Retrofit West レビュー

Matt visited my property very swiftly and reviewed the large number of damp issues we had and offered very comprehensive and detailed advice about the best remedies to fix them, including where to start first, rather than jumping in with a big fox straight away.

He provided a very detailed write up of our conversation afterwards and emailed across, which I was very grateful for, given how much useful information he gave us.

LWould highly recommend Matt and the Retrofit West service!

A very useful visit good advice on reducing damp through good ventilation, fabric / drainage improvement and more continual heating at a lower temp.

The adviser from Retrofit West who came to my house was on time, courteous and clearly very knowledgeable about a broad range of issues relating to energy and heat loss. We made a detailed assessment of my situation and gave relevant advice.
Similarly Retrofit West have been exemplary in responding to and assisting a group to develop a community wide retrofit programme.

Matt's advice has been invaluable. He's helped us to understand what would work for our property, what to look out for and suggested products to look into. This is a brilliant service being offered and I hope it encourages others to have the confidence to retrofit their properties.

Matt gave us a very comprehensive report with lots of very useful pointers tailored to our specific circumstances and with an impressively short turn-around. Our house has suffered extensive fire damage and is without a roof. He turned up on a cold November Sunday afternoon and was very thorough in his assessment including independent advice on things not directly related to a renewables system and which are now incorporated into the schedule of work for our rebuild. Top Marks!

Very easy understand Matt’s opinion on our projects . He is able to explain complex issues very intelligibly and make them easier to assess

Helpful and detailed responses to all our questions.

Matt Williams carried out our home assessment and was absolutely brilliant. He was supportive, knowledgeable, and gave clear advice to both my mum and me. From his advice and support, we now have a clear action plan and know how to move forward. He always responds quickly to questions and has even invited us to visit his own home for further guidance. Outstanding service throughout.

I found Matt's time spent looking at various house refurb works to be enormously helpful. The write up of our walk round, conversation, queries posed & recommendations made was all written up in a comprehensive report for me to work with going forwards.

Detailed and helpful advice. Took time to properly understand what needed doing and then options for how to do it.

I enjoyed chatting with my retrofit advisor, Nathan. He was knowledgeable and clear about the benefits and costs of each retrofit options that would suit my 1980's detached property (heat pumps, electric boilers, solar panels etc.), whilst also providing some useful practical advice to insulate and avoid damp issues in the house. I also like that they have a list of trusted suppliers and contractors to use as well.

Outstanding service, fast and efficient fault finding and rectification. I would highly recommend this business based on how they were able to diagnose and fix an issue that i had spent days trying to fathom

Our advisor was a great communicator, knowledgeable and did everything they promised.

The information and ideas that we were given were useful starting points for the processes (cavity wall insulation and the replacement of glass (not the frames)) we were considering.

We had to filter a considerable amount of information from the organisations that we were referred to by Retrofit West but that is an issue for the specialist trade bodies.

it would have been useful to know from the outset the limitations that Retrofit West have i.e. they can signpost but not recommend specific companies

Great, free service that was genuinely useful and appreciated. Highly recommend.

Joanne was amazingly knowledgeable and capable, showing us every conceivable way of improving our insulation and draught proofing, with clear priorities on implementation- and most at really low cost. There was no attempt to sell us anything, just pure, valuable, expert insight and information. The survey took just over 3 hours, so (with the voucher) was the best value ever! Just do it!

Matt from Retrofit West visited my house for a complimentary one-hour consultation. Although I had already done quite a bit of research, I was thoroughly impressed by his expertise and his guidance on available options and further resources. I strongly endorse this free home consultation service.

Friendly helpful consultation where they really listened to the issues of concern. Practical advice. Helpful availability with advice on specific questions over the next couple of weeks, before the report arrived. Detailed thorough report which clearly lays out the next steps we need to take. Thoroughly recommended!!!!!!

Clara was really helpful in navigating the maze of sustainable retrofit, especially internal wall insulation for solid walls, and breathable plasters. It has been really helpful to have support with planning and phasing of different works.

The team at Retrofit West have been really supportive throughout. We've had some useful feedback and will make a start on some improvements in 2026.

Matt was highly-knowledgeable, thoughtful, responsive, thorough, generous with his time and ideas, and full of sound advice.
