I’ve been using Select World Travel for the past 20 years, and in all that time I’ve never had a single complaint — only gratitude. Their team is consistently friendly, patient, and genuinely committed to finding the best possible travel solutions for every client. They don’t just book trips; they make sure the entire experience is smooth, personalised, and absolutely spot on from start to finish.

Yes, you might occasionally see a cheaper price online, but the difference becomes painfully clear the moment something goes wrong.
Online platforms are automated, impersonal, and usually route you to offshore call centres where operators simply read from a script. There’s no real expertise, no tailored advice, and no one who truly understands your situation.

Select World Travel is the complete opposite.
Michelle, in particular, is outstanding — professional, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to find the best options for your travel needs. She treats every booking with care and attention, and that level of service is priceless when you’re dealing with flights, cancellations, or unexpected changes.

After two decades with them, I can confidently say that the peace of mind and personalised support they provide is worth far more than any small online discount.

Booked flights for 6 people with Select World Travel (wish I could of seen their terrible review before I booked!)
Had to cancel Emirates flights due to the pandemic and was charged $380. Rebooked some time later with a totally different itinerary and another airline (Qatar). Had to cancel again due to borders being closed and when I went to rebook was advised that the fares had been put into a historical database and could not be honoured. On querying Select World Travel and advising that our flights should not have been put in the historical database as it had been less than 2 years from the original booking (as per Qatar's T&C). However Select advised they took the timing from our original booking with Emirates even though our new itinerary with Qatar was a different airline, different PNR and different itinerary and had to pay more!!
Tried multiple times for a refund ($9800) but Select World Travel did not want to know and could not care less.
I finally received a refund from Qatar after many hours of calling them over a period of 8 weeks.
With overseas phone charges totalling $620.
When I went to rebook fares have increased by over 40% so lost out further.
I went to Consumer & Business Services but they had a 10week wait and by the time I was recontacted by them I had received the refund but they agreed that Select World Travel is THE WORST BUSINESS AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE IN AUSTRALIA.

Booked a flight months in advance. Flight cancelled by Qantas with no viable alternative that fit visa requirements. Promised full refund in 12 ridiculous weeks.

12 weeks later, chased for the refund. They took $35 off the top of the refund and did not clarify why when immediately contacted. 2 business days later and still no explanation.

Chargeback pending, litigation for the theft will follow if chargeback is contested and lost.

Find a travel agent that won't screw you over, then hold your money for 12 weeks (courtesy of the airline of course, who won't talk to you and demand you talk to the agent, who then does nothing to fast track your refund.) Oh and then charge you $35 for the privilege of losing 3 months of interest.

Very Slow to respond, they don't respond to calls, only via emails which take days.

I have credits with Qantas, and the agency keeps blaming the airline while the airline keeps saying I need to talk to the agency.

Morale of the story: DON'T WORK WITH THEM

My flight was cancelled by the airline due to the current pandemic - Select World Travel are now demanding an exorbitant fee to refund the flight

I booked a flight some letters were left off my name on the ticket. They contacted the airline arranged the new updated ticket with no extra cost to me even after 24 hours period was over . 👍thanks team !

Horrible , they basically ruined my holidays !
The lie to us repeatedly times about a possible change of the tickets that we bought through them, we spend hours on the phone talking to the airline , they refuse to change the tickets as select world travel had the control of them , after many times contacting them , they secured that the ticket will be realised after departure, which never happened!! They lie to us til the end till we didn’t have more choice to pay them to do the change , finally we had to buy another ticket from another company !! Another 1200 dollars out of our pocket !
Horrible experience, useless service and horrible customer service , please never ever buy from them ! Looks cheap , but at the end will be double price and double stress ! Lesson learned !

I came across Selectworldtravel via ifly.com when I purchased airfares. Selectworld travel have no after-sales customer service at all and could not be less helpful. I was entitled to a refund of taxes but did not find this out until I had a conversation with the airline personnel. My request for a refund from Selectworld went on for months and was not resolved until I told them I had lodged a complaint with Fair Trading - suddenly a refund arrived in my account - a miracle.
