I cannot find enough superlatives to describe my ‘trip of a lifetime’ experience with Safari and Beach. I contacted a number of well known companies who advertised ‘tailor made ‘ holidays in order to plan and book a trip that met our needs and wishes. ( An 80 yo grandmother and two grandchildren aged 14 and 11) Without exception, these companies wanted to fit us into their itineraries whereas I wanted them to arrange a bespoke trip.
How life changed when I discovered Safari and Beach! Nick wanted to ensure that our dreams became reality - and proceeded to do so. He, Tim and Josh were endlessly patient ,caring ,reassuring and good humoured however often I contacted them. We eventually settled on a three part trip spending 5/6 days each in Dar Es Salaam Hyatt Regency Hotel ( education and culture), Nyerere Selous Impala Camp for Safari and ending at Pongwe Beach Hotel ,Zanzibar for rest and relaxation.The organisation was seamless. They were inspired choices and personalised throughout. The locations were glorious and the accommodation was luxurious . Our safari guide / driver Omary was incredibly skilled and knowledgeable and we saw all that we had dreamt of seeing plus many even more rare sightings. It was utterly magical !
Pongwe Beach was idyllic and yielded more wildlife sightings including bush babies who came to a feeding table built into the eaves of the dining room during the evening meal, to the delight of us all.
The staff at Safari and Beach went many miles above and beyond their brief before, during and after our trip to ensure that all went well and that we were having a good time. I cannot recommend them highly enough and hope that I can always turn to them for future holiday bookings. Thank you so much Nick, Tim and Josh!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful and memorable trip to Tanzania on safari and Zanzibar on the beach.
We went to Selous Impala Tented Camp in Nyerere National Park where all the staff and guides were exceptional and we saw many rare sightings. They made the game drives fun, interesting and varied. They went out of their way to make sure we had a good time.
Our beach holiday was at Pongwe Beach Hotel on Zanzibar. It was a unique and relaxing experience right on the beach by the Indian Ocean. Again, the staff were friendly and helpful and there was some very interesting entertainment with African music and dancing which lasted just the right amount of time.
Throughout the planning and booking process Safari & Beach were very helpful and responsive to our queries and nothing was too much trouble. We would not hesitate to use them again.

The team at Safari and Beach were amazing from the moment we enquired. We went to Tanzania on our honeymoon and they helped to create the perfect bespoke itinerary for us travelling to a few different parks, and then to Zanzibar. Every place we stayed was incredible and there is nothing about the trip we would have changed. Safari and Beach took all of the stress out of the planning - once we had agreed on the itinerary, all we had to do was sort our visas and they handled everything else! I would 100% recommend Safari and Beach to anyone looking for safari holidays, and we will definitely be using them again if we go on another Safari in the future!

Epic bespoke advice really understanding what we like and want, and they gave us the best advice. Really valued the personal approach early on from Josh, Nick, Millsie, and others.
Last year when we booked we had to cancel.part of the trip due to a family bereavement. The sympathy, kindness, and massive logistical support was amazing. Then we rebooked this year and just had the best trip ever. S&B really use the BEST local companies. Maasai Wanderings is the most awesome company and our guide was awesome (will never forget him!). Ndovu camp was incredible (elephants wanering through camp) and Fundu was fairytale. And the kindness and support when we had a travel hitch (lost passport) en route home was again much appreciated. These guys are the best (and exceptional value compared to the bigger tour operators) cannot recommend these guys enough. Amazing

Working with Safari & Beach to arrange a personalised adventure of a lifetime couldn't have been easier, their wealth and breadth of knowledge of each camp based on first hand experience was invaluable, i would highly recommend them to anyone looking to plan a safari, we couldn’t have asked for anything more, they planned and helped to deliver memories which will last a lifetime , we can’t thank safari & beach enough

Amazing - holiday of a lifetime. Brilliant advice and suggestions - Gina really knows because she has been to all the locations. The logistics were spot on - accommodation, food, people wonderful. And the safari was mindblowing. I didn’t expect to see such plentiful wildlife up close - we counted 60 lions!

We have just returned from an amazing trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar and cannot thank Rachel and all the team at Safari Beach for such a fantastic time. Everything was taken care off from start to finish it was truly seamless. We stayed at 3 accommodations on Safari which were all unique and wonderful where all the hard working staff made sure we were well looked after. Our excellent guide Shoma for the 6 days was so interesting, knowledgeable and ensured that we had a great time seeing the big 5 plus everything else it was a real education, we were safely in very good hands! Following the safari we then went to a beautiful hotel in Zanzibar to relax again can not fault anything it was perfect. Would 100% recommend Safari Beach they created an amazing itinerary and experience with memories to cherish forever.

Josh is amazing! Always finding the best flight routes and deals and is a god sent when we had a flight cancellations ! He sorted it all out for us which ment we could carry on enjoying our holiday without stressing about the flights back home! He really saved us and we HIGHLY recommend! And are soo thankful! 🙏

We booked a 25th anniversary trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar, and Safari and Beach team were great. From when I 1st spoke to her, Gina listened to what I was after, adjusted things for my husband's health needs, and was responsive and helpful.
We had our flights out cancelled due to the middle east situation, and the team sorted alternative flights, and were contactable even on a Sunday!
We stayed at a wonderful camp- the Selous Impalla camp-, and saw an incredible abundance of animals and birds. The camp was amazing, as were our guide and driver.
We spent 2 nights in Stonetown which we really enjoyed.
Our time at Pongwe Beach Hotel in for relaxation was magical.
Everything was organised well, and the team at S and B clearly know everyone they work with, including our lovely driver on Zanzibar, Juma.
They have built a network of high quality and reliable people on the ground.
I cant recommend them highly enough. For a special occasion trip, it is worth spending a little more and knowing you are in excellent hands and will be well looked after

An absolutely unforgettable holiday from start to finish. The hotel in Dar es Salaam was superb, and the safari was beyond anything we could have imagined. Our guide, Hans, truly made the experience — his knowledge, warmth and excellent English meant we felt completely at ease, and having him to ourselves made it even more special. Highlights included visiting a Maasai village, seeing animals so close, and even a surprise snake in our tent!
Pongwe Beach was sheer paradise, with wonderful staff who made our stay extra special, especially at our final dinner. Every transfer ran smoothly, and we felt well looked after throughout.
A special thank you to Gina at Safari and Beach, who booked the holiday — she was absolutely excellent and everything was perfectly organised.

Thank you Josh for creating a wonderful trip to South Africa for us - great suggestions, seemless organisation and really special Accomodation. Highlights were the Rovos train journey, Tsala Treetops and the Cobra drive. Your personal attention and friendliness were exceptional and were especially valued when one of our flights got diverted mid air! We felt totally supported and will be back for more adventures!

I wanted to book a special holiday in South Africa for the family and to help my son celebrate his 21st birthday. Safari and Beach certainly enabled me to do this. From the get go Josh could not have been more helpful, listening to our requirements and tailoring the itinerary to perfectly fit. The safari was amazing and something we will never forget and Noka camp was truely stunning. Our week in Cape Town thanks to Josh enabled us to experience the best of Sourh Africa and it is a holiday we will never forget. I would highly recommend.

Gina and her team organised our trip to the smallest detail and everything went like clockwork. Our guides were fantastic, the wildlife was incredible and the ‘tents’ in the bush were luxurious. The hotel in Zanzibar (Pongwe Beach Resort) is rated officially as 3*, but our experience was more like 4*, pushing 5*. From the managers to the cleaners, everyone was charming, friendly and professional. The position of the hotel is simply stunning. We had a wonderful time and I would recommend using Safari& Beach and their extremely knowledgable team for a trip such as this.

We booked our honeymoon through Safari & Beach and Rachel, Tim, Josh and the team were amazing throughout.
The hotel/camp they advised were exactly what we wanted, the safari at Impala Camp gave us everything we wanted, knowledgable guides, lots of animals and not too many other vehicles and Pongwe in Zanzibar is a slice of paradise.
Even when our flight got cancelled by the airline the night before we flew home, the team at S&B were able to re-book tickets and ensure no disruption to our plans.
We couldn’t recommend them enough.

I cannot recommend Safari & The Beach enough; I came across them online so I wasn’t recommended but I would (and have) to anyone wanting a magical safari experience. We spoke to Gina whose passion and love for Safari, people and culture came across in abundance. Gina listened to what we wanted to and tailored the whole trip to our needs. The trip was perfect from flights, connections, pick up's, accommodation, food and drink. Im pescatarian and remember a plate of fresh fish being presented to me in the middle of the Serengeti, the people really can’t do enough to help you. Also it was our honeymoon and even though we upgraded our accommodation in Zanzibar we didn’t expect anything on safari but at every stop the accommodation made such gorgeous gestures from singing, champagne and fresh flowers being on our dining table and bed. The safari tents were also out of this world. The whole trip was magical, but I have to call out the animals (of course) and our guide who I am sure I must have drove mad after 5 days and so many questions, but he was so lovely and gave us a massive hug and exchanged presents at the end of our trip. I fell in love with Tanzania and can’t wait to go back. The next trip is being planned.

Our trip was perfectly planned by Safari and Beach, with excellent attention to detail and brilliant recommendations throughout. We felt very well supported during the entire process and everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Josh, who went above and beyond to help us rebook our journey home after one of our flights was cancelled. His quick support over the weekend meant we made it home on time!
