Bala is the best! Absolutely loving my ankle weights.

Want to have an amazing pilates workout at home, then you have to get the pilates kit! It includes everything you need to up your home workout, ankle weights, bars and bands! Not to mention everything is so beautiful and looks elevated in your home workout space.

I've had my bala bangles (aka ankle weights) for nearly five years now and they stand the test of time! I've also been loving all their new products and have added alot of new goodies to my pilates kit for at home workouts. Great quality, great design. big fan.

I bought the Bala Bangles ankle weights after seeing them everywhere and being skeptical that they were more about looks than function. I was wrong. They’re the first ankle weights I’ve owned that I actually want to use consistently.

They’re really comfortable - no rubbing, no pinching, and they don’t slide around while I’m moving. I use them for Pilates, barre, walks, and sometimes just while doing things around the house, and they stay put the whole time. The weight feels evenly distributed, so they don’t strain my ankles or feel awkward like other ankle weights I’ve tried.

I also love how they look. They don’t feel bulky or clunky, and they don’t scream “gym equipment.” It sounds silly, but that actually makes a big difference in whether I reach for them or not.

They add just enough resistance to make workouts more effective without making them uncomfortable. Everything feels more intentional when I wear them, especially low-impact workouts.

Overall, these are high-quality, well-designed ankle weights that actually live up to the hype. If you want ankle weights that are comfortable, functional, and don’t feel cheap, these are 100% worth it.

Would absolutely buy again.

After posting this review, Bala’s Chief Growth Officer proactively reached out to me. He was receptive to feedback, acknowledged that this experience fell short of expectations, and extended a goodwill gesture that was very appreciated. He also shared that improving the customer experience is a priority for the brand this year, including steps like adding a customer service phone line and live chat with a real agent instead of AI. I ultimately received my order, originally placed on November 28, on February 2. I really like their products, so I’m glad they were able to make this right. Overall, I appreciate the accountability, direct outreach, and the improvements being made to the brand's CX. I am open to giving Bala another chance!

ORIGINAL REVIEW (Jan. 5):
Shopping with this brand directly has been an absolute nightmare. So much so that I contacted Bala directly on Instagram to ask them if there's anything they think they can do to make this right, as I'm a fitness instructor who doesn't feel comfortable referring my clients to shop here. I ordered 2 personalized bala bangles as Christmas gifts for my boyfriend's parents as part of the company's Black Friday sale. The shipment never went out, and they didn't notify me until I reached out inquiring about updates/when my shipment would arrive. They referred me to a third-party SavedBy to order a replacement. Fine. However, one of the colors I ordered was out of stock. I chose a replacement color. This order was shipped but didn't arrive due to an "insufficient address." Which doesn't make any sense since I never changed any of the original information. They told me the replacement color was not in stock - I asked them what was in stock, expressing that this was the second time I had to do this, and magically they found "backstock" for the color I wanted. At this point, I replied to ship the second replacement order directly to the gift recipients as it was now post-Christmas. It's been over a week, and I haven't heard back from Bala about updated shipping information, etc., for my second replacement order. I really hope they can make this right.

Just once my little package with grip socks got lost somewhere. After 1 month I claimed refund and just within hours I got my money back. Very impressive!

I'm very well quipped with Bala:
Bars, Bangles, Beam, Power Ring, Resistance Bands, Socks, Balance Blocks, Hourglass Roller, Ball, Capsule Sliders.
My experience: I highly recommed Bala!

Unfortunately most of the items are sold out very quickly so I have to visit the online shop regularly to see if the items on my wishlist are back in stock.

Nur 1x ist mein kleines Paket auf dem Transportweg von Amerika nach Österreich verschwunden. Nach 1 Monat habe ich eine Rückerstattung beantragt, die innerhalb von nur wenigen Stunden auf meinem Konto zu sehen war. Top Service kann ich nur sagen.

Ich habe mich für zuhause sehr gut ausgestattet mit Bala Produkten:
Bars, Bangles, Beam, Socken, Blöcke, Bänder, Ball, Foam Roller, Capsule Sliders, Power Ring etc.
Kann ich sehr empfehlen!

Leider sind die Produkte von Bala immer sehr schnell ausverkauft, daher muss ich regelmäßig auf die Homepage schauen, ob sie wieder verfügbar sind.

The product looks nice, but it’s poorly made. More so the company doesn’t stand behind their quality.
I had a jump rope handle break after 20 uses. Since the product wasn’t purchased off their website, they don’t stand behind their product from other sales outlets.for the price of the product I would recommend something else.

Was gifted a bala mat from a client. The mat stuck together and caused damage to the mat. When I reached out to customer service, they needed to know who gifted it order number and such. I thought that was rude, to ask my client for all this information. They told me they could not help me unless they had all the information. Therefore, I will never nor will I tell any of my clients to purchase from this company.

I’ve slowly built up a little Bala collection – the Beam, Mat, and Bangles – and I honestly love them. The Beam makes strength workouts feel approachable, the Mat is so cushy and never slips, and the Bangles are my go-to for yoga and pilates. They’re stylish enough that I don’t feel like hiding them away, which actually motivates me to use them more. Yes, they’re pricier than regular gym gear, but for me the mix of design and function is totally worth it.

I would never recommend this brand to anyone!! I ordered balance blocks, jump rope and balance ball on October 18th. To this day (October 27) no process have been made, literally none! I have reached out to them yesterday, no response. Reached out again both from contact us and instagram, no response. Finally I get a hold of someone from their chat bot. So, the balance blocks and jump rope(the color I picked) are not in stock but the balance ball is. Though, they didn't even send the item were in stock, or let me know what the heck was going on. If I didn't reached out, I would have never known. The blocks will be in stock next week, and jump rope in pink will take 2 months!!!! And they asked if I wanna have a different color than pink, than they have it in stock. Like why the hell no one asked me?? Were they gonna wait 2 months??? What a terrible business model! Don't ever shop from them if you don't wanna lose your sanity!!
