Disappointed by fabric quality and support
I bought two pairs of Stuart chino shorts (olive and marine blue). After only two washes—strictly following the care label—the olive pair developed noticeable, patchy color fading. Because of this quality issue, I have left the marine blue pair completely unused in its packaging. When I reached out directly to Scotch & Soda to report the fabric issue, customer support sent a generic automated template and avoided addressing it. Very disappointing standard for a (supposedly) premium brand. Photos and email records are available if needed.

No longer the company it used to be
I have bought clothes from this company for over 10 years. Unfortunately it has been a steep decline.
Material have gone down in quality. Thin jumpers used to be made of merino wool, or cotton, blended with cashmere. They have since then all been replaced with synthetic materials. The only items I continue to purchase from them are their chinos, which have remained largely unchanged over the years, and their shirts.
The style too has completely lost all of its class and is now more focused on being "trendy", and conforming to society's expectations, rather than offering something sophisticated.
The spirit that drove this company previously has completely died, most likely as a consequence of the acquisition by their parent company - Bluestar Alliance, following their bankruptcy in 2023.
The shift is perfectly illustrated by their logo. The heritage-rich vintage sewing machine logo was abandoned in favour of a minimalist, flat 'S' that lacks the original's character.
