This is not a paid review. this is what happened to me and you could be the next.
Just like many others have pointed out—RecruitDirectLtd.co.uk is an outright scam! They run a fake recruitment scheme, offering non-existent jobs through fraudulent interviews and misleading job postings. Melanie Hart and her so-called team prey on desperate job seekers, particularly fresh graduates looking to start their careers.

How Their Scam Works:
Fake Job Listings – They post seemingly attractive job openings on various platforms, luring in unsuspecting candidates.
Deceptive Interviews – They conduct fake interviews, making candidates believe they have secured a role.
Mandatory Paid Course – Once “hired,” they claim that candidates must complete a compulsory paid training course (which is often worthless) before starting. This is where they steal your money.
Vanishing Act – After taking your money, they either stop responding or keep making excuses, never actually placing you in a job.
Warning Signs:
If a recruiter asks for money upfront for training, certification, or any other reason—it's a scam.
If the company’s website looks poorly made, lacks a proper business address, or has no real testimonials, stay away.
If the job offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
What You Should Do:
✅ Do NOT pay them a single penny.
✅ Report their website to online authorities (Action Fraud, Trading Standards, and job portals where they advertise).
✅ Warn others by leaving reviews on job forums and scam report websites.
✅ Trust only legitimate recruitment agencies with proper accreditation and verifiable track records.

Hi, I request, do NOT trust this company, its complete fraud and a scam.

I had a received an interview from this company and it was conducted over the phone, the interview seemed professional. However, the lady I spoke to mentioned that I should take up a course known as the IAC(investment advisor certificate) certificate which costed around £1000, and only then they could further my application.

After applying for the course, I was unable to contact the lady again, she was completely unavailable. I do not know what this companies intentions are, but they are not reliable, and anyone that applies would be wasting there time and money. They take advantage of new graduates.

I highly suggest when anyone applies for jobs in new companies, one should check the company reviews on trust pilot to make sure and be aware.

The website is easy to use, and the job search function is great. I quickly found a risk manager position that matched my skills. A wonderful experience overall!

I’m giving two stars because the process was quite slow, but overall, it wasn’t a bad experience.They have good staff who are willing to help, but it just took longer than I anticipated. I did find a job through them eventually, so I would still recommend them to others.

This company will be reported and there will be an investigation into the people operating this company. It is against the law to scam people

SCAM!!! Like everyone said they’re a scam. Fake interview fake job site fake course. They prey on innocent desperate graduates trying to kick start their career. Awful beings. Report their website to online authorities

Honestly have the same exact experience as everyone else here. I dont think i applied to them, they contact me by email, the positions they asked required the two courses which only “3 providers are licensed to do” which is very suspicious if this is something commonly needed for finance jobs. Read other job descriptions online for same/similar job and experience and none of those require that. I would recommend you look elsewhere or apply to a reputable company. This company is also very very new which is a large risk factor and possible scam

Be cautious, and dont be their next victim. They ask you to buy a course of your relevant field or potential job they offered, in promise to get you a job in return.

So about a week ago, I got an e-mail from Recruit Direct LTD saying they were 'pleased to inform' that they have 'received my application for a position within the finance and investment sector'. They then talked about a telephone-conducted assessment (which already sounded fishy) and got me to look at the desired roles. After looking at the roles and deciding which one I preferred, they directed me to a CIFA Level 4 course which cost £1,119 in total. This was a huge red flag, as they mentioned that my application could not continue until I had enrolled in the course. I'm pretty confident that this is a scam.

Honestly, it's a scam! They said "oh the company's not going to consider you if you don't register for this course, this specific course" something like that, won't let my cv through if I'm not at least register their course. idk about y'all but it sounds suss to me, I talked to my friends working as IB they all said it's a scam so idk but you but I'll watch out for companies like this saying they have your best interest as recruiter advisors when in reality they're just trying to sell you an online course. (if the company already is sponsoring the exams and such, usually they'll sponsor everything, according to my senior IB friends in London), just saying.

Highly suspicious. Wanted me to buy a course from cifa and the woman said she had to call her "advisor" to see where I could buy a course that covered FCA/PRA despite the fact that almost everyone seems to have been directed to it. Avoid!!

Scam.

Firstly, I never sent them my CV. They found my CV online and sent me an email saying “Dear Candidate, I am pleased to inform you that we have received your application for a position…”.

They will interview you and say your CV will be better if you had a certain qualification (e.g level 4 certificate in finance or other FCA/PRA/AML certificates). They will direct you to a website (cifa.ac) that sells the course and emphasise that they can't continue with your application if you are not working towards the 'mandatory' qualification.

The have added legit jobs on their website (recruitdirectltd .co.uk) from well known banks to make themselves look genuine but the other jobs advertised will want you to have these certificates. They are targeting recent graduates who are naive enough to spend hundreds of pounds on a course.

They are registered as dissolved on Companies House and you can't find any of their employees/recruiters on LinkedIn.
