Avoid this platform as they are a mouthpiece of a religion that prays on Friday's ( can mention it's name as I could with any other religion as Trustpilot will block the review, quite incredible how they have infiltrated the mainstream). You are not allowed to say anything negative about them or will be banned as I was. So much for free speech with Reddit.

I had my computer repair remove "Norton", I was always getting "commericals for more Norton services". I had him remove all Norton elements on computer.

I go to download Malwarebytes and Norton "pops up" and states "this is an unsafe site". The only thing we can figure out, Norton will embed itself inside and come out when something occurs. no response from norton, nada. Interesting, Very scarry, Norton is part of l984. I would stay away from them

The platform itself is great, with a variety of subreddits for discussion on basically anything. However, customer service is very lacking. My account was wrongly permanently banned, and the appeal response acknowledged they made an error, and the ban revoked and the content they say was in violation, restored. The content is back, but the service still says I'm banned, and the support team has failed to respond the last 3 months.

The sites only purpose is to reinforce the standard propaganda. If you speak outside the narrative their ai will ban you.
Also, most of the users are ai. I would ask questions to test if people were human and about 1 in 100 would pass. The site is literally just there to help brainwash people.

Horrible, do not use it. It is a worlds scum collected in one place. They have communities and admins can ban you from community when you say something they don't like or it is not something they preach. They act like a cult. Also apps mods react only to men reporting a problem, me they ignored even tho I send them a screenshot of a rape threat! So misogynist creators, and scum users!

Reddit is great-if you are just lurking or trying to get information about something. For me, I have tried to post things in certain Reddit groups and the moderators took down every post I made. Why? Because they said I didn't have enough Karma. FYI, I never made ugly posts or said anything negative about others.
I am over 60, and I suppose most Redditers are much younger. All I wanted to do was actually connect with like minded folks. I don't care about age. I try to keep up with current events. After I complained to a moderator, they wrote back and said that I should build up my Karma by taking pictures of my neighbors dogs! They said that I should say outrageous things in order to get "likes". I give plenty of "likes" to other comments.
Wondering if I should join Discord. It can't be any worse than Reddit.

Reddit has been overtaken by Russian troll farms, and is turning into a left-wing echo chamber. Seems like organized and coordinated disinformation is exactly what the company is aiming for and what is keeping the platform alive these days — since nobody does anything about it.

Furthermore, their automated moderation is a joke. Malicious reporting is never looked at by humans, for example.

I have seen genocide denial, rape threats, glorification of Murder (for example Charlie Kirk) and antisemitism get posted regularly by the same people in the same subs — with no consequences. Counter any of it with rational facts, and coordinated reporting gets you banned by a bot. If you post anything critical about Putin or Maduro? Same shit; you’re out.

Kann man voll vergessen, nicht wegen der Plattform selbst, die wäre von der idee her super.
Allerdings musste ich die Erfahrung machen, dass lauter respektlose, anstandslose Nutzer unterwegs sind, die nichts zum eigenen Beitrag beitragen (helfen).
Stattdessen darf man sich von anderen Nutzern sofort beleidigen lassen, oder bekommt Kommentare weit unter der Gürtellinie.

I've been a member for a couple of month's and generally it's been enjoyable until two days ago when I commented on a post about a really high walkway in China which had a photograph and asking if people would go up it.

I jokingly commented no way,no absolutely not and if you try and pull me then people will find your grave six months from now.

Apparently their robots don't like this and I'm on a three day ban with one day gone for breaking rule 1.

Subsequently i've now deleted my account and reddit can kiss my posterior.

Für alles andere ist es ein Hort von linsradikalen Ideoligien und alle die auch nur Ansatzweise etwas nicht Links-Liberal akzeptiertes postet, wird man zugespammt und/oder gebannt.

Bin durch Zufall dahin gekommen, wegen amerikanischer Fragen, bzw über amerikanische Airlines. Hatte ca 2 Wochen viel Spaß und auch Antwort zu Fragen über Leben in Deutschland gegeben. Abgesehen davon, dass alle billig alles haben wollen ohne Eigeninitiative. Heute bekomme ich eine Nachricht von Reddit, ich soll gefälligst nicht auf deutsch schreiben???? Habe von Anfang an Deutsch geschrieben und keinen einzigen englischen Text gesehen… hab mich abgemeldet, da ich weder gegen ältere Menschen noch gegen sonstwen bin, der mir nichts tut.
Da erlauben sich Leute Urteile, die das deutsche Leben nicht kennen, für die die Autobahn zum rasen da ist (darum ging es auch)

Sent mod mail asking why I was being unfairly targeted.
Got unfairly temp banned by Reddit because of false report from mods.

Subreddit was toxic and was breaking Reddit rules, I am not allowed to report the subreddit for breaking the rules. Im the only one that gets punished and i did nothing wrong.

Lo schifo più schifoso del web lo trovi su Reddit.com, ma non per colpa degli utenti, bensì per colpa dei moderatori che sono in molti casi dei veri e propri bimbiminkia.
Lo intuisci da come gestiscono i sub e ti levano ogni dubbio se ti capita di interagire direttamente con loro.
Bisogna usarlo allo quando ti serve e senza iscriversi. Oltre ai loro "form" generici che si focalizzano solo su alcuni argomenti, non esiste un modo per contattare qualcuno veramente responsabile o un ufficio relazioni con il pibblico. Ce l'hanno tutti i big.

Reddit is run by moderators (people who police Reddit for free) and if they don’t like what you have said they will ban you permanently.

Everyone on Reddit only has 1 opinion and if you post anything they don’t like they will ban you. I thought free speech was allowed.
