Late Later finished up at 11.45 only to listen to x rated young band who spent most of the lead up to the new year tuning their instruments..who are they

No wonder it's the law to pay the TV license!!!

Paying my TV licence for a rubbish service.
Never connects yet broadband is mega fast..
Never remembers where you have left off if you do manage to get connected...

I read other reviews on this app and I can't understand why rte can't get some one in the field of developing an app that really works.. This app is total shite, constantly freezing, won't open half the time...attrocise would be putting it mildly... and apparently it's been this way for many years....Are RTE that stupid that nobody there can rectify the problem with this app...A educated monkey would have done a far better job in programming it..

Enjoyed the film this evening it would be helpful if you could get the name right on the Irish Mirror guide and the correct credits for this film

This most be the worst app i have every used. It just will not load and when it does it stops working almost immediately. The developers of this app which i assume are RTE should be ashamed of themselves. Fix the problems with this app useless shower of dim wits. There is a reason i don’t pay my tv licence. I don’t have RTE television for a reason. Totally useless app not fit for anything only delete download. Reviews on this app always say the same thing and yet you still have not sorted the problem.

Can't load the player to a Firestick like you can do with literally any other player. When I use chromecast ,as soon as an ad plays it kicks you out of the episode and you're back to the start. Rubbish app!!!

Awful, so glitchy. Very frustrating

HOW is the app still so bad? Absolutely useless. Constantly freezing. Full of ads. Glitching the majority of the time. Will take our licence money and provide a woeful service.

It is so disappointing to come back after about 2 years, and the app is actually worse than it was previously. I dunno, why rte cannot get the bloody thing right, it drives me around th bend, with freezing and buffering. No other app behaves like the rte app. They could do with learning a few things from the BBC YouTube apps Etc, All those apps work flawlessly. The rate app is an absolute scandal.

What are you lot doing with the licence fee? Seriously? Most viewing these days is done via app and that's just frozen solid on the logo all day. Most of the rest of the time it skips and blights me with more ads as it thinks I've just switched on...are yous eating the money or what? What's the point in paying a licence fee if I can't even access via a viable up to date method...do you think we are all watching on the wireless or something. Can you be bothered to employ a decent tech firm to get that thing stable?

The RTÉ Player app is absolutely not fit for purpose. It crashes constantly, jumps forward or back in the middle of a programme, and often just switches itself off altogether. Trying to watch anything is a frustrating experience. This has been an issue for years with very little improvement — it feels like the app is badly designed and not maintained properly. A streaming service should be smooth and reliable, but this one is the opposite. Very disappointing.

I've just watched a beekeeping programme on RTE1..
Absolutely fantastic.....well done.

Worst news app. Keeps crashing. I have seen complaints for years and still only 1 star. Obviously they don't care. Licence fee secure and looking for more money but the app is rubbish. Also the player is no better

TG4 covered some of the Tour de France Femme (Ladies) race. Was watching with interest, but they did not cover the last two stages. What idiot at TG4 would show seven stages, and not cover the last two. There brain is in backwards. Never follow anything on TG4 again.

If I could give this zero stars I would.
Just like everything RTE does, dreadful lack of quality, a waste of time and money.

In typical RTE fashion, customers have been flagging their discontent with the app for some time but this is ignored.

Hi there, the new RTE/Met Eireann weather format after the 6.01 News looked good in theory in it's gentle introduction a few days ago! And very informative. However, this evening the World, Europe, Ireland and breakdown into Counties and towns was so squashed into such a short time, with the summary into a couple of seconds that I have no idea what the weather forcast is tomorrow and the next couple of days. Please either slow down the maps, readings and summary or give less information for the rest of the world and more for Ireland perhaps?
