Avoid Pro Shrimp, they don’t answer the phone, it’s permanently off the hook! Yodel look like they roadside dumped the delivery. Yodel refused to investigate a complaint or locate the package, their photo was clearly not the correct address. Emailed Pro Shrimp, no response. Phoned Pro Shrimp several times - no response. This is a Cowboy Outfit that is not customer centric.
Pro Shrimp... Try providing a service that works instead of blocking complaints!

Order came really quickly. I was abit worried about how they would arrive as very delicate but Plants were extremely well packed will definitely order from again In the near future

The website is easy to use and very clear, and the items themselves came really well packed and quickly after posting (next day). The plants themselves were fresh and green, and I think they'll settle in well.

Paid for next day delivery, plants did not arrive for 3 days. When arrived were not in the original tropica boxes and were melting. Sent clear pictures (I had put it in the tank to stop it dying incase they wanted it returning). After photos no more replies.

Order 12kg of lava rock for aquascaping, on order I requested a variety of sizes, including a few large rocks.
Delivery through DHL e commerce, had to go to the depot as conflicting updates on the tracking, turns out Pro Shrimp had packed 12kg of rock in a single box with no other packaging material to cushion them in transit, unsurprisingly the box failed and the contents fell through the bottom when the courier went to put it on the van to deliver to me.

DHL had left the rocks on the floor until I arrived, a day later so there is no way to know if the several large rocks that were left were the entirety of the 12kg order (they couldn't weigh them) and what remained was certainly not the variety of rock sizes that I had ordered.

I have raised a support ticket, and tried to call them to discuss if this is their normal standard for packing a shipment, but their number suggests they will answer before ringing once and then advising no one is available and to go to the support portal or leave a voicemail.

Update - they have refunded me in full with no further chasing required. Thank you for promptly resolving this.

To Pro Shrimp -
1. please consider gravity and inertia when packaging heavy goods, and make sure the box and contents will survive transit.

2.Please at least be honest that your number is not going to be answered, or better yet, answer it.

I ordered quite a few plants from these guys. Delivery was quick and items well-packaged. Unfortunately, one plant was in pretty dire shape (perhaps just bad luck)

I messaged them and they were super helpful and refunded it straight away. You can't put a price on great customer service - thank you!

Ordered over 10 plants from them in December for a new tank. Paid extra for next day delivery and the plants arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Nearly a month later all the plants are thriving. Overall great service

Pro Shrimp's customer service is excellent. I have had two lots of expensive plants from.them.now and they have all arrived in great time, and great condition. Very impressed

I’ve ordered from Pro-Shrimp many times and they remain one of the best online aquarium retailers in the UK. Their prices are consistently competitive, and the range of dry goods is excellent, with everything from filtration and lighting to plant fertilisers and substrates.

Their XL aquarium plants are superb; always healthy, well-packed, and far larger than expected. Smaller stem plants can be a little hit-and-miss straight out of the box, but they’re very fairly priced and usually bounce back quickly once settled.

Delivery is fast, packaging is careful, and their “FIVE” discount code makes good deals even better. Overall, a highly reliable shop I keep returning to for both equipment and plants.

This is the first time I have ordered from Pro Shrimp. The whole process was so easy and the items I purchased were on at a great price. I could not believe how quickly the order arrived, and tracked by Yodel. It was packaged great!
I can only highly recommend Pro Shrimp through my own experience, and will def be ordering again.

Ordered 2 supposed foreground plants paid for quicker shipping so they wouldn't be in transit for long when arrived the stems were bent over nearly snapped hardly any leaves and definitely too big for foreground I tried putting them in the aquarium with root tabs fertilizer and CO2 but unfortunately they look awful nothing like the photo of what I ordered I did raise a ticket which 7 days later is still being processed shame as I took plants out ready for these arriving so now got a bare tank and no response from pro shrimp

I have made a few orders from Pro Shrimp in the past couple of years. Each time, they've delivered on time and the quality of the plants is good. I had one order recently arrive with damage from the courier (which seems to not be a very uncommon occurrence given other reviews), but they were responsive and reimbursed for the damaged items without a fuss.

Edit November 2025: downgrading my review to 2 stars as a second consecutive order arrived from this company in a damaged box. It was sent with a different courier, and the courier told us at the door that the box was in the damaged state when she picked it up that day. Something has clearly gone downhill with Pro Shrimp's packaging and handling.

Have been using for years, good prices, fast delivery and have always replied promptly to emails. Recently ordered a tank that arrived broken (courier’s fault) and they were really quick in replying and sending a replacement. My go-to site for my tanks!

As others have said, the phone was not answered when I tried numerous times to ring Pro Shrimp for urgent help upon receiving a shrimp with what I thought looked like fungus. So I emailed, and received one reply asking for photos (which I sent) but offering no advice about what to do, then, no response after that and my subsequent emails were ignored. The shrimp died, and I am still very worried about my existing colony that the new shrimp were introduced into. I wanted to support a local business, and have used Pro Shrimp before, but I won’t be shopping here again. I received a refund via PayPal but I still stand to potentially lose much more if my existing shrimp colony get sick.

I've ordered from Pro Shrimp a few times now, generally for plants, hardscape, and other planting materials.
The plants are usually very well sized and healthy and they have a wide selection. They are also cheaper than other online stores even though they are offering the same good brands (Tropica/Dennerle/Aquafleur etc). I did have a couple of plants I bought on sale which were unfortunately dead but since they were impulse bargain buys for under £2 I didn't expect much, plus it was during the cold weather in winter.

The wood has been a nice variety of shapes and sizes.

I had one issue with some rock where they sent much less than I'd paid for, but this was quickly refunded.

Customer service via email has always responded quickly and helpfully within 24 hours normally.

Overall, the items were good, except for some slate. It was extremely rusty and honestly looked like something I could have broken off from my garden pavement. I reached out to the company regarding this issue, but after 4 days, I still haven't received a response to my ticket.
