Canon 400mm f2.8 mk2 repair
Lens is working as well as before. It took longer than expected to be repaired and there were problems with paying (I rec'd a bill for the shipping but nothing for the repair). Not having the return shipping in the repair bill meant that it wasn't paid by the insurer.

Regarding the billing, it sounds like there may have been some confusion between the service report or estimate and the final invoice. The service report, which you received, does explain that despatch costs are not included and should be added if return shipping is required — this is noted in the email it was attached to. We're sorry for any inconvenience this caused with your insurer.

Second time using Fixation
Second time I’ve used fixation and the work they did is outstanding. Nikon D500 dragged from car seat , lens ring and chamber smashed , front and back cover badly cracked
Came back like new again , even all the rubber grips replaced , strap rings and covers , sensor cleaned and calibrated

An excellent and quick service.
I came up from Cornwall in order to get my camera checked for dirt on the sensor. The knowledge and thoroughness of the staff member who dealt with me was impressive. In the time it took to go for lunch the camera was cleaned and it cost far less than expected.

Good service but needed to chase
After regaining confidence in Fixations customer Service recently, I decided to give them another go with some heavyweight repairs. I knew I saw away for a couple of weeks in March and could live without the camera and lens for a while. Initial Customer Service was good, the Estimate came through quickly and I was able to make an informed decision on the repairs I wanted. A month later, I had not heard from Fixation and the repair was showing as "On Hold". I checked again a week or so later and noted no change to the status. I was surprised when I phoned them late April when, after a bit of digging, I was told the camera and lens were in fact repaired and ready for collection. Arrangements were then made to pay for the repairs and courier the kit back to me. Happy to report that everything was returned within 24 hours and the lens feels like new.

Camera and lens repairs
I have used fixation on two occasions to repair both a lens and a camera.
The quality of the repairs have been first class and the costs have come in matching / less than the estimates.
No hesitation recommending them for quality repairs / servicing.

They repaired a camera that had been soaked in the African ocean
Not only did they repair a camera that I thought might be irreparable, but the charge came out much lower than the estimate, they were extremely professional and prompt, and even sent me (free of charge) a battery for my camera, since I appeared to have lost both of mine. The repair was super-effective, and they couldn't have been more helpful

Fast and freindly service
Fast and freindly service. Use Fixation to clean the sensor on my DSLR every 18 months or so and this time their usual good job was even better than usual.

Delay this time
On this occasion my repair was delayed because the automated system to approve the quotation didn't register my input, delaying my repair- which was a shame as I have been without my lens for even longer than necessary. Other than that the repair process was smooth, as it has been when I have used Fixation previously.

Impressive Service
Very impressed with how easy Fixation arrange for you to get the repair item to them using a courier, arrived next day. The fault report and quotation for parts done within a few days. Parts had to be obtained, but the item was back within 14 days. I like how, if you log in to your repair summary, it give you a status report.
