It's not until something goes wrong that a customer finds out how good or bad is a supplier. Purchased a 'renewed' set-top box/recorder from Chigwell, which stopped working properly after a day. I was given technical advice over the 'phone by Richard, and to be honest I was rather sceptical; but he knew what he was talking about. Still didn't fully fix the fault though. Chigwell were happy for me to return the item and refund my money. But I still needed a box. Charlie gave me his time to discuss my options and showed good product knowledge. As a result I've bought a different box from them, which was very promptly dispatched and I'm pleased to say works well. They might not sometimes be as cheap as Amazon for the same product, but what price good old fashioned customer service? I was prepared to pay a bit more and, based on this experience, would do so again, just for the peace of mind. Thank you Richard and Charlie - keep up the good work!

I called with a Sky problem and Richard gave me great advice with no charge. I will definitely go back to them when I need any hardware and would recommend this company to anybody. I wish all companies were like this!

I pre ordered the new Manhattan T4-r and it was dispatched on the day off release. It arrived safely with a note inside advising it shouldn’t be set up til the following Monday due to the new software. It was extremely easy to set up and it’s now in use

I’d been looking for this item online and their price was extremely favourable.

I bought a number of items from Chigwell Satellite relating to a Starlink installation I did. I experienced some teething issues, which Dan helped me resolve. Nothing was too much trouble for Dan; a consummate professional. So rarely do you come across true professionalism and laser-focused customer service. Disappointed to find the selling price of the
Manhattan T4-R 2TB Freeview Play 4K TV Recorder has increased from £229.99 to £288.99 overnight. I added to my basket last night and this morning checked with a neighbour if they could accept delivery, and then today, it's nearly £60 above RRP from Manhattan, and the explanation from Chigwell Satellite is that it's because they will have stock levels and are confident they can ship the product. There is a Wikipedia describing the practice of increasing prices when supply is limited.

I had a problem with a new Humax, called and spoke to the company. The guy said they would call back. Richard did call back and was very nice, told me if I had any more problems just give them a call and they seemed more than willing to help me out. Good service.

This company is run by a man called Richard. He offered me help with my tv recorder. He was so helpful that the call out charge should not be wasted. He does not normally come as far as Clacton, but he had a job in Colchester and said he would make the call out there. The man that turned fixed my aerial problem,he was very helpful. This company is the type of company that gives service to its customers, and goes at great length to save you money. Richard is a gentleman and I would recommend him with the upmost positivity. Exactly what we needed, and quick delivery. Our old Sky+HD box was failing, and we were able to order an identical (refurbished) replacement which arrived within 48 hours and immediately fixed the problems.

The screws to fix the dish to the bracket are black m6 screws the bracket has only a 4mm pilot holes so a drill and tap are required. There are only 5 m6 bolts for 3 joints in the bracket, 2 are required for each joint otherwise the dish will swivel.The bracket bolts have a square under the head the depth is more than 2 thicknesses of metal meaning that when the bolts are tight the joint is lose so you will need some alternative m6 bolts. After spending time and money on this dish it does work fine i would not recommend. I am pleased to say with this update that customer services have made a refund to cover the problems above and an apology and are checking there stock so this does not happen again.

Having used this company over many years via different platforms I decided to go direct and use the shop direct through there website. Easy to navigate and order.
Unfortunately there was a issue our end with the postage courriers.
I contacted Chigwell Satellite by email regarding the issue and was contacted immediately by Charlie and followed by a telephone call also.
To be honest Charlie could not of done enough for us helping to try and track our parcel and kept us informed every step of the way. Unfortunately the original parcel went astray and it was no hassel for Chigwell Satellite and quickly sent a replacement to us that was received in a
matter of days.
Great customer service, great equipment, fantastic company, and will certainly recommend ,

We finally finished with Sky satellite after 13 years of overpriced subscriptions and instead purchased a
New Humax HDR-1100S 2 TB Freesat HD TV Recorder.
Firstly we discussed the Humax directly with Chigwell satellite needing more info to ensure we were doing the right thing. They were extremely helpful then and still are, going above and beyond expectations.
To be honest we were astonished at their helpfulness.
Highly recommend this company and 5 stars just isn't enough.
Thanks to Richard, Daniel and Charlie and whoever else helps make this company the best.

I purchased a Sky+ box to replace the one I had. As expected it works very well, but what I liked the most was the very detailed instructions on what has to be done to connect the box, the TV to the remote control, etc.
Although I had a problem receiving a reply from the company regarding the use of the remote control, they have now explained to me why they took some time to reply.
I am happy with the product I ordered, and with the very clear instructions.

Chigwell installed starlink broadband at my property where we couldn’t get good internet.
Tidy installation. Everything discussed before started drilling any walls to make sure happy with locations.
Dan very polite engineer and knowledgeable. Helped setup account and talked through everything setting up.

I had problems with my Sky+ HD Box.
Sky refused to send an engineer out , quoting “ They no longer stocked Sky+ Boxes or their components “ therefore won’t repair them.
I phoned Richard at Chigwell Satellite who asked what the problem was, and identified it as being a faulty cable connection and not a box problem.
On a second occasion I had problems recording and watching sky programs.
Again Richard correctly identified this as a setup problem and talked me through the process over the phone , so saving me 2 call out charges.
I can’t recommend Chigwell Satellite highly enough, in particular Richard Adoor.

I live in France and Amazon would not deliver a satellite box…I read various reviews about Chigwell Satelite and decided to call them…I’m so glad I did because Daniel not only went through the different models and the advantages he put one in the post the same day…It arrived promptly and although it was a reconditioned model it looked brand new with all the necessary fittings and booklet…I can now watch U.K. television with all the advantages of recording etc..Thank you Daniel…. I thoroughly recommend this company to anyone…
