This is the worst car rental experience I have ever had. They are completely unprofessional and dishonest. To begin with, it took ages just to collect the car at the pickup counter.
The vehicle we received was already old, heavily worn, and covered in scratches from before. Despite the fact that we had full insurance, they managed to "scam" us out of €350 upon return.
When we brought the car back, the staff went out with the sole intention of hunting down any tiny fault just to extract more money from us. They pointed out a minor scratch that we hadn’t managed to capture on video or photo the day we rented it. Instead of acknowledging the pre-existing poor state of the car, they used this to rob us of €350.
Save your money, your time, and your sanity. Avoid this car rental company at all costs!

There are NO physical live human beings on site to assist. No matter if you have a credit card or great credit, they want either a $1000 or $700 security hold. It is off site from the airport so it is difficult to get back to the airport. The car was DISGUSTING and probably NEVER been cleaned . They did not have a current or valid inspection sticker on license plate. DO NOT USE

A part le fait que le loueur ne soit pas situé à l'aéroport, pour le reste ils sont toujours disponibles et très flexible. En tout cas le monsieur et le fils était très présent quand nous avions besoin

Semplicemente truffatori. Tentano di venderti polizze extra che raddoppiano quanto concordato con DiscoverCars mentendo sulla validità della tua carta di credito. Denunciati alle autorità e chiesto rimborso. Inoltre omettono tante micro clausole presenti nel loro contratto che non ti mostrano, es. Il divieto di andare in alcune delle spiagge più belle dell' isola. La macchina è geolocalizzata ma non lo sai. Di conseguenza si trattengono penali di minimo 150 euro. Devono chiudere per il bene dei turisti!

Absolute Betrüger! Bei Rückgabe sagte man der Lack an einer absolut nicht sichtbaren Stelle wäre beschädigt. Dieser Lackschaden war allerdings bearbeitet von denen mit Farbe vermutlich von einem früheren Schaden. Man hat uns trotz Vollkasko die Kaution in Höhe von 900 € (!) nicht zurückerstattet. Hinzu kommt, dass er uns mit erhobener Hand bedroht hat, das Protokoll zu unterschreiben. Wir hätten die Polizei rufen sollen. Leider muss man zum Flieger und möchte sich nicht vor Abflug von diesen Betrügern noch verprügeln lassen! Absolute Kriminelle. Der Vorfall ereignete sich im Juni 2024. Wie ich hier sehe arbeiten die immer noch mit der gleichen Masche

Je mets une étoile uniquement parce qu'il est impossible d'en mettre zéro.
Je loue des voitures depuis de nombreuses années, en France comme à l'étranger, et je peux dire sans hésiter que Rights and Car à Héraklion est de très loin le pire loueur auquel j'ai eu affaire.
Dès votre arrivée, tout est fait pour vous faire peur afin de vous vendre leur assurance complémentaire. On vous explique que les conducteurs crétois ne font attention à rien, que la moindre rayure ou le moindre impact vous coûtera 450 € de franchise, auxquels s'ajouteront les frais de réparation. On ne vous conseille pas une assurance, on vous l'impose psychologiquement.
Ensuite, première mauvaise surprise : le véhicule réservé n'est pas celui que vous récupérez. J'avais réservé un Seat Ateca et je me suis retrouvé avec une Citroën C4 Cactus, sans plage arrière et sans GPS. Aucun geste commercial, aucune excuse.
Les explications au départ sont expédiées. Avec la barrière de la langue, certaines clauses étaient difficiles à comprendre et personne ne prend le temps de s'assurer que vous avez bien compris ce que vous signez.
En arrivant sur notre lieu de vacances, une alerte de pression des pneus s'allume. Après contrôle, les quatre pneus étaient sous-gonflés d'environ un bar. C'est inadmissible pour un véhicule censé avoir été vérifié avant sa location.
Mais le pire arrive ensuite.
Je reçois un e-mail m'accusant d'avoir violé le contrat parce que j'aurais emprunté une route interdite. Pourtant, cette route était ouverte à la circulation, sans barrière ni panneau d'interdiction. J'explique immédiatement la situation par e-mail et rappelle que, compte tenu des explications confuses lors de la remise du véhicule, cette interdiction ne m'avait jamais été clairement expliquée.
Le plus incroyable, c'est qu'on vous loue une voiture sans GPS pour vous aider à vous orienter, mais elle est équipée d'un système GPS pour savoir exactement où vous roulez. Pas de GPS pour le client... mais un GPS pour le surveiller.
Lors de la restitution, je prends le temps d'en discuter avec une employée. Elle me répond que tout est OK. Je repars donc rassuré.
Le lendemain de mon retour en France, je découvre qu'ils m'ont tout de même prélevé 150 € sur mon compte, sans même prendre la peine de me prévenir ou de m'expliquer quoi que ce soit.
Je me suis senti trompé du début à la fin.
Entre les méthodes commerciales agressives, le véhicule non conforme à la réservation, l'absence de GPS, les quatre pneus sous-gonflés, les explications incompréhensibles, le suivi GPS utilisé pour vous sanctionner et le prélèvement de 150 € une fois rentré en France, cette agence cumule tout ce qu'un client redoute.
À tous ceux qui prévoient de visiter la Crète : ne faites surtout pas la même erreur que moi. Économiser quelques euros ne vaut pas le risque de voir vos vacances gâchées par ce genre de pratiques.
Passez votre chemin. Il existe des agences bien plus sérieuses, honnêtes et respectueuses de leurs clients. Je ne remettrai jamais les pieds chez Rights and Car et je déconseille cette société à quiconque souhaite passer des vacances sereines.

You can only talk to a screen not a real person. The car was quoted at $8 on Expedia for one day. After all the hidden fees it ended up being $74. I walked out and told them to keep the car and the $8. Worst rental car experience I have ever had. Beware

We didn’t get the car we booked en wasn’t similar. There were very rude with the pick-up, they were talking about us and sighing during the process. Also you have to pay more than a 100 euros to get insurance what is not told in advance. We don’t know her name of the lady who helped us, she looked a bit like this but without the glasses. It was not a nice experience and we felt really uncomfortable.

2 weeks with a car with indicators that didn’t work properly

Right cars the wrong choice.

Was very long at the office. We did all the process with a car but finally they changed the car (without any explications) and we had to do it again from the start…

The car we finally got was in a really poor condition and dangerous and pretty dirty inside.
The indicators were not working at all time, that is a worrying safety failure.
Also, the driver’s window was not working properly and was going down alone.
The 2 tyres at the front were very under inflated.

The battery level seems also to be very low since was complicated to start.

Despite everything, we follow all recommendations (not drive to Balos, off road….), put more gasoline than we got and the way to reward us is an extra 375€ for a scratch under the car that we are supposed to have done……. Including 75€ just to fill in a document.

Really looks like a company that just want to make money ignoring safety rules.

Rent some cars on every continents, this one is the worth and is not far from scamming people.

Make sure you do not sign anything before you have read the contract . They get you to sign then send you the contract . They charge excessive amounts for minor damages. Car is fitted with a tracker and they will fine you if you go on a unpaved road or unpaved car park.

À Heraklion- Crête :J'ai réservé et payé intégralement ma location à l'avance, assurance complète comprise. Une fois sur place, le personnel de Right Cars m'a annoncé que cette assurance n'était pas valable et m'a réclamé environ 200 € supplémentaires pour une "assurance complémentaire", sans que cette obligation ne figure nulle part dans le contrat signé. Face à mon refus, on m'a mis une forte pression (menaces sur la franchise en cas de moindre dommage, mise en doute de ma carte bancaire). Ce genre de pratique n'a rien à voir avec un service transparent : je recommande vivement de bien lire les avis avant de réserver chez Right Cars, et d'exiger systématiquement une copie écrite de toute clause avant de payer quoi que ce soit sur place. Une expérience qui a gâché le début de mon séjour.

Μόλις έφτασα στο σημείο παραλαβής, το προσωπικό της Right Cars μου είπε ότι αυτή η ασφάλιση δεν ήταν έγκυρη και μου ζήτησε περίπου 200 € επιπλέον για "συμπληρωματική ασφάλιση", χωρίς αυτή η υποχρέωση να αναφέρεται πουθενά στη υπογεγραμμένη σύμβαση. Όταν αρνήθηκα, μου άσκησαν έντονη πίεση (απειλές για την απαλλαγή σε περίπτωση ζημιάς, αμφισβήτηση της πιστωτικής μου κάρτας). Αυτού του είδους η πρακτική δεν έχει καμία σχέση με διαφανή εξυπηρέτηση: συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα να διαβάσετε προσεκτικά τις κριτικές πριν κάνετε κράτηση στη Right Cars και να απαιτείτε πάντα γραπτό αντίγραφο κάθε όρου πριν πληρώσετε οτιδήποτε επιτόπου. Μια εμπειρία που χάλασε την αρχή του ταξιδιού μου.

The staff give very aggressive hard sell for Right cars OWN insurance, an additional 160 euros does not make this a cost effective option. If you do not take this out, you will be given a sub standard car that has dents and scratches on every panel, you are expected to photograph every blemish or loose your deposit, as they will try it on when you return the car (con merchants!). We were also told not to take the car off road as it has a tracker and you will be fined. This turned out to be most of the beaches on the West coast that we wanted to see such as Balos beach. You are also not allowed to get sand in the car, a difficult task on an Island. I hire a car to get to our accommodation quicker on arrival and to explore the location. With so much hard sell and contracts to sign online meant we were at our hotel half an hour after the standard transfer. I would not recommend or ever use this company again.

This car rental company (Right car rental) will try to scam you for more money. I did a bundle package using Priceline.com and this company would not honor the Priceline.com deal. They wanted me to pay their prices, which were three times more. Avoid Right Car rental unless you want to get scammed.

This car rental is a scam they made me pay 500 dollars for insurance even tho i already show them i have insurance even on my credit card its covered. Be careful when using priceline make sure you know which car rental company they added on your bundle.

I gave one star to Right Cars because I could give this company less. Right Cars is a garbage, I booked a car from 06/12 a 06/30/2027 throughout Expedia. The car this company gave me was very good 2026 KIA Soluto, but with dead battery, I call and the owner wanted me to buy and change the battery by myself, but I said no because I didn’t want to spend more money on this company, after call and fight with the owner, he sent someone to change it laterally at the middle of the night. Also I had to pay to someone else for taking a family member to the doctor because the car didn’t turn on due to the dead battery. But wait, for returning the car they don’t have 24 hrs. service and they wanted me to charge more money because they have to receive the car our business time, besides of $900 for deposit and $500 for another car insurance that doesn’t cover anything because if the client has an accident it doesn’t matter who’s fault it is, the client always lose. I feel bad for the company’s employees the guy who attended me was nice, but the owner he is something else. I had the worst experience ever with this company. This company does not deserve to have clients because the owner is lack of care.DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL BUSINESS, THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

No front desk just little kiosque cabins to speak with a CSR through a camera and when it was time to sign and pay the down payment they were forcing me to upsell and but insurance which I already have ! It was $400 usd more I had to pay for the 1 week rental for supposedly admin fees etc…which I had already paid and booked by Priceline !! There were other customers that were there also and the same thing. Usually I necer had this issue !
Went to Routes and got the best service from Omer !

We were 5 clients at 2 a.m. they are forcing to upsell everyone. If you don't comply, they cancel your reservation, no refund.

Don't. I have very good private insurance.

Because I recorded the fact that I was forced into paying some more Insurance the guy decided to cancel the booking with all my authorization.

This agency only trapping customers offering attractive price with brokerd then after hunting the customer they play with the car size, brand and conditions under the umbrella of OR similar.

I bought a package from Priceline which included a flight a hotel stay and a car rental for 3 days from RC Right Car Rental out of Tampa, Fl. Firstly the car rental is not in the airport. It’s a 10minute drive by shuttle.
When you get there, it is in the middle of nowhere land.
Here comes their real scam>
The told me that they are going to charge my credit card $257. over the Priceline charges In Addition to a $200. deposit charge. I asked them 3 times to clarify this point and they explained that yes it was in addition to the Priceline charges and In Addition to the deposit. They explained that in my contract with Priceline it says that there will be other charges at the car rental place.
Again, i was only renting this car for 3 days!
I could’ve rented a car for less than $257. for 3 days elsewhere without my “package “ from Priceline!
At the RC office I called Priceline who then called RC car rental who DENIED that they were charging me $257. altogether!
All they were charging, they said was the deposit of $200.!
I was flabbergasted they lied straight to my face, scum of the earth!
I then told RC car rental that I would agree to the charge of $200. Deposit only. And listen to this…RC car rental told me that they are not going to rent to me at all, because I was recording them in a private property and that is illegal.
Priceline told me that there was nothing they could do for me, “it was my word against RC car rentals word”
So I was left stranded in the middle of nowhere without a car and without a shuttle to take me back to the airport or to my hotel!
It was a “lovely “ start to my vacation together with my wife in the hot sun.
Priceline then tells me that they would return the money of the package that was for the car rental, and that for my 3 days car rental Priceline said I would get a $23. refund!!
I was charged just under $3000. for the package.
