Great for track days not great for learning.
Overall, Ridesmart is a great organization if you want to get a lot of track time for not a lot of money. However, it is definitely not a training course. It is more of an opportunity for the high-intermediate to advanced rider to get some pointers and have lots of fun. If you're looking for a place to receive step by step instruction on individual skills, and the opportunity for repetition and one on one feedback, Ridesmart is not for you. Their website states a minimum requirement of 3,000 miles street riding experience and for you to be comfortable riding at highway speeds.to register for Level I Novice. I meet both of those requirements (not by much) and I was in no way ready to be there. I got "black flagged" on my first lap and just ended up leaving because I was slowing everyone else in my group down, and I didn't want to spend the day being "that guy." Much to the owner Dave's credit, he told me that I could come back at any time that I felt ready, and I would not be charged again.
