This has been going on for a while

Disappointing in the least.

Just to agree totally with recent 1 star review by Carole. Same sad experience. No response to contact emails. We supported them through Covid with our home orders but that seems to mean little to them. Such a shame as fish was excellent.

I started using this company during the pandemic. They had previously supplied to restaurants, but decided to launch a big marketing drive to save themselves from going under during the pandemic, under the strapline "restaurant quality at home". I found their ad in a national newspaper and placed many, many orders, as we eat seafood daily (no meat). I was delighted, and they claimed to be delighted to have the life-saving support of domestic customers. Shallow, shallow, shallow. Post pandemic, their website has been effectively closed down with not a single item in stock for very well over a year now, alongside a headline claiming it is due to a move to new premises ( for well over a year?! Don't think so.). They have a new site, which bizarrely doesn't reveal the price or details of anything, just a pic, and apparently no way of actually ordering anything. It is cleared designed just for wholesale customers. I have emailed at least 3 times over the past year, including asking how I could place an order, and including an accusation that they have just dumped domestic customers who they claimed saved their life during the pandemic, and they were so grateful for at the time. They haven't even bothered to acknowledge or reply to any contact at all, which effectively proves their total arrogance and lack of interest in the domestic market now that they don't need them. Frankly, if they offered me free fish now, I'd offer a few artistic suggestions as to what they could do with it. Rude, arrogant and shallow.

We have ordered from Sykes for a couple of years now! Everything we have had in the past has been outstanding! Prices are good...you get what you pay for. I'm not a huge fish lover and hate the thought of bones but I don't have to worry with any fish we have had. The seafood will send you back to the holidays you miss. I cannot fault anything! The deliveries with DPD are all you expect, you are told a time and it's there!
We will continue getting amazing products. We'll done!

Ordered Lobster Thermidor for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately it could not be delivered the day before or the day before that and 3 days before the planned eating date would have been too early so allowed it to defrost and had it the day after Valentines. I have to say the lobsters were a good size and very good value for money. Unfortunately there is some confusion between the item title and description on the website so I’m not sure whether they are Canadian or from Norfolk. The description also says they are dressed which they are not, although the instructions later go on to describe how to cut and prepare them. Overall the price makes up for these issues but they are still slightly annoying.

I have used seafood by Sykes for a little while now. I received my order today. Absolutely thrilled as always. So well packaged and presented. Re the price, you will not get this quality and freshness in supermarkets. I bought a frozen lobster from a mainstream supermarket, £11.99. There was nothing of it! The lobster i have just received twice the size if not more. The process of getting top quality fish and shellfish to the customers door can not be faulted with Sykes. Really friendly staff, easy to use website, cracking value. I will be using every month moving forward. (I might try new things!)

Fishmongers are becoming very thin on the ground and the supermarket offerings often lack excitement. The wide range offered by Sykes is by far the best I have been able to find on the internet, coupled with high quality, immaculate service and frequent really good deals. So it will continue to be my go-to online source for our fishy delights - speaking of which it seems that we are about to enjoy a very fishy Christmas.

Just received the giant prawns
Great delivery, arrived frozen, well packaged. Not eaten them yet s they are for a seafood platter on Boxing Day but if they taste as good as they look they'll be brilliant

Seafood by Sykes provide a charming and rapid telephone response when required. Experiencing shipping duress during this busy Christmas period, the management went above and beyond the call of duty, with thorough and considerate service, ensuring all would be well for our Christmas weekend. Bottom line, on point product quality, is another reason they have become our favourite, go to source.

We chose to order from Sykes because in the past we have had really good experiences with them, and when sending their hampers as Christmas gifts, had very positive feedback from recipients. This year they lived up to our high expectations - the website was really easy to use and they delivered exactly when they said they would, with plenty of advance warning, so we could make sure we were in to unpack everything. All items were thoughtfully wrapped and carefully packed with insulation to protect the fish well in transit. We will definitely use Sykes again next year, and continue recommending them to friends and family too!

New customer to this company, have to say in 50 years in purchasing goods on the net. I have never enjoyed such help and service from any supplier. Followed by prompt delivery of the finest Fish products.

Really excellent service, very friendly. The seafood is always excellent, will certainly continue to order from them. Packaging is great too.

We were given a gift voucher for a present so didn’t know what to expect as we hadn’t shopped with them before. The order process was easy, there was so much choice! We were kept informed of the delivery date and everything arrived well packaged and frozen. The portions are generous and the quality of the fish is exceptional. So far we have had the sea bass, smoked mackerel and tuna. Still to enjoy in our freezer is smoked haddock, kippers, monk fish and lobster tails! No complaints at all, very tasty!

Excellent produce every time....and l have ordered from Sykes 5 or 6 times now and every time the fish comes packed very well in a box containing ThermoPack insulation with dry ice to keep the fish frozen til l can get it in my freezer.....and always beautiful fish ......On their website l like to keep up with their recipes that they put on there....l find this very helpful....

This is the third time I-have ordered from Seafood By Skye’s. The seafood has always been excellent, also the service too. Would certainly recommend buying from them. Love their scallops and mussels.
