Ordered 3 times and 3 times a cancelation so I was not able to get a copy elsewhere.
Amateur company in the vinyl businesss.
Rough trade retroactively placed a 1 copy per customer limit on my order weeks after my purchase was confirmed and shipping had been “confirmed”. They tried to lie to me about the policy, not realizing that past versions of their website are archived. When this was pointed out they stopped responding entirely. Gaslighters and scammers. Shop elsewhere.
After 2 weeks I had to Chase up my order only to be told that they don’t have it . After reading feedback it’s seems a regular problem selling items that are not in stock I’ve just looked at their website and it’s showing in stock
Quick to refund but Wouldn’t recommend or use this company again

They charge more than everyone else and invariably take a week after you’ve placed your order to attempt despatch. What is the point of offering more expensive one day delivery if you;re then going to just sit on the order for a week? Competitors are almost invariably cheaper and despatch within hours of receiving your order. Avoid!
I went to visit Rouge Trade East, London and buy some records, to my sadness and disappointment we were treated very badly by the cashier, who thought we were going to STEAL the records from the store. We were just going to get a bag, which was located on the front, but not on the outside. She was super harsh and called our attention saying that the cashier was there (we already knew, obviously, we're not stupid) we said we were going to get the bag and she said it was there in a rude way. But how were we to guess if we weren't seeing the bags? we asked about it and she kept repeating it, thinking we were going to steal the records. I only paid to prove that I don't need to steal anything, but I wanted to get my money back. Thinking it was too little, the cashier kicked us out of the store, even though we paid, she thought we were going to rob the store and kicked us out! You want to keep our money, but don't you want to treat consumers well? I was super disappointed with the way I was treated, at all times being evaluated as a thief? Be careful who goes to this store, I do not recommend it!
If you order to pick up here it’s a mess. Twice in a couple of months they have not told me my orders in and I go in just to browse and there it is on the shelf. Do I want this copy they ask. Well of course I do it’s limited and I might not get it. Shrugs their shoulders as if this happens a lot. They took my money as well. They have no way of separating a multiple order so if one comes in your money for it all comes out your bank. No communication to as where the record is and delays etc. You have to find out yourself from other record shops to find out if they have it in stock. Or even the record company if it’s been distributed or not. It’s a mess. Some stuff on The website you cannot pick up and is mail order and I’m sure stuff on there they have not got. I won’t go on about my other experiences. Staff great and friendly. It really is a shame.
Same as before with wrong advertising on the website. Gold coloured image record with "Golden nugget description" on the sleeve but item description indicates a black record. Trying to get confirmation of what was correct took 4 days siting short staffed....then corrected the website by removing the gold one. Totally wrong on their part so I wont be buying off them again.
Purchased a double LP towards the end of February to be emailed today that they could not get the stock in but the item is still listed on their store and is still orderable. Maybe don't advertise products that you don't currently have in stock? Awarding 2 stars instead of 1 as I at least received my money back.
Brought a new release two days before it was released, didn't expect it to show up the day of realease but a few days after. After waiting 2 weeks I still hadn't received anything, I checked my accounts to see that no money had been taken and I began doubting myself as to if I'd even brought it in the first place, deleted the email so I couldn't see, which was my fault. Ended up buying the CD on Amazon instead, then nearly 4 weeks after it was released I got an email from Rough Trade East telling me it was on the way. It was nearly 4 weeks before they took the money and shipped the item. I could have forgiven all of that if communication had been good, but no communication at all to say the CD wouldn't be shipped on the day of realease. Seems strange that a company who already lose out to the bigger companies don't take every aspect of customer service again, I wanted to use a respectable music shop so the artists and their crew got as much of the money as possible, but next time I won't bother.
Ordered from these and well where do you start. Website crashes while trying to order, when you finally get a meagre few minutes to look and order they charge extortionate postage. You think that as you’ve paid between £6 & £10 in postage your items will be delivered by courier, oh no they aren’t, they use standard post and cream the rest off you in profit. So you wait weeks for something you’ve paid more in post to receive it late.
Won’t be using Rough Trade again, they swindle you out of money on the postage.
