Disappointing Service for a Loyal Hoka Fan - No Satisfaction Guarantee

I have been a loyal Hoka user since switching from Geox, and I rely on my Hoka Transports every single day. Based on that trust, I purchased the Hoka Challenger 8 GTX from Running Warehouse Europe (Order #3435086). Unfortunately, this experience has been incredibly frustrating for several reasons:

1. Product Performance Failure:
I bought these specifically for the Italian summer. However, after a light test walk, the Gore-Tex membrane caused extreme, unbearable overheating. These shoes are functionally unusable in a warm climate—a performance issue I could only discover by actually trying the shoe.

2. Refusal of a Reasonable Exchange:
I am NOT asking for a refund to my bank. I simply asked to exchange these for the Non-GTX version so I can keep wearing Hoka. Despite explaining that I am a dedicated brand fan, customer service (Ana) gave me a "robotic" refusal, showing zero flexibility or interest in customer satisfaction.

3. The 30-Day Policy Gap:
Hoka’s official global branding promotes a 30-day "second thoughts" return policy, yet Running Warehouse—an authorized retailer—refuses to honor the spirit of this brand promise for a loyal runner who made a simple mistake in choosing the GTX version.

4. Pricing and Discount Issues:
I applied a 5% discount code (roadtrailrun.com) which appeared on my invoice but was never actually deducted from my €113.81 total. Furthermore, the Non-GTX version is currently €10 cheaper, yet the shop refuses to even offer me store credit for the difference.

Bottom Line: I want to stay with Hoka, but Running Warehouse is making it impossible. I am stuck with a €113 "oven" on my feet because this shop cares more about re-selling a box than keeping a loyal runner on the road. I hope a supervisor sees this and offers the store credit exchange I requested.

Fast delivery, great price

Was looking for a pair of padel shoes, nowhere to be found in my size (47 1/3 EUR), finally found them on this website, ordered them in my size (a lot cheaper then any other place I had seen them in other sizes) on a Tuesday, delivered in perfect conditions on Friday (Belgium). Very happy!

I ordered all of my running shoes from running warehouse. I tried to call the Alpharetta store on Saturday morning about my 15% military discount and Michael would not give me the discount. I have always received my military discount and he would not give it to me. That tells me that Michael is anti-military and running warehouse is letting him steal my discount. I need to spread the word on social media. That’s running warehouse is anti-military.

I have ordered a pair of running shoes

I have ordered a pair of running shoes
just got an email from Royal mail that I have to pay customs charges which is more than 50% of the order value
I have tried to contact them through all telephone numbers and email with no result
Either the phones are busy or its out of hours
I was not advices about the customs charges which will be so high by the seller
My advice to all: stay away from this seller as there is no way of contacting them if something is not right with your order
Will not recommend to anyone
Just an update
Tried for 2 days to contact the seller, even called Germany. German customer service told me to call the UK number. This number is either busy or not in service. Wrote 4 emails with no response. No way of contacting. The customs for my order was over 50% of the order value. If you dont pay the customs you will not get the money back from the seller
Stay away from this seller!

We would like to clarify a few points regarding UK orders. When the United Kingdom is selected as the shipping country on our website, a dedicated information page is available directly from the homepage explaining how VAT and customs charges work for UK deliveries. This information clearly states that for orders above £135, VAT is collected upon arrival in the UK and that customs duties or handling fees may apply depending on the carrier and local regulations.

Regarding parcels that are refused because of customs charges, the shipment is simply returned to us by the carrier. Once the parcel is received back at our warehouse, we proceed with a full refund of the order.

Even though this situation is outside of our control, we understand that it can be frustrating. As a gesture of goodwill, we will contact you directly to provide a €20 gift card for the inconvenience.

Goede ervaring!

Normaal gesproken kom ik hier alleen om hele slechte ervaringen te delen ;), maar omdat ik zelf mijn weg helemaal kwijtraakte in de websites voor renschoenen, wil ik toch graag deze positieve ervaring delen. Ik bestelde schoenen - merk, model, maat die ik al kende - dus geen ervaring met retourprocedures. Maar het bestellen ging helemaal goed! Het voelt misschien dodgy dat ze een Brits nummer hebben maar een adres in Duitsland. En er zat wel een dag tussen dat je besteld, dan krijg je meteen een mail dat ze je bestelling nog moeten bevestigen en dat ze dat binnen 24 uur doen - spannend - en dan krijg je de bevestiging en een UPS tracking link (ik denk dat ze alles vanuit een fysieke winkel opsturen?) en dan duurt het nog een paar dagen voor je ze binnen hebt. In ieder geval, bij mij is alles prima gegaan dus ik kan het aanraden.

Accidentally ordering wrong shoes

I ordered by accident a completely wrong running shoes (for road instead of trail).
Clifton GTX instead of Challenger GTX.
I already paid and waited for the order to get shipped.
Instead of waiting for the shoes and returning them Free of Charge, I emailed Running Warehouse if they can swap the order prior to shipment.

They responded in a few hours with a message that they will gladly do the swap + that the price difference will be refunded to me.

Excellent service!

Bad experience

Asked for bigger size,Saucony Kinvara 15 , and they replied that they are unable to process a refund,becouse they are in used condition,and they can return my shoes for 15 euro fee.I only tried right shoe for a minute or two and packed it back in box,and sent it back tomorrow

Please avoid this company!

Please avoid this company. Whereas the prices might seem too good to believe, just wait until you have to pay the VAT, Customs Charges, fees from couriers other than the ones you already paid for. All in all I had to pay a total of £84 additional to receive two pairs of trainers. The saving I would have made was utterly wiped out and I will have ended up paying much more than I would have if bought through a reputable UK business like Sportshoes. Avoid Running Warehouse!

Great overall experience

The shoes I purchased were a little small so I wanted to exchange them for a bigger size. The return process was made very easy by Running Warehouse EU. Easy to print label and free. I sent an email to customer service and they promptly replied that as soon as they received the shoes, they would ship out the new ones. Not only did they use FedEx to ship them, but the new ones were now on sale so they refunded the difference to my account. The price was very good. I am very happy with Running Warehouse EU.

Super nem bestilling

Bestillingen er nem. Leveringen foregik også uproblematisk.
Men når det kommer til at returnere en vare, så opstår problemerne. Det er nu 4 uger siden jeg returnerede en vare, og jeg har stadig ikke modtaget en tilbagebetaling. Umiddelbart ser det ud som om pakken slet ikke er leveret til dem af DHL. Og der er bare ingen hjælp at hente hos kundeservice hos runningwarehouse.

Unfair Return Policy – Beware Before Buying!

Very disappointing experience with Running Warehouse Europe. I ordered a pair of shoes that didn’t fit properly, so I returned them the same day after briefly trying them on. They refused to issue a refund or even an exchange, claiming the shoes were “used” and could no longer be resold. Trying on shoes to assess fit is completely reasonable, yet they applied an overly strict return policy with no flexibility.

Instead of standing by good customer service, they only offered to return the shoes to me—for an extra €15 shipping fee—or a discount on another purchase. Essentially, I paid €130 for shoes that don’t fit and had to pay again just to get them back.

I would not recommend buying from them unless you’re 100% sure the shoes will fit, because their return policy is far too rigid. Very disappointing service for an online retailer.

Utilizan UPS, que son unos estafadores

El producto bien. Pero, utilizan a UPS como transportista, y UPS hace lo que siempre hace UPS. Dicen que lo han intentado entregar cuando no es verdad, y te piden que lo recojas tú. Luego encima, eliges un lugar para recogerlo y te lo entregan en otro, el que les da la gana. Running Warehouse me da igual, agnóstico, pero nunca quiero a UPS como transportista.

Shocking Service! Stay Away from RunningWarehouse if You’re in the UK!

This has been, hands down, one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered a pair of shoes from RunningWarehouse NINE days ago, and here I am, on the 18th of October, just finding out that there’s an issue with the address. The parcel was shipped from Germany using DHL Packet, only to be handed over to ParcelForce in the UK, where the nightmare truly began.

First off, they changed the tracking code for a domestic one and completely messed up the address. Who’s responsible for this? DHL? ParcelForce? Or the seller? Doesn’t matter—because none of them seem to care!

I’ve spent hours trying to get this resolved. Contacting DHL, ParcelForce, and RunningWarehouse—only to be given the runaround by all of them. ParcelForce tells me the address is wrong, but it’s the seller’s job to fix it. RunningWarehouse? They flat out admit this happens all the time and blame it on DHL and ParcelForce not changing the address or correcting the shipping route. Seriously? If they know this is a frequent issue, WHY are they still doing business with these incompetent shipping companies?

It’s pure negligence. And their solution? Wait over 20 days for ParcelForce to hold my parcel in their depot before it gets sent back to Germany, at which point I might—just might—get a refund. So now, I’m stuck waiting nearly a month, with nothing but excuses from all parties involved.

This is beyond frustrating—this is unacceptable. If you’re in the UK and considering shopping with RunningWarehouse, do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. They can’t handle basic logistics, and you’ll be left to deal with the fallout. Absolutely disgraceful service.
