Mouldy Product and Process-Driven âCustomer Serviceâ
Bought organic peanuts from RealFoodSource and found visible mould in the bag after roasting. Reported it immediately, but instead of simply owning the problem and resolving it, I was directed back to their website to navigate a returns process myself. Unfortunately, by then the peanuts had already been disposed of as unfit for human consumption.
Too many businesses now seem to treat âcustomer serviceâ as directing customers into systems and procedures rather than actually providing service. It may streamline things for the business, but it doesnât make for a pleasant customer experience when reporting a genuine quality issue.
Also rather odd that they appear to have separate Trustpilot accounts for the .com and .co.uk versions of the business.
