I used them for a certification toward an insurance premium discount recently. My experience was overall middling. There were definitely some hiccups and complaints. At least the course actually works and I got my certificate, which is the bare minimum.

On the main reasons they've got one of the lowest ratings from me is due to a multitude of complaints. Firstly, they tack on a lot of what are essentially microtransactions for features that should essentially be complimentary in this digital world, like free included email delivery (supposedly near instant), and/or free expedited shipping.
I only paid for the course and email delivery. The email delivery is a $5 upcharge. The upsale for expedited shipping, email delivery, etc. are rather deceptive in my opinion, as they do not disclose this until you get to their "optional" fee add-ons. Otherwise, their free shipping option can take 2-4 weeks! They need to overhaul their entire pricing structure and remove that upcharge system.
It's somewhat deceptive, since they advertise a low price for an online safety course, and the customer initially believes they're getting a hassle-free, fast, and straight-forward course.

The software experience was rather old, coming right out of 2007, but they did not email me my certificate until I contacted their customer support via email. They reached out and explained that due to a glitch in their system, and my certificate was never processed after I completed the course until I emailed them the following night... strange!

The course itself is okay... definitely an outdated UI but it's functional. On another note, the exam is seemingly a one-attempt thing, and you may need to pay for the course AGAIN to redo the exam.

Contacting customer support was also a rather substandard experience. You cannot contact them on their website directly from their forms, or at least, they don't answer them from my experience. I had to directly email their support in order to get my certificate issue resolved. At least the customer support response email was timely, answering by Monday noon when I emailed them on Sunday evening. They even left an apology voicemail, which explained why they supposedly had issues on their end.

I would not recommend buying their course unless a massive overhaul is done. Their systems are sketchy in terms of quality at best, and I can see why there's a ton of negative reviews!

Never received records and refused to give refund. Said I didn’t provide info, but there wasn’t anywhere to put it in. Go straight to your government site. Cheaper and you get it automatically. This seems like a scam.

First: they ask for you to provide a tip, before you even begin the course. As there’s no human contact, who gets the tip??
Second, there is some device that makes you wait online AFTER you finish each class. If you leave the site, you get to do the class again. So plan on staying at the site, keeping your screen active for 20 minutes after EACH class.
Third, good luck getting the certificate from them you will need to get your insurance discount. I’ve asked four times and no response.
Fourth, good luck getting a human on the phone. You are told to go to the website and then you are disconnected.
My advice if you’re unable to get your certificate? Get your money back from your credit card! I did!

This is LITERALLY a ripoff version of 1safedriver.com; they even have an article stating how safedriver.com fakes its reviews!!! Just look at the sites’ presentation and realize how scammy the site itself looks 🥀🥀

Don't waste your time and money, they offer the course for $25 but after you purchase it, they will start to offer A LOT OF some "optional" features that you need to complete the course, with extra cost reaching almost $40 ($38.95)!! Also, you can't advance to next chapter until you wait 50 minutes for every chapter (12 total), but the surprise is with final exam if you fail, they don't offer you retake it again; they want you purchase again the course for another $24.95!! PLUS EXTRAS . other sites allow you retake exam for free so avoid this one and save money!!
There are better sites than this one, total dissapointment !!! :(

was taking the traffic ticket dismissal course, the cost of the course is $25. The option to recieve the results by email was supposedly a "nominal fee", but was around $50 by itself. The "review section" also had reviews stating:

HORRIBLE! I was just trying to find a driver course that I could complete same day. I wish I would’ve taken just a little more time to research. I had taken Idrivesafely multiple times before. I should’ve never tried something different. They say low cost but once you pay that “low cost” the only way to get your certificate in a timely matter, is if you pay $50+!! On top of that, you have to pay extra to have it read out loud; otherwise, you’re just reading the whole time. They cut into your reading time every 4-5 minutes with verification questions. You only have 90 seconds to answer, or they’ll lock you out. Then you have to call to get unblocked. You get 3 times for that to happen and then you’re completely out of the course. THATS STEALING PEOPLES MONEY!! Biggest scam ever. I took some of the quizzes and they didn’t even have the correct answers on them, so I had to keep watching the video and retaking. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Will be disputing charges and possibly taking legal action.

There are a number of disturbing issues with safedriver.com and onlinetxdefensivedrivingcourse.com. May be the same company - they share the same phone number.

1. Very poor customer service. Non-responsive. I am still awaiting an e-mail response from almost a week ago.
2. Pricing. $25 for the course is not accurate; it is closer to $90 - that doesn't include the massive upsells that you are bombared with during the course.
3. Upsells. Upsells. Upsells. Which leads to what I stated previously. Students are bombarded with upselling ads, at the beginning, and, at the end of the course. These companies seems to be focused on greed, instead of helping people, and providing a fair price and great customer service. The upsells certainly gives credence to this.
3. The more than $50 to e-mail you your certificate. Note, which ever selection you choose, is still $50 or more.

Company stated that courses were offered in Spanish and my mother being mainly spanish speaking and working towards getting her driver's license feel for this. Course was in complete english and not the TLSAE course she paid for but a BDL course for citations. Which of course she doesn't have because she has no driving record. Stay away from this company and for those who's parents do not speak english as their primary language please verify that its an accredited website by your DMV before purchasing. I will be fighting for a refund and reporting to the BBB.

Then once it gets your card info and places it will try to sell you the email certificate for 50 dollars on other platforms they will email for free this one will auto check 50 dollar email and offer over nights at 50 and warn you about post office taking way to long.

If you manage to avoid this part and pass the test they will retry this method checking multiple boxes to try and get more money from you. If you manage to get through all the BS they will offer to reduce the emailed cost to $10 How nice of them

Safedriver.com is not a good company nor a good program. There website program is quite glitchy and there company's customer service representative are liars. They website says you get 10 days to get your refund, when I called for a refund within 10 days they said you only have 3 days. It was a horrible experience. They are shady!!!

After taking and passing the online safedriver exam I was not able to print a certificate and found it almost impossible to contact someone to print and email the certificate to me.

This company ripped me off. The first problem was the audio was very fast pace. The material was not pertaining to the course study that was in material at Idrive.safely.com which I must say is an EXCELLENT driving school. Do not pay any attention to the advertisements you will receive in the mail (i.e. The Lowest Driving School which you will immediately receive once advertisements). The school was teaching lots of statues (FS 4657832 that should not have been part of the curriculum. The original post card read Lowest Price Traffic School and from this website that I enrolled I was charged $39.95 (for the course) then $4.95 for audio & additional $29.88 to retake the final exam. They used the following names Lowest Price Traffic School, Safe Driver Defensive School, Lowest Price Traffic School & Safe Driver.com. They never offered to refund me the original cost $39.95 if for any reason I'm not happy with the course prior to taking the FINAL exam which "I Drive Safely" offers. It should be against the LAW for driving schools to get away with taking customers money without offering a refund prior to FINAL exam. On the 10 question test exams you NEVER was given the correct answer to the question you missed & you never saw all 4 answers that was listed to choose from. On the 1st final exam it showed me 28 correct out of 40 & the 2nd paid Final exam 31 out of 40. I believe I would NEVER would have received a passing score. After spending $73.08 with this "BS" online Driver's School. It was time to move on!! Please if you need a good driving school go to I Drive Safely and there's no charge to retake the FINAL test!! I pass the FINAL EXAM on my first try!! Please share this story to your friends & family. They must be STOPPED!!

They lure you in with the decent price for Drivers Safety at $25+$3 service fee. Then when you get to the next page they ask for another $39.95 for email certificate delivery and claim that USPS fails to meet delviery in time (up to 30 days).Why should an email be more than cost of course? They also add $14.95 rush processing fee to get driving record in time. $4.95 to listen to course instead of having to read for 6 hours. My vision gets bad when on computer for very long. You don't know about any of these extra costs until after they have charged you for course. Other websites offer these extras for no extra charge on top of $28.

Everything is an up-charge! While they promise “same day certificate processing” it’s only after you sign up and pay they reveal a $50 fee for emailing your certificate! Otherwise, it’s a two week wait. They literally up-charge having slides read aloud! It’s constant ad bombardment for up-charges. I will NEVER use this place again!

Booklet to prepare you for taking DMV test was ordered, but never received. My account was charged and when I called I reached a message machine. Left my complaint and phone number. Never contacted. I suspect a SCAM.

They state "Lowest Price" at $25.00 then after you have checked in and paid your $25 plus a 4 dollar fee they tell you that you will receive your proof of completion for the courts in 2 to 3 weeks unless you want to pay an additional $39.95 to have it sent to your email within a few hours. Big scam artists!!!

A complete scam and rip off.
They charge $29.95 to get an email of your certificate when they claim it is only a “nominal charge”. That’s more than the cost of the course. I didn’t even get to the “complete transaction” page which is the next step, but after I filled in my credit card information they charged my card. I called the 800 number and even though it was between 8 to 5 according to the office is closed. I wish i would’ve read all the reviews.
I can’t even reach them to get my refund.
Now I have to dispute it with MasterCard.
