WON'T BE RETURNING!!!

Called into the red lion in Salisbury yesterday the 14th February 2026 around midday for a drink before returning to Bournemouth. We came in here last summer a couple of times because I find the building quite beautiful.
Yesterday however the beautiful building was put into the shade as the individual they had at the reception desk was more interested in talking to his friends, briefly acknowledging my husband and I for less than a second... no welcoming smile or professional demeanour whatsoever, and the woman who was at the desk in the lounge area shared the same qualities... zero hospitality skills at any level. We got ourselves a menu but as our welcome was nothing but rude, we left the menus on the table and walked out
I wouldn't have either of them representing my establishment and won't be returning!!!

Megan was very helpful

Megan from the Red Lion pub in cosham, High Street was very, very helpful. Usually you have to order your meal at the bar. But I asked her if she would come over to serve me, because I walk with a walking stick and wear a special helmet due to me having terminal brain cancer. She did this with no problem. And was very accommodating, so thank you very much, Megan. And I hope you see this or this or this feedback gets back to you

Awful experience

Booked a superior room for a long weekend. On check in there was a mix up over breakfast, hotel staff seemed unable to resolve and It took me calling customer services thanks Adam . Hotel staff use whatsapp to contact guest so no personal touch.Our room was not at all as advertised. very tired and noisy. Paint peeling off walls, chipped paintwork, holes in ceiling. Shower room towels thin and worn, one stained. Toiletries bolted to wall.
Breakfast was poor in choice and quality, Coffee dispensed from urn Not 4*.There were 3 wedding parties during our stay which made the outside space unusable.Extremely noisy and we had to contact the hotel at 12.45 am to ask them to move guests partying outside our room.No immediate response to the whatsapp so I had to make a phone call, not ideal . It was expensive and staff disinterested.

Go careful

Hotel was lovely, clean and tidy. Staff excellent. However, kept our visa on file as per normal but then took $250 for no reason. I have now written to Sonista and directly to the Buena Vista Red Lion hotel and telephoned from England and still no refund. V

We made our reservation a month in


We made our reservation a month in advance.. Got at Redding, Ca, went to our room it was not ready,. Went to receptionist who was not very helpful but gave us another room. We tried to take a shower but the water never not hot. ran it for over 5 minutes and still nothing. we will never book Red Lion again. What a waste of our
money. For breckfast the only thing hot was the waffles because we made them ourselves.

RUN
.

RUN while you can. The hotel uses a site called Guest Reservations which is horrid. Customer service is nonexistent at best. If I could give them -5 stars I would! They turned what seemed to be a good rate into a $200 a night stay by the time they add their fees. You find out in your emailed reservations that they will not issue any refunds. Fraudulent business practices and no customer service. I will take my business elsewhere from here on out.

Never will stay again!!

Well, we stayed at the Red Lion Hotel at 5150 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee, Florida 34746. The dates that we stayed were April 22 to the 25th. The stay was horrible. The room we first went into the vent in the bathroom, was leaking water, and the bathroom was flooded completely, and maintenance came to fix it, and we were told by Iris that works at front desk, that was one of the rooms that was affected by the hurricane. The assistant manager, Chad, as well as the general manager don’t give a crap about anything regarding helping any of their guest with their issues. We also ended up getting flea bites inside the room, and I also had one of the fleas which was dead, and brought it to someone in the front desk, and they dismiss the fact to not even tell the manager that I went, and showed them the dead flea. We both ended up getting bites, and I also even showed assistant manager, Chad, the pictures, and he dismissed. It said it was not from his hotel, but yet we only went to that hotel, when we arrived in Kissimmee. We paid $297.37, as well as $111.23 for an extra nite, because we had to be seen in celebration hospital, and didn’t wanna go home with both of us having that issue. I have been messaging the manager back-and-forth and Booking.com, and all he has been telling me or just basically one words like he does not care at all. I also contacted someone that I know it’s spectrum 13, and they are going to be put on blast about my situation.

Excellent pub but shame about dome people who don’t appreciate it.

I have been here twice this week, lovely pub, lovely staff, great beers and food.
Shame about a very noisy group of inebriated girls who think that screaming, shrieking and shouting in a restaurant is a clever thing to do.
I will be back but this made for s very poor experience.

I've had better stays at Motel 6

I've had better stays at Motel 6! This place is the worst. Checking in the front desk argued that I did not have a reservation, then when he found it hesitated to accept my retired ID card for military discount. Red Lion does not respect the years I have given this country? Fine but don't advertise a "military discount." Big sign on desk says quiet hours are from 9PM-9AM. Kids would not stop screaming and running up and down the hallways so I called the front desk and asked if they would politely remind occupants others are trying to sleep. He said, "my clock says 8:59Pm so it's your problem." I asked for a manager and of course they never called back. Also the tub was broken but no calls returned to schedule a repair or exchange room.

SUCH THIEVES......

So, I booked a reservation on line and paid for the room in advance. The reservation was made for my wife and my daughter. When they arrived at the hotel they were told that the need to have the Credit Card that was used to make the reservation (keep in mind, they already took the money). They were denied the room, ended up sleeping in the hallway of the airport so they would not miss the flight and I am sure someone else ended up with room that I paid for. To add insult to injury Mr. Patel the manager has refused to return the call and front desk clerk (Ms, Keonna) who was extremely rude continuously talked over me. Did not offer any solutions whatsoever. At no time during the booking process was there any mention of the cardholder needing to be present. I didn't need to be present for them to steal my money..... such thieves!!!!!The front desk person was defensive, combative and her demeanor did not represent customer service on any level. It is just inhumane to deal with company and their staff whose mindset is to rip you off.

GM seems to care

UPDATE: Mr. Sung Park called me today (3-19-2020), he was apologetic about the situation and how it was handled; he called Priceline and coordinated a refund for the three nights we were not at the hotel. My friend said the room was outdated, but sufficient, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was typical cereal, bread options, etc. While I would still not return, I am happy the GM made it right. He seems to care about guest experiences!

Paraphrased Original 1 star review: My friend and I were in Seattle last week, but as we were traveling the COVID-19 situation exploded, with the Seattle area being a high risk and hard hit area. My friend had stayed 1 night, as his flight came in earlier than mine. When I arrived, I spoke with the front desk agent (I think it was Koko, but not 100%) and explained that we were having to cut out stay short. She said no problem, we understand. I said we prepaid on Priceline, so I know we need to co-ordinate the refund for the other 3 nights and confirmed the hotel would authorize it; again she told me it was no problem, what were they to do, they couldn't "make you stay". This was about 6:30 am on Friday 03-13-2020. When we FINALLY got through to Priceline, we were told Priceline had reached out to the hotel, and the manager, Danielle, said they can't help us. Called and left a message for the GM Sung. Danielle called me, stated they would refund 2 nights; she couldn't contact Priceline on behalf of guests.

Shady financial practices

Stayed at a new Red Lion boutique brand “Hotel RL” in Brooklyn.

After I had checked out and paid cash they then re-charged me another $96.00 for a “resort fee” I’d already paid for as part of the entire bill for my stay.

I had already checked out - you should not be retaining my card information. You should not be re-opening a reservation under my name and card to add further charges to it. When I check out with staff approval that is when my card and account should not be in the system. It does not matter that you reverse the charges I still I have to wait 7-10 business days to receive my own money back for YOUR mistake. If you take customers financial information you need to handle it is an accurate and mistake-free manner as well as expediting refunds for your own errors.

Disgraceful

I frequently stay at the Red Lion Hotel in Billings Montana. I like the old Charm and I loved staying in the tower. My most recent trip unfortunately left me wondering if I will ever stay there again.  We checked in to the Red Lion Hotel in Billings Montana on October 9th 2019 it was rather late and there was a customer in the lobby that had a discrepancy with the front desk it was none of my business but security was called and later the police showed up. I just wanted to check in to my room where it was quiet. I was very excited because we had paid $70 through Priceline and we were given a room in the tower our room was on the 5th floor directly in front of elevator. I love the windows in the rooms and looking out over the city. When we came into the room I noticed the ceiling was exposed and there was a huge hole. Possibly from a leak like the damage that was covered in plastic on the top floor I noticed as we walked in. I didn't want to cause any trouble, it was late and I was afraid we may not be able to stay in the tower if we switched rooms. The next morning I did my makeup and was trying on new cover up. I don't believe the towels and hand towel had gotten much on them but unlike other hotels that provide a black washcloth for makeup I had no choice but to use the white ones. Two days later I realize that my card has been charged twice $77 + $70. We called to find out that there were stains on two bath towels and two wash cloths that supposedly could not be removed.  I was charged $20 for each bathtowel and $15 for each washrag. I am not as polite as my boyfriend when I'm upset so I had him call the hotel.  He remained calm and collected throught the entire call and he was still hung up on when he asked to either be sent the towels or have proof that the towels were indeed stained. I am furious because towels are the least of that room's problem I should not be charged for the towels and in fact should have been refunded for the room. No guest should be staying in a room where the ceiling tiles have been removed with pipes, fans, running motors, and dirt and grime exposed. It is sad to find that a hotel that I have stayed almost every time I come to Billings cares more about its towels than the comfort and service to their guest. The room was unsuitable for any guest.. May I suggest a black washcloth for future guest. $70 is outrageous for two towels and two washcloths when the hotel can't even fix the roof or a ceiling in the room.

RED LION PERRIS CALIF. WARNING BED BUG INFESTATION.

Booked red lion in perris calif. Dont go.. big time bed bug infestation. Got video. They would not refund.. expieda wouldn't refund. WARNING BED BUG INFESTATION. Very sad and red lion got no balls. Can not take care of customer. Same with Expedia. Shame shame red lion. Perris hotel is a joke.
