tactical AXON SL 7" Surefire Remote Switch when on sale at PA for the budget minded builders out there).
I was always pleased by the service, selection and prices at Primary Arms in all of my prior dealings, but my admiration of the company was enhanced further when today 4/17/2026 I got a call from their customer service responding to an email expressing my concerns about the cash payment situation. I didn't know that a company would respond to a customer that basically (tearfully) said goodbye, but PA's customer service did! PA is the best and I sincerely hope that they will reinstate their cash payment, but if they don't and you hesitate to utilize them for your needs / wants... you need your head checked.
