I was the subject of an APP scam from a Social Housing company. Refundee gathered the information they needed for the case and went about their business. Overcame every hurdle and got the job done. Had a full refund in relatively quick time when my bank had initially rejected my claim.

Without using Refundee I really don’t think HSBC would have refunded my money that I lost in a fraud scheme. They were brilliant. They explained every stage clearly and professionally. Hopefully I’ll never have to use them again but if I do I’ll have no hesitation.

2 years ago, I have been victim of a scam, and nearly lost 40k£ during the process to buy a property.

They have been so understanding, listening and always available to answer my questions during this very difficult time.

Within 6 months, we could get a positive answer from FOS to get full refund from both banks + 8% and we won the appeals which has confirmed the decision.

This is an amazing outcome, and I couldn’t obtain this without their guidance.

Refundee were open about how they could help and what was achievable from the get-go. I discovered them on instagram ads which was hugely beneficial for me to stumble across because I had no idea companies like this existed out there who could help get some of your money back from a scam!

I had to give them lots and lots of data, documents, screenshots and transcripts initially to start them off, and the Financial ombudsman requested that I report the incident to the various banks, companies and platforms involved to get the evidence together for a case, and to prove that I have tried every avenue available to me. This was very time consuming but of course it makes sense so that all evidence could be analysed to come to a lawfully correct outcome and so that I could get some justice fairly.

Refundee were pushy at times to get information but again they had to be to make sure I found the time in the busyness of life to provide the evidence needed. After that ordeal they gave me updates whenever they got new information from the ombudsmen or banks and about any progress on the case.

They were professional, highly informative in their emails so it left no room for confusion about next steps. They were incredibly helpful if I had any questions or concerns and would get back to me promptly.

All in all a fantastic experience with Refundee and I genuinely believe their fees for my claim of 25% +VAT were very reasonable as without them I wouldn't have had the time or know how to get any money back by going through the Financial ombudsmen myself! So essentially although it took a fair bit of time to compile the evidence etc, it was SO worth it in the end because getting anything back at all was a plus compared to getting nothing back without them. I eventually got 50% of my money back that was sent to the scammer from the bank in question, plus 8% interest per annum since the transaction date, and then had to pay 25% to Refundee +20% VAT on the amount I paid Refundee. Which ended up in paying exactly 30% of the full refund including interest to Refundee, and therefore keeping 70% for myself. Again, that's 70% more than I would have attempted to/been able to retrieve on my own. So I am very very happy!

Total refund claiming process was a breeze. I never imagined I would get a single penny from being scammed. I would recommend Refundee to anyone

After being scammed, I was cautious about using a recovery service. My first thought was is this going to be another scam?

To their credit, Refundee never pressured me. They were calm, professional and reassuring, which gave me space to do my own due diligence before deciding to proceed.

Once I went ahead, I uploaded all the evidence to their secure portal incl. WhatsApp messages, screenshots, emails, bank statements… and I explained in detail what had happened. Retelling the experience was more emotional than I expected. With time, you see things differently and it brings a lot back.

Refundee asked the right questions and clearly explained each step of the process. It wasn’t quick, it took around a year.

Last week the Financial Ombudsman Service made their decision and recommendation. Shortly after, the money landed in my bank account. I honestly had almost written it off, especially as the original incident happened four years ago.

Recovering 50% of my losses plus the interest has made a huge difference. I’m so pleased I decided to pursue it.

We found refundee very helpful. We didn’t have a clue how to go about getting back the money we had lost. Refundee explained clearly what they could so and the cost. They weee successful in obtaining a refund of our money lost form the back
