This company misrepresented the parts they sale . Said that the parts were inspected and in good working order. Referred to there parts a a1 used parts none of which is true were much more expensive as other online stores but would have been worth the extra expenses if what they said were true but was not the case the part I purchase was a rear end for a vehicle that had to be completely gone tru and reworked before it could be used. DO NOT BUY HERE
Quality Auto Parts (QAP) sold me a defective auto part (4WD Transfer Case - $945) which was installed by my mechanic (there was no way for the mechanic to test the part prior to installation). The part was defective - locked up. QAP did provide a replacement - however, my mechanic had to uninstall the bad transfer case, and then install the replacement part. Thus, I was in effect "double charged" for labor for installing a transfer case. QAP has refused to make good (or offer any compensation) for the excess labor charges (over $1,800.00) caused by their initially providing a defective part.
Also, the elapsed time between receiving the defective part by my mechanic and receipt of the replacement was some 24 days - leaving me without use of the vehicle for this extended period of time. As a show of good faith, I am not requesting compensation for loss of use of the vehicle for this extended time.
QAP has refused to offer ANY compensation for the extra labor charges, despite the fact that their website states that their parts "undergo rigorous quality testing before being dispatched", and they have admitted that the defective part "did not meet our usual standards". They have refused to make good on my excess and unexpected charges.
I bought a part from them that was not the correct part. They agreed to let me send it back. They also said they could send me the correct part. They attempted to send me another part. It was identical part number for the part.
I returned. It’s a very confusing situation with them. The lady and customer service tried to help. I would highly recommend to be careful with dealing with this company.
This is a very well worded scam, if you check other review sites I have not found anything positive about their online store. We bought a transmission and my husband including 2 different people with mechanic experience. The part came with a broken piece that made it harder for my husband to install. All that's said and done he took it up and down the block and it stopped making noise. In the warranty that was not apparent with the receipt we are required to pay for a tow AND a mechanic authorization on TOP of the thousands of dollars already spent to give us less than half of a refund. If anything at all as my husband is getting the run around from their quality assurance team for pictures of said broken part. DO NOT RECOMMEND
It was two weeks ago that I needed a part for my car, so I text the number and gave all my information concerning the car.which I was most grateful.The person gave a price that I could work with since I know nothing about cars. I put the order in Friday of the 28th and got it today the 3rd of March. If I'm needing something else I know who too contact. Ty
