Iâve lost weight with an online coach before. It felt really personal, everything was tailored to me, we communicated via WhatsApp twice a week. I did amazing and I lost 2 stone. This personal service was £110 for 8 weeks. Shift&lift is nowhere near the experience I had previously. I got a calorie and macro calculated for me which is something I could do myself and some generalised work out plans and a bi weekly check in. The app was so impersonal. Every two weeks I would receive a lengthy message which was nice and slightly encouraging but it wasnât constructive enough. It lacked depth and understanding of my personal circumstance. I didnât feel as accountable as I had with previous experience. The app I just donât feel worked well. Just felt automated and detached. For an eye watering £360 for 3 months, it was not worth the money. It felt like a scam to be honest.

My coach was Rachel and she was absolutely amazing! I had home workouts so when I had new equipment it was no trouble for her to add it into my programme for me.
I lost 11lbs in 7 weeks with this amazing lady and I wouldnât have been able to do it without her, the only reason my journey has (temporarily!) come to an end is because I managed to get pregnant after 2 years trying and my weight loss has absolutely been a factor in that so I honestly couldnât thank Rachel enough ð I look forward to coming back and losing it all again ð the best coach and the best group of girlies on the app!

I had been thinking about shift & lift for a while and reached out the the beginning of the year for some information- the guy who did my call back was really helpful, not salesy and not pressure at all. A few months after I got back in touch and got the ball rolling. The app is really good, easy to log food and itâs how I communicate with Rachel my coach. Her help and support has been amazing! I was buzzing to be paired with her as sheâs a mum and understands how challenging it can be to balance everything! She really supportive and always at the end of the chat if I need her. I started working with shift&lift a couple of months ago and had a great experience. The workouts are great and after getting used to, the app is actually easy to use. Celia was my coach and she was lovely and so motivating. Unfortunately, Iâm having to stop my membership now due to unforeseen circumstances. Nonetheless, Iâm considering reaching out again in the future when my circumstances change.
After recently having a baby I needed a kick start with my diet and exercise so decided to join shift and lift. I wasnât disappointed!! Such a welcoming friendly community online. My coach was Rachel and she was fantastic. She is her mum herself so was very understanding of the pressures that you face being a new mum. She is caring and gave me some motivation when I needed it. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always willing to help. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with shift and lift and hope to return towards the end of the year.

Since joining the shift&lift family, I have a lot of more confidence and feel better in myself. I started when I was 12 weeks postnatal and felt overwhelmed and anxious at first. Rachel, however, made me feel at ease. She listened to me and helped me with a plan that broke me back into the fitness/training with some nice small routines at first.

Laura and her team have been so fab even from the phone call at the very start. I originally asked about the programme a few months previous to started but didnât sign up then. A few months later when I really felt ready I reached out again and I was warmly welcomed, I was given lots of information and didnât feel pushed at all into making a decision. Laura has been my coach and has been great at adapting my plan to what suits me around work/life etc. There are great challenges that are put on which really gives you an extra push, if like me, you like a bit of competition ð Lauraâs always really supportive if you feel like youâre having a bad day she manages to boost your motivation. As a maturer lady it took me a while to pluck up the courage to join but Iâm so glad I did. Celia has been brilliant and so supportive. I lived off 1000 to 1200 calories for years and found the idea of eating so much more rather daunting but 3 months in minus 3 weeks of illness my weight hasnât gone up and Iâm feeling great. I have had a great few months joining Shift and Lift. My coach Emily has been amazing! She has given me great advice and tips to help me improve when we have checked in each fortnight. Along with giving me realistic targets that I can achieve with my food, steps and workouts. I never felt comfortable doing the free weights or any weights in the gym but thanks to my training plan, I now feel confident and happy to do weights at the gym. And I am seeing and feeling the results.
I would highly recommend joining Shift and Lift as well as seeing results, you feel it too with a great community to support you through your journey!
After sending a request for information I received a call to talk about my current situation, I asked some questions and was then left to decide if I wanted to sign up. It wasn't pushy sales, just a nice chat about my goals, struggles and they explained the reality of joining which sounded great. I'm 2 months in and am starting to improve my relationship with food, no more good or bad just everything I fancy in moderation. I'm working out consistently (a first for me!) And I finally plucked up the courage to join a gym.
The group chat is helpful and supportive. I also have my coach, (Rachel) who is always on hand to answer questions and give me support when I need it.
I look forward to seeing what more I can achieve going forward as I've already seen a change to my mind and body!

I joined shift&lift in January and I am so glad that I did. Celia is my coach and I think she is amazing! She is so supportive and helpful, there is really no task too big or too small for her. She really seems to care too, although my check in is every 2 weeks I still get messages from her in between check ins asking how Iâm doing. I was really surprised initially that I was given a large calorie allowance but Iâm loosing fat each week and Iâm never hungry. I had a couple of social weekends out in a row and although I knew I had gone over my calories on those occasions once they were over I just went straight back to my usual calorie allowance which ensured I was full of energy and enjoying my workouts. Before shift&lift if I had something at the weekend I would starve myself before and after the weekend which made me miserable and I had no energy for workouts. I joined as I find it hard to get a routine as a shift worker myself and the workouts are there for me to schedule when I have the time to do, the app also has a group chat full of people that work shifts and everyone is supportive sharing what works for them. I still have a long way to go but Iâve loved every second until now and Iâm really excited for the rest of the journey.

This is my second time using lift and shift to help me with fat loss and toning up!
Last year Laura assisted me to keep motivated and on track to be in the shape I wanted to be for my wedding and I can thank her enough for the knowledge, support, understanding and constant encouragement throughout!
This time round I was nervous to get back in touch as thought I may be seen as a failure for needing help again but I spoke with Dave on the phone and he was so lovely!! Put me at ease straight away and was so pleased to hear I was returning to lift and shift wanting to be coached by Laura again. Was really helpful at getting me set up and using the new app (which is also great- easy to use)!
I still have a couple of months left on my plan and feeling positive about the progress I will hopefully make going forwards!
Cannot recommend Lift and Shift enough, especially as a shift worker. So nice to have someone who understands an abnormal working pattern and guides you easily on how to manage through ( even after a run of long night shifts ð

I had an initial sales call with Luke who was knowledgeable about all the plans Laura offers. He wasn't too pushy, which was great, but could answer all my questions.
I've been given Emily as my coach and she checks in with me every 2 weeks but if I have a question, she is more than happy to answer whenever I ask them. She has helped me stop weighing myself everyday as it was effecting my mental health and is helping me grow some muscle as well as lose some fat.
Highly recommend this plan! It's all about the balance of shift life, nights out and eating/exercising well.

I am so glad I started ShiftandLift and really wish I started sooner! I cannot explain the difference it has made to my life in so many different aspects! My relationship with food is much better, not having to restrict food and still enjoy meals has been easy and help to change my poor eating habits (not eating enough then binging). I have huge anxiety going to the gym and having Rachel as my coach is like having a friend in your pocket. There is no question too silly and she has helped give me confidence to actually be a regular gym goer, something I never thought I would achieve, she is a real cheerleader. My mental health has also improved dramatically which means I am more present for my children and myself. Iâm going to be sad when I make the decision to go it alone, but thanks to the knowledge the ShiftandLift team and Rachel have given me itâs given me the start i needed and otherwise wouldnât have been able to achieve.

Iâve been with S&L since August 2023 and itâs made a massive difference to my relationship with food, my fitness and my confidence. Itâs a lovely community that has grown even in the short time I have been there, with more coaches and new virtual classes which are really good! Laura and her team put their heart and souls into this programme and it doesnât go unnoticed. The programme is tailored to you in terms of workouts and goals, with food your calories and protein is set and you have so many recipes to choose from that are available! If you arenât happy with something, Laura will sort it for you, she is always on hand for any questions or worries you have. I never felt like just a number and itâs lovely chatting with someone who understands and who does shift work themselves. Learning to prioritise myself is one of the key things Iâm coming away from as I leave the programme in just over a weeks time. Iâll be continuing my journey solo but I feel equipped to do so and Iâve learnt a lot about myself and my relationship with food in this time, which I will take with me going forward.
I would recommend S&L to anyone who wants to make a change and isnât sure where to start, you can work out from home or go to the gym, no pressure. Youâll never regret investing in yourself! Thank you Laura & team, keep doing what youâre doing!!

I've had really positive results doing the Shift and Lift programme and the trainers are super motivating and friendly. I've managed to lose weight and establish a gym routine without there being unrealistic or unhealthy targets to meet. The recipes that come with the plan are easy and delicious, and my partner is enjoying them too. All in all a great experience so far!

Honestly this was the best decision to start with Laura! I have been part of shift and lift since January 2024 and have already lost 3kg. Even though Iâd been going to the gym for 10 years, I saw little progress. But with Lauraâs input I have started seeing changes in such a short period of time.
