Fantastic car. For my 9 year old. High quality components without being crazy expensive. Very robust, very fast. Lots of fun doing massive jumps. Battery lasts well. Etc. thanks radio-controlled

Good buying experience / Poor after-sales experience

Good buying experience - just received my Rlaarlo Omni Terminator within the stated delivery time.

Would be 5* but a couple of areas of feedback I'd offer is that there was no automated tracking details provided so I didn't know when it would arrive - Olly provided me the international tracking number when I requested this however I had to chase down this tracking company to provide the Royal Mail tracking when it arrived in the UK. It's important to me as I can ensure I am home to receive the delivery.

I also had issues when trying to place the order initially, using my credit card - for some odd reason, I couldn't place the order on my phone or tablet as website wouldn't flag the credit card verification screen. This worked on a desktop though!

All in, a good experience and I hope buy from you again in the future.

REVIEW UPDATE

Unfortunately after the positive buying experience which I posted above which is ofcourse still valid, I noticed a couple of issues with the car when I first used it - initially I reached out to the manufacturer directly as both problems are quality issues, they directed me back to Radio Controlled. Got in touch with RC with a photo and eventually a short vid of the problem and then I stopped getting a response. Pretty disappointing and feels obvious that interest in customer satisfaction post purchase is not a priority. They are relatively minor issues, however they are quality issues and matter to me.

Changed back to 4* overall as received a response in the end, but could easily be 5* if small improvements are made.

Thanks for the honest feedback. We aim to stock everything locally in the UK, but in your case we had to ship from our China warehouse. Unfortunately the tracking doesn't automatically connect to our system at the moment, but something we hope to fix soon. We hope you enjoy the Rlaarlo terminator!

Update response:
I have replied you your video you sent. Suspension is meant to sag by about 20%, so there are not defects with the product. ride height can be adjusted with the spring collar. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner... I was away!

Purchased a small trainer RC plane mid


Purchased a small trainer RC plane mid March which till only recently on finally assembling to fly I encountered an issue.
Possible transmitter fault.
Lovely plane but unable to fly.
All said and done Oli was a top guy and initially contacted the manufacturer to try and resolve but failing no response and request from myself to return he organised collection.
Within a matter of days I was fully, FULLY refunded.
Cannot fault his return policy and helpfulness in the matter.
Just one of those. Sometimes a product fails through no fault of the seller.
Top purchase and return.
Shame about the plane though.

Paid for 48h postage and 4 days later


Paid for 48h postage and 4 days later I'm still waiting, I contacted customer services (Oliver) who was no help at all as he just straight out lied to me stating it was despatched that day but I had confirmation that it was despatched 2 days prior, I confronted him about this just to be told "I wasn't in the office so I just assumed" which translates into "I wasn't in the office so I just lied to you" I asked for a refund for the postage costs to which I was told they won't refund it and that I had to goto royal mail for a refund, unfortunatly I can't do that as I didn't send the item they are the ones that have to claim a refund.

I don't know if this is a one man operation or just a shoddy company but I would AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

After leaving this review I recieved a phone call from Oliver, he explained he did not have the relevant information on have to tell me what I wanted to know so he told me it had been despatched that day as he assumed it was, I was then told it was not my fault I didn't know the definition of the word "lie" I was always under the assumption that to lie was to to say or write something that is not true in order to deceive someone, I was told something untrue and as he didn't have the relevant information at hand to confirm the information I was being given I would say it was in order to deceive.. maybe Cambridge dictionary needs to update its definitions.

In addition I do not feel it appropriate to use customers personal information to contact them in order to harass them about honest reviews I'm pretty sure that's against privacy law.

Again the exact words used were "it's not your fault you don't know the definition of the work lie" to me that's pretty open any shut.

I'm not going to engage in an argument on a review site over what was said as people reading didn't hear the conversation, but one thing is clear my personal information was used to harass and contact me over a review left online.

I would like to add that the 1* is not a reflection on the quality of the product or the company as a whole its just an honest opinion of my experience with customer service.

A lie no matter how unintentional is still a lie, and giving out information as true on an assumption without having the relevant data to confirm or draw conclusion from is a lie no matter whether the intension well meant or not.

This is the last time I will engage with you on this matter as I'm sure the reader can draw their own conclusions from this interaction.

Lastly I would advise not using customers personal information to contact them for issues not relating to an order.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for taking my call just now! For clarity, I called to appologise, and we do this for anyone who has had anything but an amazing experience with us. It was a civil conversation and no harrassement language was used. As per our terms and conditions we are allowed to contact customers with the contact details they provide in relation to their order.

You were given inaccurate information on web chat, in that the order was dispatched on time and not late as intially thought. This was a mistake, and not purposefully deceptive. (Any yes the word LIE does imply purpose of deception.)

We dispatched on time within a few hours on the ame day. This is still in process with Royal mail unfortunately, and I will chase them up on compensation and pass this on if successful.

Now that we have switched to royal mail ~99% of our deliveries arrive within 48 hours, as you can see from most of our reviews.

Edit: I never questioned your knowledge of the definition of a lie.... I just said we would never knowingly decieve anyone and a "lie" is something that is knowingly decieptful. Giving out inaccurate information (by mistake) is not knowingly decieptful and hence not a lie.

Terrible customer service - Avoid

Terrible customer service.
Ordered 2xhbx16889a Pro rc cars, each with 2 extra batteries. The cars arrived without the extra batteries and I emailed to ask and was told that the batteries were still clearing customs and would be sent out in few days. It would have been nice for a heads up.
There have been similar reviews where the response to this was along the lines of "we will now make sure that only current stock is listed so this doesn't happen again", lies. Oliver appears to respond to reviews with what "should" happen but doesn't actually happen.

My problem was with one of the cars. One was for me and one for my son for his birthday. I used mine and it was fine. Come the littles ones birthday and he opens his (around 1 -2 weeks after the order) and the car doesn't work as intended. I tried different transmitter, same problem. Different battery, same problem. I took the esc from the working one and hooked it up to the non working one and it worked. A faulty esc. I sent several emails and had to chase up each one for a response. I tried everything that was suggested, including sending pictures and I even sent a video demonstrating the problem. I was told "looks like it was working and then stopped". True it worked everytime I turned on the car for a few seconds. Every test was done outside and there I was essentially accused of using the car and breaking it with future emails being ignored.

In the end I had to order a new esc myself and fix it myself.

As soon as they have your money, customer service is almost non-existant.

I suggest if you are interested in buying rc cars or related items that you use a reputable company who also stock spares for what you are buying. This lot don't care at all and have been very unhelpful and slow to respond unless you send additional emails.

Horrible experience, save yourself hassle and just use a hobby company who are passionate about both the hobby and customer service.

In response to their reply...

I had already posted this review prior to recieving the phone call. On the phone call, I informed Oliver that I had paid for the part myself and fixed it myself despite feeling alienated from the company and did recieve an apology. It was me that mentioned having a refund for the ESC as I should not have had to pay for this myself, he offered only a discount on future purchases. I told him that was no good to me and he said he didnt think he would be able to offer a refund for the part when I told him the price. There has been a response to this review, but no cantact with me to actually discuss a refund. I'm as honest as they come and will continue to update this review, especially if Oliver actually sticks to what he put in his reply but I get the impression his reply was only meant to put other people at ease and not actually resolve my issue.

**EDIT**

Oliver got in touch and have said that they have issued a refund of £11.99+£5 for postage although this has yet to appear on my bank statement. Not sure where these figures came from but I guess the gesture is better than nothing, if it actually hits my bank.

The cheapest I could find a replacement ESC for was £25.99+postage in the uk (there is another that is £15+postage, however this is for the brushed version and I have the brushless). So by "customer has recieved a refund for the ESC" what they actually mean is that they have refunded HALF of what I spent to get something working that should have already been working in the first place. Whether this is "cost" for them I do not know, I know that I cannot find that ESC cheaper unless I order it from china and wait around 3 weeks for it which I should not have to do as I used a uk seller.

Disgusting that it actually takes a bad review for them to reach out to their customers who are having issues. They care about their image, not their customers. One of the things that Oliver actually said in the email was "ofcourse I care about customer service" as well as "its obvious that I care"....For me, it has not been obvious at all and if you are in the market for being put off of the RC hobby then these are your people to deal with.

I will update this review again, IF the money actually reaches my account. I have noticed them lying a few times in response to other peoples bad reviews.

Edit: Customer was refunded the price of a replacement ESC and postage, as priced by us. We would have replaced the whole unit and had the original returnedif we had gone through the whole process.... this is our standard practice.

Great Seller!!

I purchased a Rlaarlo rc car from here and it arrived sealed, in the original box. Delivery was on time. I would highly recommend.
I also purchased a car before this one that had to be returned and the seller responded quickly and took care of everything.
Olly is a top guy!

Amazing service and fantastic price

I was initially hesitant about purchasing a particular product due to its low price. However, the saying 'if it's too good to be true, it is' didn't apply in this case. Olly, the seller, reassured me of the product's genuineness and provided excellent communication even when the product was out of stock from the main supplier. We even spoke on the phone to discuss the delays, and I appreciated his efforts.

I am delighted with my purchase of the DJI Google 2 with RC2 motion control at such an amazing price. I would like to thank Olly for such an outstanding service.

I ordered an rc car and it said it was 48 hour uk delivery, but the next day they emailed me saying it will take 8 days, which was bad advertising.

Anything labeled as back order may take longer. There is an issue with the site where the 48 hour badge shows for everything evel on preorder and back order.Its an issue we are working on.

Little issue with shipping but they stayed in touch with me. Ordered the zd pirates 3. If you haven't seen one in person I gotta say it's gotta be the best rc car under three hundred dollars it's an impressive machine . This is my second one

Broke in 3 minutes

Broke in 3 minutes. Bought two and both broke on the same first run. Crappy plastic used and controls temperamental, wouldn’t recommend

In reply to the company response the company is fine it’s just the product. They have agreed to send out new parts which I really appreciate, however still doesn’t make
The actual product more reliable.

Anthony contacted us and we are in the process of getting the parts in to replace free of charge.
