Scamwise is very useful for those cases that you are not quite sure. It is also very useful to share with your parents

A free tool that isn't trying to sell you something is such a breath of fresh air. I got a call last year from someone claiming to be from the county sheriff's office about missed jury duty, asking me to show up in person to an address in my city. A quick Google suggested that the phone number on caller ID was from the sheriff's office. Only after doing more googling and searching on Reddit did I confirm this was a scam. This tool saves so much time to actually get an answer to that question, which all of us have to ask and answer on a regular basis now, quickly and reliably.

Scamwise is one of those tools you don’t think about until you need it, and then it becomes something you actually use all the time.

Super easy tool to use where you can just upload a screenshot or forward a suspicious email to get a fast, clear answer. No account, no friction. I love that it doesn’t just give you a yes or no. It actually explains what it’s seeing and tells you what to do next, which is way more useful than trying to Google something and piece it together yourself.

I used it recently when I got a pretty convincing email that looked like it was from my bank. It had the right branding, tone, and even referenced recent activity, but something felt slightly off. I forwarded it to Scamwise and within seconds it flagged it as a likely phishing attempt, pointed out specific red flags in the message, and told me exactly what to avoid clicking and how to handle it. That alone made it worth bookmarking.

I’ve already sent it to family and friends, especially the ones who always ask me to sanity check random texts and emails (Hi Aunt Lisa!). Now they can just run it through Scamwise themselves.

Kind of wild that this is free given how useful it is. Definitely worth having in your back pocket.

I used to get lots of e-mails about sponsorship for my Youtube channel, but at some point,I couldn't tell if they were a scam or not. Now, I just make a screenshot, upload it to Scamwise and for sure know if it's a scam or not.

It’s easy and fast to use. It gives me a second opinion when something feels like a scam, and it makes me feel more secure knowing there’s a place where I can double-check suspicious messages.

I’m constantly getting spam calls and texts, including ones that look real (from my bank, Amazon, or other places). I used scamwise to check if a strongly worded letter about my mortgage was legit or not. Turns out it was a scam, even though they had some information about me and my home. It was really easy to take a picture of the letter and upload it to scamwise to get a response and give me the confidence to toss that mail in the trash!
