NORTH LAKES ROOFING SERVICES.
What a fantastic job Lee made stripping and replacing my flat roof, fascia boards and guttering. Removed all the waste and cleaned up after every shift, I would highly recommend NORTH LAKES ROOFING with any roofing requirements you need for a great job and very competitive prices would definitely recommend 10/10

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Roofer & Builder, based in the Maghull Business Centre, and I can't speak highly enough of their professionalism and work ethic. From the very start, their communication was clear and reassuring, ensuring that I understood the key steps of the process. They efficiently handled the re-slating of my roofs, chimney repairs, gutter work, window restoration, and several more repairs, even going above and beyond at times.

Throughout the project, the team consistently arrived on time and worked at a good pace. The great way they conducted themselves and their friendly demeanour did not go unnoticed. Neighbours who had been observing their work were genuinely impressed, with some even taking it upon themselves to note down the company’s details from their branded van.

The company’s membership with respected organisations like the National Federation of Roofers & Contractors, the Federation of Master Builders, and the government-endorsed Trustmark provided reassurance as to their expertise. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is also truly commendable, coming back quickly to make a very minor adjustment due to the downspout between my property and my neighbours after heavy rain, wind and hail hit immediately after the job was completed. However, the roof passed these not insignificant tests by mother nature with flying colours!

I have recommended Roofer & Builder (not to be confused with similar sounding outfits) to friends and colleagues in need of the services they provide, and I absolutely recommend them to anyone reading this review.

I have used Roofer and Builder for numerous commercial projects over the past few years, including roof installations, roof repairs, stud wall construction, plastering, and drainage work. Their workmanship has always been of the highest standard, and John and his team have consistently demonstrated professionalism and courtesy on every occasion.

One of the standout aspects of working with them is their commitment to health and safety. It’s reassuring to see how seriously they adhere to our onsite processes while maintaining their own strict safety protocols. Had this firm refelt my mothers garage they quoted a price, then trying it on saying this & this needed doing, I say no just do the job you are here to do, they said they will start between 9 & 10 they never turned uo till half 12 then went missing at 2 o clock all they done was removed the old felf, they ended the job about 6, the main man came in and said to be honest we have done the best we can do, they wouldn't even take the rubbish away with them, it very shabby work not even level, do not use this firm they are after your money

After damage to the chimney stack at my Mum's house following a storm, I contacted this company. John attended the same day and carried our emergency repairs. This was a huge relief for Mum. John also repositioned the ariel that had also come down so my Mum had her TV back. Excellent freindly service. Highly recommend. Thanks John

Great Work from a Tradesman I Can Trust

I can't praise John highly enough. He was very clear about what was required with the roof work. Explaining everything to me patiently.

He carried out the work to such a high standard and was thoughtful with details. I appreciated that he was careful in his manner of work too. For example, he laid something underneath his ladder - where it touched the part of the roof that is made from faux polystyrene coping stones - to prevent dents.

John and Carla have such a friendly, capable and professional way. Thank you so much, both of you.

Overpriced charlatan! This so called roofer came to do some repairs on my roof last summer as there were leaks in the ceiling of the attic around the chimney stacks. After paying £2000 for half a days work (he sat in his van for most of the morning while a young lad ran around to get bits and pieces for him), he finally went up on the roof for 2-3 hours to "fix" it. He showed me pictures of what he did but after 12 months the problems with the roof are still there and getting worse. An actual decent roofing company called today to take a look at the roof and said all he did the previous year was paint the old lead hashings a dark grey colour which would do zero to fix any of the leaks!! Not a bit surprised this lazy yoke couldn't be bothered doing his job and would rather fleece an unsuspecting customer. AVOID him if you can and ring Crosby Roofers instead who can actually repair roofs.

When I first met John to discuss the replacement of my garage roof, his dedication and enthusiasm for his profession was clearly apparent and he was obviously very skilled and experienced. Carla was also clear and helpful and communicated well when I had any queries.
It was raining a lot when John and his team started work but they came well prepared, using a tarpaulin as cover. They worked non-stop through the day and impressively managed to finish by late afternoon.
I was amazed by how good the finished roof looked! John and his team exceeded my expectations by the level of craftsmanship applied and by using the highest grade materials. I would certainly recommend John and his team to anyone without any doubts whatsoever.

Like countless others find, just getting a trade to turn up and look at a job is like pushing water up hill.
John and Carla both took the time to respond to our contact, and John quickly agreed a date/time to come and inspect the work we needed, which led to a very clear and detailed written quote of all work that would be undertaken.
We have a very old, listed property that needed to be handled in a certain way - specific methods
& materials, repair rather than replace, use of reclaimed slates, etc. and whilst another local firm took one look and wouldn't even consider the work, John was enthusiastic about the work needed and how it could be done in the most appropriate way.
Its early days, the work has not long been completed and so I've no idea yet on how long it will all last, however all of the original issues appear to have been rectified and the full list of proposed works completed by John and an equally nice team of his. We've finally got a watertight house and still have all of the original charm and features!
I have every confidence that John will look after me and my roof for a long time to come regardless of what happens.
John won my business based on his enthusiasm and obvious passion for his work. He is one of the few trades I've encountered who wanted to walk me through the tools, materials and methods for the work he would do - rather than just dismissing me as a customer who wouldn't understand - demonstrating true commitment to me the customer.

I was driving behind a Ford pickup (on a white 23 plate) between Willaston & Clatterbridge on Friday 31st August between 1400 & 1500pm were both the driver and passenger both through out rubbish from their windows, not a good advertisement for what otherwise seem's to be a good company.
Company bosses need to remind their staff of their responsibilities.
It doesn't take much effort to take your rubbish home guys.30/08/24

Wow! At last a genuine brilliant roofer. Sadly we have had some very unskilled cowboy roofers in the past so to finally find someone extremely skilled and who cares about their work and their client is such a relief.
We have a 400 year old house with a slate roof which needs special care and attention and after meeting John knew he was perfect for such a job. The wonderful Carla gave us a date and John came with a great highly qualified friendly team. Just to have someone turn up when they say they will is heaven alone and then to show the before and after photos with details of materials used was the cherry on the cake. All work guaranteed. John even fixed a couple of other areas for no extra charge. Truly amazing. Honestly, no need to look for anyone else. Brilliant, thank you John.

I had my roof done 7years ago by focus of St Helens a few weeks ago I had a leak from my chimney stack which was dripping in my bathroom,I rang focus who came out to look at it he said the mortar on the chimney had broken off, a week later he came out and did the job and did not charge me I would recommend this company 100%

I had multiple companies quote for removing & replacing the garage roof but I had no idea how good they were. Then Roofer & Builder were recommended to me & I’m glad they were. From speaking with Carla to arrange everything, to John & his team on the day - they were excellent. No hidden extra costs, good communication & the lads worked their socks off to get it completed the same day. Absolutely delighted with the end result & 2 neighbours have already said what an improvement it is.

SC roofing, have replaced my roof tiles. they have also removed the spray foam insulation, (which the government green homes grant is still advising people to have done. )
a really difficult messy time consuming job. they really have done a great job, good communication all the way through from start to finish. i highly recommend them.

We have recently had work done on our roof by the roofing company Wirral @barry Mighall. Barry came out when he said he would, completed the job very quickly and efficiently at a very reasonable cost. Barry was polite, friendly and I would recommended Barry to my friends and family. Great job.

I have had terrible Water damage to my inside and outside walls, for over a year, until to-day I had 3 different Roofing companies who came and told me they had found and fixed the problem, but that was not the case, as the damaged got worse and worse, then at the end of my tether, my good neighbour gave me a Roofing company name, that her family had used and found to be excellent in all aspects of doing a good job, Aberdour Construction Ltd. Stuart the head of the company came a few days ago, went up onto the roof, looked at different places took off tiles and came up with the answer that all the previous repairs were a disaster, one in particular , at the Chimney stack, a hole had been filled with a Plastic bag, not Cement. He came to-day and did all the repairs, I could not be more grateful for such a perfect job.

If you want a builder that doesn't follow instructions, has little respect for your property and just not even turn up when agreed (even to see Building Control!), then this is the company for you.

I gave 2 stars as we did eventually get the job sorted to Building Control's satisfaction but it was not without much stress. Clearly had never completed the work we requested before as 'unforeseen circumstances' (their words) meant the job lasted 5 months instead of a stated 10 days.

First class removal of chimney stack and all work involved in making roof waterproof. Arrived when they said they would and job completed within time frame given. Storm damage can be a pain but this roofer gets the job done fast competitive and to a quality anyone would be happy with
