I am so impressed with the Sauna Ray 2-person infrared sauna that I purchased 10 years ago. I appreciate the careful attention to construction with materials that are not harmful to my health, and are safe e.g. with respect to wiring, heaters, type of wood, no glue. Knowing that my sauna was made in Collingwood, Ontario and all Canadian standards of construction were followed gives me peace of mind.
It has performed admirably for me, and is an important part of my health regime. I am also very satisfied with the customer support whenever I had a question e.g. how to move it to our new home. The dismantling and re-building went smoothly, following the emailed instructions.

The communication team from SaunaRay were always very helpful with every question I asked . Plus the sauna is top notch design ! We LOVE our new sauna. The 2 seater has lots of room for 2 !

I had long telephone conversations with two representatives of the company before purchasing the sauna. I was able to question them on the differences (technology etc) between their product and the other products on the market and get clear answers. I was also able to try their product at a clinic near my house and talk to the clinic owner about why she had chosen Sauna Ray. The fact that it was manufactured in Canada was a nice add on but the product had to win my confidence first. We have been using it for a few months and are very pleased with the results. Highly recommend, highly recommend this product.

Our experience began when we contacted Saunaray looking to purchase a sauna. They were very helpful with information about their saunas. The decision was clear that we would be happy with their 2 person sauna. They told us that they would build it and ship it to our doorstep in approximately six weeks. It arrived by truck and was extremely well crated. It arrived without any damage and was very easy to install.
We love the low emissions of the beautiful bass wood and the fact that we only have to run it at the low temperature of 40 degrees cel. to get a good sweat going. Love the attention to detail in the construction of our sauna!

We’re 100% satisfied with the sauna. First of all, this is a VERY friendly and reliabe company to work with. The sales team was very helpful with giving information and advise, and went the extra mile to get the sauna installed right before Christmas. The installation itself was a flawless experience: very nice and professional installer, who was careful with the interior and made sure everything got set up to our satisfaction. The sauna itself is well-built and looks great in the space and we have been using it regularly since installation. Since we’re used to a wood stoked steam/sauna at our cottage, we had to get used to the infrared heat, which feels very different, but once we got settled into our routine we love the experience and effect on our bodies and mind. Highly recommended!

I am very happy with this sauna. I got a two person because I don’t like being in a very small space. It would be cozy for two and works well for one. Ordering could not have been easier. It was ready to ship sooner than expected. Delivery was seamless. My husband and I had it together within about 30-40 min. He said unpacking the sturdy crate took longer than assembling it. It heats to a good temperature to go in within about 30 min. It smells great from the wood and feels so good. I find that the heat is most intense from the heaters radiating not actually from the ambient temperature in the sauna so it is effective at much lower temperatures than I expected. I really like how I get the muscle heat, stimulation and relaxing without overall getting overheated What is written about the external effect without raising core temperature is much more comfortable than traditional saunas, for me. Overall, I could not be more pleased Thank you.

I was first introduced to Saunaray from my sister in law, she had done her research prior to purchasing hers and highly recommended it. It was an easy process and arrived across Canada without any problems. We use it regularly and they are very helpful with any questions, very happy with our sauna.

I’m enjoying my sauna very much. It’s especially nice on these cold wintry days. It was worth the extra dollars compared to other brands knowing it’s not toxic and very well made. All my numerous questions were answered before purchasing and delivery was great. I like the excellent warranty too.

We are so pleased with the sauna that we purchased from Sauna Ray in Collingwood Ontario. It was very important to us to support a Canadian company with mainly Canadian product and we wanted something that would last. From the minute we met with the owner in Collingwood to review the product we knew it was a great product, and glad it was built right on site in Canada. Eric brought the sauna out and did the assembly and it’s been working fantastic. Excellent communication with the company including Jan the administrator. The installer Eric was absolutely exceptional on site for the assembly and explaining the product as well. We highly recommend this sauna! There are cheaper models out there, but you get what you pay for. We prefer to spend a little more money to get a great product with great customer service as opposed to an inferior product with no customer service.

The ordering process was good. I got instructions prior to shipping. It was packed well. I found a video for assembly. And the unit itself is very comfortable. I like the light for reading. Temperature comes on in a comfortable way. No buyers remorse at all.

Installation/Assembly - went quite well using the easy to follow instructions - well done. Did not notice any damage during that process. I installed a dedicated electrical circuit specifically for the sauna.

I enthusiastically did sauna sessions about 6 out of 7 days for the first two months. Since then I have cut back to 3-4 days per week. Enjoyed most, if not all of the described and expected benefits. Prior to using the sauna I routinely cover the floor/bench/backrest with towels in an effort to preserve the beautiful interior. When I finish I remove and dry out the towels prior to the next session. I am following the SaunaRay advice on hydration, use of towels in the sauna, and some of the detox strategies.

Looking forward to experiencing some of the longer term benefits of sauna therapy!

During my research process prior to purchase I had several questions for the staff - mostly about installation and assembly. They responded almost immediately, even on weekends!

A friend of ours (owns a massage therapy studio) was kind enough to let us 'test drive' the product, so we were familiar with SaunaRay prior to it arriving at our home. It really is beautifully made and was carefully packaged to make the journey.

We especially love using our sauna in the evening; it is SO cozy sitting in its warm glow. I appreciate the slow build of heat and will often head in within minutes of turning it on to take advantage of the full range of infrared.

We carefully researched prior to purchasing and were very pleased with everything we read about SaunaRay. They answered all our questions.

100% CANADIAN is wonderful of course, as well as the sustainability factor with basswood. I would highly recommend this company and product!

The delivery and set up was smooth and did not take the technician long... the use and care of the Sauna Ray Infrared sauna was clearly explained and demo strated . I use it 3 to 4 times per week .. it feels fantastic !

I’ve had my SaunaRay for 7 years. I love it! It’s become a precious part of my life. I recommend SaunaRay to all of my friends.

Although a pricier option than more out there, this is definitely one of the best our there. And made in Canada! Delivered faster than quoted (~3-4weeks) Jan and the team at SaunaRay kept me up to date throughout the process. The assembly instructions however are not very clear, and I had to call in to Steve to get support on putting it together. Once I had some clear instructions, the assembly went well (had to undo the header board I put on backwards). Very satisfied with the end product!

If you are thinking of buying a Saunaray, just don’t. Save yourself the trouble. honestly, I feel scammed. All the talk they say about assembling one with your name on it and testing it for 24 hours and then sending it to you after it’s been thoroughly checked is hogwash. About a fourth of my sauna came with incorrect parts. They did send the replacement part right away and they hired my Handyman directly and said that they would pay him to assemble what was done incorrectly. He did this, and then they totally stiffed him. They refused to pay him. On purpose. They created some hogwash about not being able to pay him through the Canadian banking system. Even yelled at him. When I called, they got super testy with me. Total smoke and mirrors. If they write a rebuttal and say he charged them too much therefore they would not pay that would also be hogwash because he had to spend several hours putting in the correct piece because a few things were not in alignment. They also asked him to utilize a piece of the incorrectly sent section, and that also took time. What he charged Sauna Ray was a minuscule fraction of what it would’ve cost to have sent a new sauna.

The finish work on the sauna itself is not great, it’s definitely not up to par for the amount I paid for. The heating elements are about as cheap as you can possibly use. They seem to work all right, haven’t used it too much yet.

Quite obviously, I have a unit that can never be serviced, but in reality, the electrical parts are so inexpensive and so widely available in your hardware store or on Amazon. I could just hire someone else to do it at a fraction of the cost.

I absolutely detest having to write this review. But I don’t see that there is any other alternative. The entire experience was simply not what I expected from a company making a product that they claim to.

Again, just save yourself the hassle.

My first mistake was letting the designer choose the company for me to deal with. I’ve had numerous and infrared saunas. This one is the worst. The door doesn’t fit properly so the heat is escaping all the time. Trying to get them to come and service a $30,000 sauna is impossible, stay away from this company.

when I 1st got the sauna it was great. They delivered it actually on time set it up but I now noticed it overtime.
it doesn’t have gas so it’s great for people of chemical sensitivity like me however, now 5 years It takes an hour to get the temperature to 55° where it before it was quite fast. I have also smelt burning when I turn it on . Has anyone else experienced the same problem? if so, how is it fixed?
