We went over all the details of every fee, potential extra cost, and cancellation policy so I knew exactly what to expect. To Christian: I never write reviews and have never done an International move. I moved to Germany with suitcases to try and build a future there with someone which ultimately didn´t work out. SDC just completed moving a 20 ft container of furniture and household items for us from San Mateo, California to Shen Zhen, China, 3 days ago. We are so happy with their work that we are asking them for a proposal to move another 20 ft container from San Mateo to Galicia, Spain. Timothy Toon of SDC did an excellent job structuring the move. Peggy Zhang of Eagles Moving in Shen Zhen expertly guided the process through Chinese customs, and delivery to our new home. We got SDC's name by asking Google AI for recommendations. Their proposal was far better than 4 other movers, and 10% better than their closest competitor. Their performance well exceeded our expectations, and our experience of moving between the USA and Asia as expats previously.

We moved from Los Angeles to Wales, and although it was a four month wait, our stuff did arrive safe and sound. Everybody at SDC was very helpful in answering questions. The movers that came to pack were efficient, and everything was packed well. I would definitely recommend SDC.

SDC moved my wife’s household from Oakland, CA to Frankfurt, Germany. The pickup was on time and professional, everything needed got wrapped in cardboard and foil. It all arrived safe after 4 months, including her squeaky yellow bike. Thanks a lot!

I used SDC for a move from Hollywood, CA to West Sussex, UK. I did a self-pack. It was a bit more expensive than the initial quote because the original quote was based on my guesstimate of cubic footage, but it was still cheaper than the other estimates I got. They gave clear instructions on what they needed to get through customs at the destination, and showed up promptly for loading. End-to-end delivery took about 3.5 months, so make sure you have a plan to get through that stretch without all your clothes/furniture. The team in the UK (Eurogroup) also showed up promptly and carried stuff up two flights of stairs.

I'm still unpacking, but so far the only thing that didn't survive the trip was a computer monitor. I blame that on my awkward packing of a curved monitor. A few boxes got dinged up, but the contents survived (use plenty of padding/packing material). I was worried about stuff getting damp because of months in warehouses, containers, ships, docks, etc., but everything is dry.

Overall, I'm really happy with how smoothly the move went.

protip: tell everyone (origin and destination delivery people) about any stairs ahead of time, because there is a fee for moving stuff up/down stairs.
