Purser’s have been my opticians for many years. Staff are kind and professional and always make you feel welcome. Very importantly, I have complete confidence in my optician Bev who is extremely thorough and takes time to explain any issues. I can’t imagine going anywhere elsewhere for my eye checks.

This opticians, the Purley branch, also known as Pursers Opticians- offer an outstanding service.

I have been going here for several years and the staff are professional, friendly, accommodating and excellent at what they do.

As well as thorough, general eye tests, they also carry out specialised testing for various aspects of eye health, including imaging of eyes, optic nerves, glaucoma assessments, field vision tests and more. They provide a wide range of diagnostic services.

They also offer a comprehensive range of eyewear for adults, teens and children covering all budgets high and low, and include many designer brands.

I purchased some glasses from there last year, a couple of pairs, and the selection for glasses, lenses and various services relating to eyewear was fantastic.

The reception/administrative staff are friendly and helpful and the Optician I have been seeing is excellent at what she does, patient, takes as much time as is needed to be extremely thorough to ensure nothing is left to chance in regards to eye health and following up on your eye care.

The location itself is easy to access, has lots of available parking options both within a minutes walks away and also if really needed due to disability, onsite. Wheelchair friendly and all on one level so no pesky stairs if you have mobility challenges.

The bus stops a few seconds walk away from them and the train station is a couple minutes walk away.

There are several cafes and lovely coffee shops within a minute or so walk so that if you need drops that require a short wait, you can always pop a few doors down for cake and coffee while you wait. However, they also have a lovely, modern open spacious office with comfortable seating area.

I highly recommend and personally would not wish to go elsewhere after the high level of care and service I have experienced here over the years I have been going there.

The staff are always welcoming and helpful with complete professionalism. Always a pleasure to visit them.

Pursers in Purley is simply wonderful. The staff all know us by name and that makes the trips so much more enjoyable and personal. They are polite, efficient, professional and just lovely.

Efficient but hard sell
Thank you for your reply. I would not have mentioned it but I was asked to review. I decided not to have further communication with you because I really didn't want a hard sell

The care and attention I have received with regards to my eye health - especially as I am not the proverbial "spring chicken" these days.

Picked up my new glasses yesterday and was in and out in 5 minutes with the glasses a perfect fit. I was offered adjustment but did not need to.

My son recently had his eye test, and I am extremely pleased with the experience. The examination was very thorough, and everything was explained clearly and patiently. The optometrist took the time to make my son feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the process, which made a big difference.
The results were explained in detail, and I felt confident that his eyes were carefully and professionally checked. The overall service was excellent, friendly, and reassuring. I would highly recommend this practice to other parents looking for a positive and professional eye test experience for their child.

The optician who conducted my checkup was very thorough and gave excellent explanations and answers to my numerous questions. She made the appointment an enjoyable experience.

Pursers has been our family opticians for last 20 years. Eye tests are always thorough and professional advice I can trust. After care is excellent for adjustment and minor repairs. Love to support local family firm. Low turnover of staff is always good indication of a good company. Alex, Debbie, Bev, Ran and Pam are always helpful.

Woodfalls is an excellent company; they very much treat me as an individual and are extremely diligent in sorting out any problems. I have had a few issues with my prescription which is quite complex, and they leave no stone unturned to get them resolved. I feel my eyes are very well looked-after; their pricing is very fair and I have great confidence in all the staff there.

Good time keeping and customer service.

This opticians has a nice laid out display of glasses with prices to suit most customers. Relaxed, and clean waiting area, with magazines and we were also offered a tea or coffee whilst waiting for each other. They offer a professional service and are punctual with appointment times.

There efficient and very informed.
Examination is thorough and as a client I am infomed every step of the way.

Also had a dry eye examination. Very helpful albeit the handout instructions given to me didn’t tally with the eye bag product instructions.

The staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable, especially when going through the eye tests. I've been a customer of their's for several years.
