I had always thought that coding was hard and involved a lot of mathematics. However, when I came across SheCodes, I took a leap of faith and decided to learn how to code. My experience throughout Basics made me fall in love with coding, the lessons were amazing and made easy by Matt's great teaching, the challenges put me to test and improved my skills. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to the next level. Shecodes really is the best place to learn how to code!

The course is interactive and yo learn by doing.

The whole thing is a scam from the very first free "LIVE" seminar all the way to the certifications. The live seminar can be found on vimeo at any time...so you having to wait in a fake queue is just ridiculous and laughable at best. And ladies, this site has tracking pixels and tons of 3rd party cookies. It was built to track your every move online. They are tracking 3rd party cookies giving them session variables for google,microsoft, bing, tiktok, stripe, snapchat, facebook, cloudflare and others... While they do disclose it in their cookie policy, it shouldn't matter because i opted to not be tracked and only accepted "necessary" cookies, but apparently to them, everything you do online is their business. Why would this company need so much information about us if they are only offering coding workshops. Why would they need snapchat and tiktok and facebook trackers. They are even using tracking pixels which are 1px by 1px images that are tied to a script that tracks your internet goings-on. And guess what they are even tracking trustpilot.com sessions...Anyone can see this by going to the SheCodes site and logging in then just hit a few of the sites i mentioned, and go back to SheCodes, then open your devtools in Chrome or Edge (Ctrl+Shift+I) or F12, click the Application tab and check out your Session storage and Cookies. It is a pretty long list of cookies and session variables probably one of the longest lists of tracked sessions I have seen on a website in a while...and I have been a software engineer for 17 years. Trust me this site is crooked. I havent even begun to dig in to what their bugsnag-3.js and universal-script.js is capturing, but for now, Im just going to say if a company lies to you and says they are teaching a LIVE session and pretends to answer LIVE questions when the video is literally sitting on vimeo and can be watched at any time... well, thats not really being very truthful and doesnt give me much confidence to go any further with good ol' Matt. I want my hour back PLUS the 39 minutes I waited in the queue while watching the LIVE video on vimeo in another tab! and spoiler alert the FREE GIFT Matt promises you is Matt himself pretends to automate an email that will send you a 15% off coupon...but its really just triggered by watching the video in his video player.

I had so much fun learning how to code through the SheCodes foundation, I woke up every day excited about what I would learn. The content is set up in such a way that makes it easy to understand and it is practical from the beginning till the end, I learned by doing which I think is the best way. I highly recommend the workshops, they're fantastic!

I have always wanted to learn more about coding but somehow never got around to it. This course is perfect for me (though it can be stressfull as a new mama who is soon also working full time). I look forward to learning more.

After taking the free online course, I decided to continue and sign for the full program! I just finished the first workshop (Basics) and I loved it! The videos, instructions and resources and the great attitude of Matt, really made learning fun! I am developing a portfolio of projects that I could use in interviews and even for creating my own content. I can’t wait for the next workshop to start!

I found this course easy to follow along while learning complex and advanced concepts. Being able to break it down and attempt so many different challenges each week really allows the learnings to be ingrained. Thanks so much to Matt and the SheCodes team for such a wonderful learning experience Learning to code can be so daunting but instead I've come out of these workshops feeling more confident and prepared.

SheCodes Basics helped me to deepen my knowledge in programming. It was a rewarding and fun experience. Matt explained everything clearly and the homeworks and project helped a lot to put the things I learned into practice.

This has been such a wonderful experience! It was easy to lose track of time because Matt’s teaching methods kept me fully engaged. My two daughters who live in Europe (I’m in the USA) were also registered for the course at the same time. It was a great way to hold each other accountable to get the assignments completed. We are also planning to enroll in the SheCodes Bootcamp. This is one of the best asynchronous learning workshops I have attended. Thank you for developing such a wonderful program!

This course was an easy one due to the well explained videos and modules. It is also flexible

SheCodes Basics was just what I needed for a coding introduction. I love how each lesson comes with a video tutorial, and everything is explained so nicely. I also really appreciate the online community through Slack!
