Screenpipe turns everyday computer activity into searchable history and useful context for AI. It helps individuals and teams find information from past work, recall conversations, and turn repeated tasks into procedures that other people or AI agents can use. The desktop app runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It captures screen content and audio, then makes that history searchable. You can revisit what you saw or heard, recover the context behind a decision, or give an approved AI assistant the information it needs to help with a task. Screenpipe connects with existing AI tools through a local API and MCP server. For teams, Screenpipe supports workflow discovery and knowledge transfer. Captured work can become draft process maps, step-by-step instructions, onboarding material, and SOPs. People review and edit these outputs before sharing them, and teams can use the results to identify recurring work worth improving or automating. Capture history is stored locally by default. Users can pause recording and exclude apps, windows, and sensitive content. AI processing, integrations, sync, and enterprise storage depend on the configuration; selected information may be sent to approved external services.
