I made a honest mistake when I made a review about this company. This company do not make nor sell hoodies. As a consumer I need to make it right by admitting I made a mistake with this company in the UK. I hope this follow up review make it right.

Great experience, the gents that came were lovely and very thorough. We would not have spotted alot that they had found on our own! Worth the money!
They accommodated our visit on short notice and the report was sent very swiftly, cannot recommend enough.

From the initial phone call with Darren to the snagging being completed the experience was excellent.

Once booked, we had constant contact from them to inform us on time of arrival and what was being carried out.

Our snagging expert, Michael, arrived at 8:30am and was there all day working. He was very informative and clearly knew his stuff. He was also very accommodating by explaining all of the issues and providing answers to my endless questions. He inspected every single inch of our new build home and found issues we never would have found. He was also able to pick out issues that could cause us problems later down the line.
Once the snagging was complete, Michael explained the main points and instructed us on what to do next and what to say when reporting issues found.

The snagging report was then sent to me via email which contained images of all issues, a brief explanation of what was wrong and the guidelines according to NHBC. This report was sent to me less than a week after the snagging survey took place.

We are so thankful we went with RaisingTheStandards for our snagging report. They were very fairly priced and included thermal imaging which most other competitors charge an additional fee for.

If you have a new build then I would highly recommend getting a snagging survey completed and use Raising the Standards LTD. Thank you again for all of the help and support, and making our moving in process so much easier by identifying all of the issues which we have now reported and even had some fixed already.

I had previously reviewed with a 1 star - which I have now deleted. This was due to cancelling the services as we lost the house. I requested a refund which I was told would be received in 3-5 days. This was not the case. RTS have looked in to it and advised this was an error on paypal's behalf. I do not think it is fair for me to score a low review for something out of their control. The positive response and outcome received from RTS is why I have amended and updated my review. I would like to be able to work with them in the future.

From the initial call with Darren, the survey/visit from Will and then the snagging report; everything has been excellent.

We moved into a new build and had a few concerns regarding the property, far from an expert I thought it prudent to get an independent snagging survey carried out so that we had a concise document evidencing any issues with the build, from that first call we an appointment booked within 4 days.

Will arrived to carry out the inspection and he was absolutely brilliant, he made us feel immediately at ease and helped out with any initial questions, he was extremely knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble.
He then initiated the survey and was very thorough, explaining each and every part of what he was doing and how this would transpire on the survey.

Once the report arrived it was a great relief to see the issues that we’d encountered documented, we can now use this report as an independent document to take to the developer/builder and regulating body. We’ve also had a few questions since the survey and Will has helped out without any fuss.

If you’ve moved into a new-build property and are considering getting a survey done then I would strongly suggest doing so and I would have no hesitancy in recommending Raising The Standards to anyone, they’ve done a brilliant job and it’s certainly worth every penny to get the survey done.

Had a snagging survey carried out in early April - on the day we were impressed with the knowledge of the surveyor and the points initially raised from the inspection, however the window screws and bottles of urine in the loft stories seem just that. The finished report would benefit from a better template to ensure a consistent response on all areas, and there was no need to identify positive techniques by the house builder (Bloor Homes) as that just caused delay when going through the report with the site management team. The biggest let down, which is linked to the better template approach is the fact that there was no mention of inspection or inability to inspect venting of soil stacks in our loft. This wasn’t mentioned on the day or cited in the survey. We’ve since suffered from 6 months of sewerage smells on and off, and a run around with trying to rectify with the site team which has ultimately led to the fact that both soil stacks were not vented or valved. The Surveyor says this will be improved in future survey to benefit others, but in our case as the loft insulation was covering the stacks it was not visible so they assumed they were capped. This should have been marked down on the survey that the developer needs to confirm what they have done i.e. capped, dergo or vent to atmosphere. This was particularly compounded by the fact a tile vent with flexi pipe was hanging from the roof with nothing attached to it - this now has the en suite soil stack connected to it, and the other stack has a dergo air admittance valve.

Joel came out to my new build property in Southport. He was very friendly and knowledgeable picking up on snags which I would never of seen or thought about. He explained them to me when asked and provided a very detailed report at the end of it for me. I will recommend Raising the Standards to the other home owners on my new estate.

I employed Raising the Standards back in April to do a snagging survey for my new property after they were recommended to me by a friend who had recently used their services themselves. Darren was excellent - really thorough and went through my house in detail. There were many things that he picked up on that I wouldn't have had the knowledge and experience to notice myself and also cosmetic issues that I wouldn't have necessarily had the confidence to pick up with my developer without the backing of Darren's thorough report. He was also really helpful and patient with explaining anything I didn't understand or required more detail about! Definitely worth the money and would absolutely use them again if I purchase another New Build property in the future!

Originally came across RTS's on Instagram, decided to book them as we had NO idea what to look for 'snag-wise' re: our new build + neither of us are builder/plumber/electrician types. SO GLAD we booked you RTS's; whilst you were complimentary about the quality/build of our new home - you found a number of snags we'd NEVER have come across/noticed. Developers have been provided with your in-depth report (incl. pics you took) & are on the case re: snag rectification as I type this review. HUGE thanks > DEFO recommend (RTS) to anyone completing on a new build!!!

RTS has made our home safe for us. They have called out issues of all sizes, explained patiently the consequences, and shared the possible solutions, which allowed us have efficient conversations with the builders. I have two dealings with RTS and both times were informative, educational and efficient. Our little girl's life has been saved by RTS (unsecured bedroom window). We cannot recommend them high enough.

We just bought a new build, and after having heard so many horror stories from our friends about the quality of their new builds, decided to hire a snagger.

Will was amazing. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and super knowledgeable about New Builds. Besides the snagging, he answered all of our questions snagging related or not and gave us helpful tips. Even though there were no "major" findings, we got a very comprehensive list of issues, which we would have not been able to spot ourselves.

We felt incredibly well looked after, and highly recommend them!

Absolutely brilliant!! We moved into our new build and gave it a once over thinking we had a keen eye, that was nothing on the thorough job Darren did, very friendly, easy to talk to, explained in detail everything he did(I was bored that day and asked a lot of questions) and in the end they produced a brilliant report that was easy to follow. Can't rate them enough and have recommended them to all our new neighbours. Fantastic service.

We booked RTS after purchasing our new build, it has given us such peace of mind and found a few tiny snags that can now be rectified! Bruce was brilliant from start to finish and took great care and detail, and also explained what he had found so we knew what we were looking at! Would 100% recommend for anyone purchasing a new build!

Excellent service & a great company.

My new build purchase completed in December and I gave a lot of consideration to whether I wanted a snagging company in. I’d had mixed reviews from friends overall in terms of engaging with a snagging company, some were of the opinion that you find snags anyway others saying it was worth the investment.

When I got the keys to my house, on the surface everything appeared fine, however when I’d spent a bit more time in the property, cleaning etc I started noticing issues. That’s when I decided to get RTS in based on a recommendation through Instagram.

This was the best move I made, they accommodated my timelines quickly and within a week I’d had my full report detailing everything. There were so many issues that I wouldn’t have even picked up on if I hadn’t got RTS in to do my snagging.

I was able to hand over the report to my builder and we’re currently working through the list.

Best move I made getting RTS in & I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Highly recommended if you’ve purchased a new build. Friendly, professional and helpful. Items were picked up that we, personally would never have seen/found. When paying so much for a new build it was an easy option for us to use an independent snagging company. Can’t thank them enough and giving us the confidence our new home is near on perfect

It has given me and my partner peace of mind when purchasing a new build property; knowing that we don’t have to worry about not identifying a defect and then having to pay the consequence in the short/long term. The inspection is worth every penny. We have received a detailed report with pictures to see where our snags are and this is also something we can refer back to as the work is being carried out by the builders. I would like to say a massive Thankyou to Darren who made sure that our report was written within 3 working days as we were pushed for time and only had 7 days to submit! Darren was professional and friendly and also followed COVID-19 guidelines. Scott, from raising the standards came out to the property last year during Covid.
His entire time onsite was highly professional and very thorough in his checks.
Afterward, his explanation on what remedial work needs doing and any good practices which were done by the house builder was shown to me and given a detailed explanation.
I can highly recommend this company for anyone who wants a snagging done on their property.
Note: the thermal imaging and drone footage was really good to see first hand and gave me peace of mind

Highly recommending rts!

I recently purchased my first new build property and I must admit I was slightly nervous about it as you read so many horror stories. I chose rts as the website was easy to use and I’m so glad I did..
I opted for the platinum package with drone report,thermograpic camera and backsnag service..the drone was amazing ,producing great results and the thermal camera highlighted several areas where I had heat loss that the builder had to fix.
The report arrived on time ,photographs and explanations,which I forwarded onto my builders.
They attended to my list and then I called rts back in to check..several items weren’t fixed to nhbc standard so builders came back again and put it right.
Rts made my experience with my builders a lot smoother than I expect it would have been and I felt supported and reassured in my dealings with the builders.
My house purchase is the biggest ever purchase I’m likely to make and I’m not a builder so I’m very glad I used professionals to identify defects
