I am absolutely delighted with the work RDK Civil Engineering Ltd. carried out on my recent property extension project. From the initial planning stages right through to final completion, their approach was nothing short of professional, transparent, and highly efficient.

I worked with Diven Vivek, Sasith Mahawaduge, and Isuri Maneka at RDK Civil Engineering as part of the architectural and structural drawings of my loft extension. All three were very professional and helpful throughout the project. First, the architectural drawing was quickly done within a tight deadline of 10 days for submission to the Merton Council. During this period we had back and forth conversations to refine the drawing. In addition the Heritage and Reasonable Exemption Statement were also prepared alongside the drawing. Once the documents were submitted, Merton council approved my submission in less than six weeks without any comments. During the six weeks, RDK also helped me with the structural drawings. Due to the retain of a working fireplace in my house, fireplace stack in the loft needs to be kept, and hence a more innovative solution was required to place steel beams in the loft to support the roof, to avoid the fireplace stack, and to maximise our space all at the same time. I was very happy with the final solution, and would like to strongly recommend RDK to their future customers.

The company were responsive and efficient. Their costs were competitive. What let them down for me is they wouldn’t send more than one paper copy with a small font without incurring an extra charge. My builder works from paper and couldn’t read the plan in their format

We worked with the RDK team for our rear extension. They incorporated our design requests and helped throughout the process of obtaining the planning permission.

RDK prepared my Planning and Engineering drawings as well as a comprehensive Building Control pack of information. I was pleased with the final submission of these documents and all communications from RDK were polite and helpful.
