Excellent service, nice clean units

I accepted a fair deal on a large storage container at Shawford and for the first few years the price remained reasonable. Then it jumped forward significantly in cost. I called to discuss this and was offered a slight reduction. But from that moment the price increased exponentially at every opportunity. The price increases each year are huge when looked at as a percentage. Yes, costs may have gone up, although Shawford seems to be a low overhead yard so I’d question how the costs have suddenly soared. But not everyone can increase their wages or income and there comes a point when it gets out of hand.
I’ve recently called out of curiosity to find out if new customers were getting a better deal as I can’t imagine many people would be paying the amount I am per month for a container.
It was lucky I did. Apparently new customers rates start at £350 per year less than I pay after 8 years of being a loyal customer (this price is for a like for like sized container). I could save myself money by renting new container at this rate under my wife’s name. Or, Sentry could show some fairness after the years I’ve been putting in the pot. When I called to query the unfair pricing I was offered a small discount which was still well in excess of the rate new customers get. I would think after 8 years of custom without so much as a late payment, we would be afforded the same rent as everyone else.
I did decline the offer as I will look for somewhere cheaper instead. Once I had declined Sentry didn’t come back with any form of apology or in fact any communication at all. Very poor customer service and very unfair pricing. They will rent a unit cheaper to someone who could be in and out and leave an empty unit for months, than someone who has the unit year after year.

We needed domestic storage for two years whilst away from our house. When shopping around it surprised us how secretive some companies were about their prices, with service pushy and less than helpful. From our very first contact with sentry the service has been open honest and friendly so it was an easy decision to choose them. Absolutely no regrets, from their initial advice about size of unit (literally spot on!) through to assistance and billing we cannot fault them. To put the icing on the cake, the price for our storage was very reasonable and much less than the other companies we contacted. A well deserved five star review, thank you

I have been on holiday for a month and was feeling a bit uneasy about my belongings in my storage container, so I came down to the yard and spoke to Sue. She reassured me that all has been well within the yard and my container is secure. I have also noticed some changes (all good changes), which has also reassured me. I could not recommend this storage place enough.

Easy to access any time. Great, clean and dry units used over the winter to help with a house move.

My 3rd time using Sentry. I am pleased with the service so far, only a few days into my use of the service this time. The operation appears more slick this time but staff are still very helpfull, site is more secure with extra cameras and the convenience of 24/7 access still the best option. Relocated from Italy to the U.K. and it was our first time requiring the services of a storage company that ultimately we needed for a couple of months.
I must be totally honest and say that I was a little concerned that Sentry were the least expensive option when I researched the best storage company to use but I am so glad I chose them.
Great communication initially with Dave put my mind at rest, all my questions were answered promptly and even when there were problems our end with the transport from Italy that meant arrival times at Sentry were changing presented no problems to them. Nothing was too much trouble, and access and storage was a smooth as it could have been. The units were perfect for all our household items and furniture etc and I cannot recommend Dave, Clive, Matt and the team enough. From start to finish a first class operation AND I could not find a better deal to go with it. So, well done guys, thanks again, an absolute pleasure doing business with you.

Never used a self storage facility before, but would definitely use Sentary if I needed one again. Made house move so much easier. Easy to get to, plenty of parking and easy to manner even large items once within. Communication is good and reasonable price.

Organising storage was quick. Shown several units to see how much space we needed. Possibility to down size. Staff very helpful. Would definately recommend.

We used sentry for about 3 years. Chichester and hedge end branches we really friendly and helpful people!
Steve the manager couldn't have been more helpful .
We didn't have any issues the whole time we used their facilities!

We have had two units for several years and have been very satisfied. The storage facility was clean, we had no problems with any dampness or pests and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We would use them again if we had the need
