The size of the cruise is 16passengers; not too small and not too big for 1 guide. The guide is a licensed naturalist. 8 days 7 nights is optimal, not too long for some repeated activities.

One of the best if not the best vacations of our lives. The combination of adventure and luxury was intoxicating. Thoughtful itinerary and warm, hospitable crew. Fascinating excursions, hikes, snorkeling, and kayaking, not to mention first class service and delicious, plentiful (3 huge meals and snacks and happy hour) in between. Considering returning with our grown kids for the 8 day A Itinerary; this review is for the 8 day B itinerary

The Galaxy Sirius team looked after us extremely well from the time we checked in at Quito to the time we departed the Galapagos. Luxury boat with good size well fitted cabins, perfectly air conditioned. Great food on board. Guides were knowledgeable and very approachable. The itinerary is full on with meals squeezed in between fantastic shore excursions, rib trips and snorkelling. All equipment supplied was first class e.g. snorkelling gear, wet suits, paddle boards. Being on the maiden voyage following the refit made this a very special experience.

Royal Galapagos did an excellent job in arranging our trip. They answered specific questions in a timely manner. We loved our trip and would highly recommend using this company.

This was our 2nd trip on Infinity. The vessel is over the top wonderful. The food is awesome. The naturalists and zodiac captains, superb. And the hotel team overlooked by Edison, and the ship crew under Christian, stellar. I would never dream of traveling these enchanted islands with any other company! Looking forward to trip#3 when Genovesa reopens!

It was all great but the ship did have a mechanical issue that was a tad scary.

Everything from the first moment we landed in Ecuador was perfectly choreographed. Our pick ups and transfers were easy, ontime and so wonderfully nice. Our pre cruise excursions were fun and enjoyable and the moment we stepped foot on the islands our guides, crew and support was unparalleled.
Our cruise director Alejandro was always full of smiles and so accommodating. The chef kept our bellies full with so much amazing food and snacks and the rooms were kept spotless. Our captain even went 2 hours out of his way to ensure we got to see the lava flow from a recent eruption! Most incredible site.
Our naturalist guide David was so knowledgeable and patient, we learned and experienced so much on our trip! It was truly the trip of a lifetime!

Carolina Endara was my initial contact, and she was available to answer our many questions, preferences, and concerns. Her attention to detail and follow up was greatly appreciated. She was professional, efficient and personable, and we thank her.
The crew of the Calipso could not have been better. This was the best trip we have ever had.

Beautiful ship and excellent crew! The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all the details we needed for the upcoming event. Food was excellent and they accommodated my need for gluten free meals perfectly. Very well organized!

We combined 4-day and 8-day cruises on the Cormorant II so that we'd visit both western and eastern islands. Both tours were amazing. Although the crew was the same, we had different guides for each. Both guides were fabulous: knowledgeable and with excellent English. The Cormorant II is the best of both worlds. With a maximum of 18 passengers, you get a more intimate experience. With the catamaran hull, you have a stable ride. (If you're worried about motion sickness, choose a cabin in the middle of the boat on the bottom of the two passenger decks.)
Rooms were large but fairly sparse (not a lot of furniture). Meals were good. If you're looking for extravagant meals and plan to hang out in your room a lot, this probably isn't the cruise for you. If you love nature and want to see the amazing diversity of nature that is the Galapagos Islands, then this is your cruise.
In addition to seeing all the wildlife that we had hoped to see, the captain diverted the boat to see lava from an active eruption as it flowed into the ocean, which was an unforgettable experience that was a complete bonus to the trip itinerary.
I would definitely recommend Royal Galapagos and the Cormorant II.
