Ruth Jewelry is a scam. You'll get sympathetic emails and a load of CHEAP TAT. You wouldn't wear it yourself or give to anyone else.

Absolute rubbish and a scam, handmade my eye, you need a magnifying glass to see it, I ordered a dog pendant cos I’d just lost my dog after 15 years as what I thought would be a lasting momentum, foiled again I really must not order from such people again I’m so gullible. I never thought to look at Trustpilot before I bought it taking these scammers at their word is our downfall! Beware everyone!!

Fraud and I got taken!!! The items I ordered are no where near what they were advertised and looked like. One pair of earings arrived broken and their response was to send them back to China. REALLY and pay postage!!! The earings are worthless!! There are so many scams on line now, especially those capitalizing on the fires in Los Angeles.

I gave the one star only to write the review. Scamster, just like everyone has mentioned. The jewellery that came were cheap stuff none of them looked like silver. I returned them to the address that their customer service sent me. That was November 5, 2024. Till date the tracking says in “ customs, awaiting clearance.” It’s been there since November 15, 2024. I’m a jewellery lover and had bought gifts for family too. Lost nearly $300 together with the return postage. Why can’t we do anything about it? The website mentioned the jewellery being made in Arizona! I fell for it!

I ordered jewelry from this company and returned most of it. I paid $18 for return to China on Oct 11, 2024.
Today is Dec 28 and “Ruth” still hasn’t received my return.
This jewelry isn’t hand made. They go by lots of other names ie:Ruth, Beth, Mary. The stories are all the same, how after many years they’re closing their stores. Well folks, there are no stores. It is a scam and I fell for it.
I’m sure I’ll never get my refund and I’m out the $18.00 for postage.
Why are these ads (scams) allowed on Facebook?

I ordered from Ruth's Gems before I read the reviews on this site. My mistake!
The jewelry in the pictures looks NOTHING like what you get! What you get is CHEAP costume jewelry! It does not come from Ruth's shop that is closing in AZ is comes from China.
I returned this crap to China on 10/4/24 and it has made it to China but as of 11/7/24 it remains "Processed thru Facility"
I have emailed "Ruth's Gems" and always get the same response "we have not received your purchase in our warehouse"
So, Ruth's Gems has 129.00
DONOT order from these SCAMMERS!

What I am about to write doesn’t deserve a single star. I am one more on the statistics, Of the people got scammed by beautiful pictures on website Called Ruth’s Gems, And what I received didn’t look anything like the pictures the stones are different and two silver 99% earrings are actually all plastic, one of them replaced with Dreamcatcher made of metal that sticks to magnet, instead of silverMandala earrings With beautiful stones. When contacted via email I was refused Refund based on reason of return within 30 days policy. I called American Express, And started proceeding for refund since Ruth’s gems Refuse to send me refund voucher…..

What a farce! After receiving the ordered jewellery that was not the merchandise advertised, but cheap bijoux, I requested a refund. I received a return address from them, paid $20 return postage fees, waited almost 3 months, and now have learned that there is no such address and the package is being returned to me. Such fraudulent activity and there is no action that can be taken. They also trade under different names. Can’t believe that they get away with it. won’t be buying anything advertised on Facebook, who don’t care and will not root out these scammers.

Total scam! Says it’s hand made from Arizona but shipped from China & it was so cheap and looked nothing like the photos. I wrote I wanted a full refund and they replied to ship the jewelry back. I did. It’s been over a month. Don’t waste your time or money

This is a fraud and scam!! Never received order I placed and no response when I checked. Phone number disconnected, no address to contact.

Ruth's Gems (and it goes by other first names, and there is a similar scam about handbags, all with the same pitch about an artisan in the US retiring after years of high quality craftsmanship) is a total scam. The items could only be sold at a dollar store; the earrings arrived bent and broken. I tried to undo the order within 3 minutes of making the order and was told it was too late, and I could only return the order. The person in China is polite but firm: She TELLS you not to state the value as you paid it on the customs form required to return to China but to understate it... and sure enough, the the cost of returning is way more than that. I did pay to return it by US mail but not through a courier, and so they refused to refund me. I am so angry that I fell for this.

would do zero stars if possible. As everyone else said, "Ruth" is a scam from China. Items are not sterling, not as pictured, not handcrafted, not by an artist who's going out of business. I usually don't fall for these but lesson learned.

I'm fairly certain these tin and plastic earrings (supposed to be silver and gem stones) were made by a 5 year old.

It's wrong on so many levels.
